Twenty Six

Luhan stepped into the room and smiled to himself to see the girl frowning at the document on her desk as she flipped through it. She lifted her head up when he sat down in front of her desk and smiled. "What brings you here, Lu?" Haru asked as she closed the reviewed document. "You're glowing," Luhan commented out of the blue. Her eyes widened and she felt her cheeks grew warm, but she covered it all with an awkward laugh. "What are you talking about?" she asked, avoiding his doe eyes. Luhan chuckled at her behaviour. "Tell me my dear Haru, are you happy?"

Haru was taken aback with the question, nevertheless she managed a nod. Luhan laughed quietly at her confused look. "Why do you ask?" Luhan chose to ignore her question and smiled inwardly to himself. "Are you... in love with him?" Haru blushed deeper and opened to distract him, but Luhan was fast. "Aahhh... answer me, Mrs. Wu." he smirked while she glared at him. Knowing Luhan, he wasn't going to give up so she sighed in defeat and looked down at her hands on her lap. "Yes." she replied quietly but the man heard her loud and clear.

"So, my next question-"

"What's with the sudden questionnaire?" she cuts his words off with a raised brow. Luhan smirked. "Because I felt like it. Don't cut me off when I'm talking, little girl." he said sassily causing her to roll her eyes. "Now where was I? Oh yeah, does the great Wu know?" Haru sighed and shook her head. "And why not?" Haru gave him an annoyed look but he remained passive. When he raised an impatient brow, she groaned silently to herself and shrugged. "Because I haven't confessed."

"Then you should."

Haru looked up at him and bit her bottom lip. The man waited patiently for her to speak and she broke open a moment later. "What if he doesn't feel the same?" she whispered. Luhan could hear the pain in her voice and sighed softly to himself. Still, he kept mum and let her continue. "What if one day he leaves because he found someone better? What if... what if I'm the only one hoping for a happy ever after?"

Luhan took a deep breath and called her name, making her look up at him. "Tell me, Haru. Did Kris do anything that made you doubt him? Cause I'm pretty sure you told me that he was the one who suggested to give this marriage a try." When Haru said nothing, he continued. "From what I know, Kris can be loyal when he wants to be. And seeing him lately, I don't think you can find any other guy who is as loyal as him. Sure he used to sleep around, but I'm sure he hasn't even look at other women's direction the moment you two married. Tell me I'm wrong and we can rest our case."

Haru bit her bottom lip and avoided her gaze which Luhan took it as an agreement. "You see, you shouldn't feel that way. As a third party, I can say that the guy is head over heels for you, Haru." Haru looked up at him and Luhan smiled softly. "You two look so beautiful together that it outshines me and Liyin." he jokes and she chuckled, her cheeks growing warm as she replayed Luhan's words in her head. "Tell him, Haru." Luhan said softly. "Guys can be slow sometimes, and it's okay for you to be the one to step forward first. Just put your trust in him and take a leap, okay?"

She smiled and nodded.

Haru

It's been hours since Luhan left my office, but I couldn't stop thinking about the things he had said. Could it be? Does Kris really love me? I bit my lip in excitement and shook the smile off my face when I realised I was acting like a lovesick teenager. But the smile returned, and I chuckled softly to myself. My gaze landed on our wedding photo on my desk and smiled wider, recalling all the sweet moments we had on that day.

"Do you know how beautiful you look when you smile?"

My head snapped to the door upon hearing the familiar voice and I couldn't help myself from smiling wider as I spotted him leaning against the doorway, looking handsome in his suit. He flashed me his smile before shutting the door behind him and locking it. My eyes remained on him as he approached the desk and took a seat on the same chair Luhan occupied hours ago. "What were you looking at?" he asked. I picked up the photo frame and showed it to him, and he reached forward to take it from me and leaned back against the chair.

"You looked so beautiful in that dress, did I tell you that?" he asked and I blushed. "I-I think so." I uttered and he chuckled. "Best night of my life," he muttured with a fond smile which made me fan myself. I heard him laugh lightly and turned to see him staring softly at me, making me melt into a pile of goo. "Come here, baobei." he whispered and my body immediately reacted.

