Endless Winds

And there he sat in the solemn desert.

Waiting.

Anticipating someone he knew would never come.

And in his dark desolate world, he was alone.

The wind that whistles through the braches and twigs whispered sweet nothings into his ear.

His only friends were the desultory thoughts that came and went endlessly through his mind.

He was alone.

But he stayed.

And he waited.

And there he would be, there he would stay, there he would wait, beyond an infinite eternity; until his bones turned to dust, and any memory of him was carried away with the wind.

Wow. This looks much longer on paper. This little drabble seems like it should be a foreward/ description to an extremely intricate story that I am way too lazy to do. Also this is my first story here. And there will be two more drabbles afer this.... like some sort of trilogy not really.  I think I wrote more here, than the actual drabble. ok. I hope the next will be better (and longer). ~Admin N
