THE NIGHT SHIFT
Description
The side of story of the people witnessing their romance.
Foreword
“They came here from time to time. Usually after midnight. They looked really lovely together. He had his eyes fixed on her during their meal. And the girl...the girl spoiled the guy to the roots of his hair and endlessly nagged him over his health. A cute couple made in heaven!”
- Kim Hyeseok, 41, 24 hours street food stall owner
“I saw them a lot. They always come to watch the midnight show. They acted like the world was never exist but their own little world. They had their eyes only for each other. And....his always...always had his arm drapped around her waist possesively. Like he was afraid that someone will took his girIfriend away from him. Well, I couldn't blame him. I guess I would be like that too if I have a girlfriend as pretty as her. She looked less prettyone compared to her group mates on TV but in reality....I guess she’s the prettiest!”
- Kwon Junho, 23, ticket guy on movie theatre
“They were couple since a long time. Maybe since the beginning of the show. I remember he said once on TV that the girl called him when he was hospitalized for his cord nodules but he didn’t let her came and visit him to check his condition because there were fans....his fans, camping on the hospital parking lot. Well, it was not entirely wrong....but it was not the actual thing happened that day. The real thing was...she was there holding his hand when they rushed him into ER. Her eyes and face so red from too much crying and she looked like someone robbed her soul away. She refused to leave until he woke up from his unconciousness and only agreed to leave nearly dawn after he weakly convinced her that he was okay. And....and when he appeared in hospital a week after for his check up, he came with her. The same girl. And I swear, I saw them a few more time after that.”
- Ahn Hyerim, 29, ER Nurse
“Oh yeah I met them a lot. Of course since both of them live in this building. Ohh how I love that young couple. two most polite young people with generous hearts I hardly found these days. The girl naturally attentive. She asked me a lot about my wife and often prepared candies and chocolate for my children. And her boyfriend, he gave my oldest boy a guitar on his 15th birthday and asked me to bring him along on my night shift to give him a private lesson once or twice in his unit. I will forever thank them and I will guard this bulding front and back doors with my life. To keep their privacy intact and to make sure they enjoyed their romance as other normal youngsters in love!”
- Ock Raecheong, 47, Building security.