I got up from my chair, circled the desk and approached him. He gently took my wrist and tugged me down, making me sit on his lap. I circled my arms around his neck and closed my eyes as he leaned upwards to kiss me. The kiss was slow; there was no hurry. We were simply enjoying the way our lips seemed to perfectly mould against each other and when we pulled away, we were both smiling at each other. "Are you busy?" he asked and I shook my head. I still couldn't trust my voice. "Then pack up, baobei. I want to take you somewhere."

I glanced at the time on my wrist and nodded. But before I could get off his lap, he tightened his arms around my waist and pressed his lips onto mine. I shrieked in surprise and moaned when he darted his tongue into my mouth. My hands travelled to his hair and I fisted my fingers there, getting quite with the kiss that grew heated. He groaned in satisfaction as I his tongue

Chapter 49: I came back on AFF just to reminisce those old days of stanning Kris Wu. God, I read so much of his fanfictions back then because I'll never get tired of him but the news broke me. I'm sure it's not only me crying while reading the threads on twitter and news outlet. It was heartbreaking and difficult to accept because in my heart, Kris Wu will always hold a special place. He was my first bias in EXO, he used to be on my calculator cover when I'm 15, almost everyone in my class knows my obsession with him. But at the end of the day, he was a human. And there are no perfect human in this world. He was bound to make mistakes. He was bound to be different from what we portrayed him to be. While it is normal to be imperfect, that does not excuse ual or predatory behavior. ual and r@pe allegations are not small matters, not measly problems that can be magically solved just because he had the money and looks for it. If he is guilty, may he be punished accordingly with the laws. Until then, my stance shall be he is guilty until proven innocent.

May each one of us are given the strength to handle the news and future development of the cases. Stay safe and get vaccinated. Thank you.

Chapter 49: "i'm not taking sides to be safe"? i'm so sorry you guys were raised in a world full of misogyny you'd think that a false ual allegation could ruin a millionaire man's life. rumors about kris' ual misconducts have been going around for years with multiple underaged girls for as long as i can remember. there's no smoke without fire. why would tens of girls come out and show fabricated texts of a man who has a decade of successful career? not siding with any of the parties involved in a ual assault allegation literally means you're siding with the predator. if it's ever proven that the victims were lying (highly doubt that. but let's just pretend for the sake of this argument), why would you feel bad about not trusting kris--he doesn't even ing know we exist lol? i'd rather side with a bunch of liars rather than an actual ual predator by not picking a side just because he was my bias. kris, in any way, shape, or form, will not be hurt by fans like us taking sides in a case like this. even the court of law might not hurt his reputation in a way that matters because again and again powerful men have returned to mainstream media even after cases where they were proven to be guilty has happened. think kevin spacey, think curtis lepore. and then think about marie adler. don't know them? google them.

god, i remember being 17 and thinking i'd have a chance with kris because news of his ex gfs came out and they were around my age. and he was ing 26 then. now when i look back, that should've been the first red flag.

dear author, you are doing the right thing by changing the surname of the character in your book. but i hope you reflect again on the reason why you wouldn't pick sides in a case as dire as involving of underaged girls. be a better person today.

Chapter 49: I was and am still a fan of him but as for now, I will just wait for the correct news. I'm staying neutral. I go 'Innocent until proven guilty' for now. Better safe than sorry. I don't want to regret it.

Chapter 49: Authornim, you're not alone in this. I also went through the exact same feelings as yours simce 2014. And then now this happened. It is really dissappointing and who knows which side is the truth.

But don't worry about changing the surnames of the characters and all because it's your right and you are the writer. I as a reader will give my full support to you. Hwaiting!😊

Chapter 49: Authornim, you wrote MTMB with Kris Wu as your main character but the story is yours. Regardless what the character name may be the story is still yours. I believe that in all things will come out.
