A Million Faces [TaeNy]
Favourite Soshi Fics
Review:
There's something about the way ohsugarandsalt writes - the way she carries emotion across, the way she can be so eloquent with smaller words and simple sentence structures. It's a shame that she, like many writers of the older, golden generation, isn't in the fandom anymore. Oh I'm getting nostalgic now, even though I got into fandom quite late and wasn't around for those writers. This fic has Taeyeon as a brooding, womanizing rocker (so quite close to many people's head canon Taeyeon) and Tiffany as a young but not naive fan. Well I wouldn't necessarily call her a fan, but I don't know how else to describe her - she manages to be very Tiffany and yet unlike how Tiffany is often portrayed. It's hard to explain; this is just a great TaeNy, a classic TaeNy, and I definitely recommend it.
Excerpt:
“You hardly know me,” Taeyeon said sleepily.
“That’s ok,” a hint of disappointment in her voice, “I know that you were just an idea,”
“What am I now?” Taeyeon replied, opening an eye.
Tiffany danced her fingers idly on Taeyeon’s arm for a moment before sliding her hand into Taeyeon’s palm. She stared at their joined hands and looked Taeyeon in the eye before answering with a soft chuckle, “A little more human.”
