He was never one to show grand gestures.
Once, and only once, in the form of a hundred red roses—he said it was too embarrassing and he was sorry he could probably never do it again.
His face was almost as red as the roses blooming. He stood awkwardly with feet restlessly shifting. But it didn’t matter, because the wide grin he gave when his effort was paid with a simple ‘thank you’ was blinding.
