Sehun’s POV:

I grunted under my breath out of dissatisfaction when I saw her passing out on me. She felt hard onto the cold ground, her right side of the face getting completely covered in mud but her beauty still shined. She had fair skin and a delicate, wiry frame. She looked like what normal humans would say, a type of model in some magazine ad. She was extremely blessed with her looks there was no doubt. Her jet black hair fell over one shoulder, slightly covering her face and dipping into the mud. She had her eyes closed. The horrified expression that she had on her face not long ago was now gone. Sumin looked to be a sleep, I could have believed that she was having the time of her life. A rest without any nightmares but then I would just be an idiot. I knew a far different story, after working for so long with people like her…she was just suffering and it was only the beginning. She is going to get extremely lucky if she will just die that moment before the side effects can catch up to her and devourer her. She will be eaten up alive with her desire for more - and for some reason that made me excited. Just how long is she going to last? Her body had been abandoned on the cold dirty ground that was slowly getting stained with the rain droplets. My eyes travelled down her body, taking in every-detail of her now soaked clothes. After what seemed a while my gaze once again landed on her face. “Five minutes and 30 seconds.” I mumbled to no one in particular, secretly impressed by her effort of staying in Luminosum for longer than a minute, yet alone being able to handle my mansion. I gently placing my icy hand over my glowing tattoo, the pain felt as if a dagger kept on stabbing me constantly without a break. Without much thought I scrapped my neck with my nails, trying to get rid of that damned tattoo that was causing me so much pain, it was as if I was trying to erase it with my mere fingers. Soon enough after numerous scratches the darkest red-coloured blood came dropping, invading my skin – it didn’t last long as my small wound healed itself within few seconds. I bit onto my lips gently trying to calm myself down. The pain was gone. My expression guarded as I notice the hiding figure in the shadows. “I’m not that stupid Kai.” I mumbled as I stare at the dark figure, he seemed to hesitate for a little while before finally deciding to approach me obediently. I smirked when I saw him in full glory Kim Kai. He had a lean yet powerfully built body, it was something that could easily fool anyone, His hair was coal-black and eyes an unearthly shade of black, the moment he stopped right in-front of me, his eyes changed to inhumanly dark red.   “Yet you brought the weakest soul you could ever bring in Luminosum? I’m not sure if you are an idiot or you just want to stir trouble again?” Kai said as he gently poked Sunmi with his foot, the girl pretty much looked dead and I wouldn’t be surprised if she was - those drugs are extremely powerful things and not many even make past the first barrier of waking up here yet coming to my place was the biggest challenge that any of them could ever have. I smirked at his sudden remark, which made him even angrier “I never knew you were such a lap dog of Suho’s, lighten up will you?” I answered him simply, ensuring that I keep that smirk on my lips. I knew far too well that even if he hated my guts that moment he wouldn’t dare to do anything. His scar that was slashed under the corner near his right eye was the proof. “Sehun I could care less when you bring people like her in our territory but I just don’t want to go through the whole again, and I can ensure that I will not deal with it. If you get find out by your father, the god of this age Apollyon, I will personally kil-” I interrupted him with my own cold words “You will personally, what? Kill me, Don’t give yourself too much credit Kai I know you are my dearest partner and so called best friend but you don’t surely think that you could harm me? Because if you do then we have a problem.” There was a long silence after my words cut through the air, we both stared at each other – being surrounded by water and anger, steam enveloping us before another figure quickly showed up. “I beg your pardon, my brother over here didn’t have such a good day today.” D.O stated in quick manner as he quickly placed a hand on Kai’s shoulder which made Kai scoff, but as D.O squeezed his left shoulder, Kai’s face was growing darker, his mask leaving his face as a face filled with pain showed up. Within seconds Kai’s scapula snapped, as it did D.O let go of it. With an emotionless face I stared at smirking D.O who just broke his own brother’s shoulder with mere of a touch, he his dry lips before moving his dark gaze on the human lying beside him. “And she is?” “A nobody, just a lost soul that I’m going to take to secrete place.” I said with clear authority in my voice which made D.O frown in disappointment “Shame, I could have found a perfect job for her at our place.” He shrugged simply before deciding to walk off, leaving me with Kai who was in extreme agony.

“Your brother is scarier than this whole place added together.” I stated which made Kai break a small smile, I saw him kneeling onto his knees while holding onto his shoulder tightly, trying to somehow substance the pain that usually would be healed intently. “I prefer getting my punishment by anyone except him, his powers make it impossible to not feel any pain and heal instantly.” Kai whispered as I saw his shoulder slowly repairing itself, the boy in-front of me stood up before taking a playful swing at me with his just broken arm. I didn’t even bother to move away from his swing as it stopped mere few millimetres in-front of my face, I saw him lightly frown due to my lack of reaction before turning away and walking back to the mansion. Of course not without muttering insults about me.

My gaze found her lifeless body again, curiosity filling my blood when I saw her veins darkening. “So it has began?” I felt someone beside me murmur, I didn’t have to bother to look to know who that person is.
