“You're Not Coming?”

He was trying not to pay attention as the sweat rolled down his cheek or the sharp pain in his side. With only a week left before EXO’s first solo concert all the boys knew they had to give their all. That’s why, despite the pain and tiredness, the eleven members of EXO were practicing.
The door opened. While the other members didn’t seem to notice or care, Tao snuck a peek. It was one of the staff members. The man went straight to where EXO’s manager was sitting. Tao was curious because of the clearly worried look on the man’s face. He wanted to listen in on their conversation but he knew it was pointless. Korean was hard enough at full volume much less being whispered.
He decided he didn’t need to know Korean after all, however, when he heard the man say Kris’ name. Tao turned his attention back to practice with a wry smile on his face. His hyung must be causing trouble again. He was just thinking how un-leader-like the older boy could be sometimes when their manager called out for the boys to stop.
“Have any of you spoken to Kris recently?” The manager asked once he had gotten their attention. There was a general murmuring and shaking of heads. Tao couldn’t help but notice how the manager seemed specifically interested in his response.
“Not since we left China.” He said. Instantly a concerned line appeared on the man’s face. The staff member who was now standing next to the manager seemed to have decided something before he addressed the group.
“I need you all to take a moment and try to contact him. If any of you are able to get a hold of him or get a response let me know right away.”
The boys slowly made their way to their respective bags to find their phones. Baekhyun, in his own usual loud way, explained that he had accidently left his phone at their dorm. Tao did his best to ignore the loud boy. He wasn’t exactly sure what was going on but he couldn’t help but feel thankful to Kris for buying him a moment of rest. Tao slid down onto the floor leaning against the practice room wall as he typed a message to Kris on his phone.
