Atonement
Description
Someone is after the barren, blind swordswoman who is known for only doing good and living for the betterment of others. Park Bom knows exactly who he is and probably what he wants, but even with all her skill and years of experience, she is not sure she is ready to face him.
Foreword
This is an entry for: The 5 Senses Writing Contest.
The prompt I will be using is:
"You must learn to heed your senses. Humans use but a tiny percentage of theirs. They barely look, they rarely listen, they never smell, and they think that they can only experience feelings through their skin. But they talk, oh, do they talk."
~Michael Scott~
Due by August 1st, 2014. ~ Completed! XD
Park Bom was stronger and more skilled than she'd ever been. Her exploits were recounted across the land and everyone knew not to contact the swordswoman for anything of personal gain. She was no mere sword for hire and some called her a saint because of it, which she politely declined with a demure shake of her head.
With a soft spot for troubled women and children, no one really knew why she would have such a persistent following determined to take her down. Oh, if they'd wanted her dead, they would have found a way, but that was not the point.
Their mission was not simply defeating the do-gooder. It was so much more complicated than that. Park Bom knew as much herself.
But even she has no idea about the full extent of her own blindness.
