Married To My Boss
Chapter Fourteen
Kris
"She seriously said that?" I sighed and nodded my head, placing the can of beer to my lips before dawning it down once more. I heard Tao scoffing in disbelief from the other couch, but I didn't bother to turn to him. I kept my gaze straight, looking at who-knows-what and kept drinking from the can of beer. When it finished, I reached for another one and popped it open before taking more sips of it. "Kris-ge," he called and I raised my eyebrow, still not turning to him. "You're attracted to her, aren't you?" Unfortunately, I was drinking when he asked and I ended up having a coughing fit. Instead of helping out, the idiot laughed at me and I glared at him. "Shut up, will you? You're going to wake her up." I hissed and he gave me an amused look.
"Did Kris Wu just told me to shut up so I won't wake his fiancé?" he teased, glancing at the direction of my bedroom where Haru was sleeping in. "Wow, that's new." "Shut it, Tao. I didn't ask you to come here to make fun of me." I growled and he scoffed. "Right. You called me over to talk your feelings out. Do continue, Kris." he replied with a mischievious smile on his face. I groaned. "You know what? Nevermind. Get out." He laughed at this. "Take a chill pill, gege. I was just messing with you." He sighed and took another sip of beer before clearing his throat. "Seriously though, you are attracted to her, right?" Sigh. "I'm not, Tao."
"Really? Then why are you suddenly caring towards her?" he asked. "What's with all this 'I'll take care of my wife' talk? Since when do you let girls sleep on your bed?" Tao gave me no chance to defend myself as he asked question, pointing to my bedroom for the last one. "Cause as far as I recall, Kris ing Wu does not care for anybody, does not bend so easily, and definitely does not let anyone sleep on his bed; on different reasons then germaphobic Luhan, that is." he muttured the last part. "Seriously, ge. Just a month ago you asked Chen to find Haru so you could make her cancel the whole ordeal, but here you are addressing her as your fiancé and even saving her from that crazy ! You changed!" he exclaimed. "It's good but it's scary at the same time. What other reason would it be other than you're attracted to Haru?"
I blinked as I tried to process every single thing Tao had told me. Do I really do that? Did I really --- ing hell, Kris. What are you doing? Are you really attracted to her? Damn it! What the hell are you doing?
The night went on till morning, and I was still seated on the couch even after Tao left. I kept on thinking and repeating his words inside my head, and it's making me feel so dizzy. I didn't like it. I didn't like the change it brought. It feels so foreign and I hate it. I remained in the same position as the clock strikes seven, and I hear my bedroom door open before the sound of feet shuffling against the floor was heard. "Kris?" I heard her voice. It sounded sleepy and hoarse. She probably just woke up. "Kris, what are you doing out... here?" I glanced up and realised she was standing at the end of the couch, eyes on the empty cans of beer on the table. "Did you drink all this?" she asked, taking a seat on the same couch. "What happened? Is everything okay?"
"Wash up and I'll send you home." My voice sounded cold and harsh, and it's no wonder she looked surprised. She blinked before a frown made its way to her face. "Kris, wha --- " "Just do what I told you to do." I said, standing up and making my way over to the bedroom, slamming the door shut behind me after that. I sighed in frustration and threw myself onto the bed, smelling her vanilla scent on my sheets. I sighed. What the am I doing? The amount of beer I consumed and the lack of sleep made me drowsy immediately, and I soon fell asleep.
Haru
I stared at the closed door with a frown on my face, completely confused with what had happened. I slowly turned back to see the empty beer cans on the table and sighed. Did something happened last night? Omo, he's not pissed after that talk last night, is he? I groaned and hit the side of my head in frustration. "Idiot, idiot, idiot!" I said to myself and sighed once more. But what is there to be pissed about? Is he... did he planned to sleep with someone else during those period? I found myself frowning deeply at the thought of Kris fooling around behind my back. I didn't like the feeling one bit. In fact, I hate it so much that my hands turned into fists and I was angrily biting my bottom lip. Song Haru... What? Are you willing to lose your ity to your boss then? Uhhh... no? But then again, he's going to be my husband after the wedding. So you're going to let him touch you and satisfy his needs? Yes- No- I don't know! Think carefully then, Song Haru. If you don't want him to fool around behind you, do what you have to do.
I soon found myself cleaning up the whole house to distract myself, not bothering to check on Kris even though he said he'll be sending me home. I cleaned the house, washed the dishes and even did his laundry; I was done by noon. I took a moment to relax and went to prepare him a simple lunch. Once that was done, I realised I was sweating and I didn't have any other clothings on me. Should I ask him for some clothes? But he looked angry earlier. I contemplated if I should but my thoughts were cut off when the doorbell rang. Out of sheer panicked, I found myself squatting down by the couch in the living room. I then realised that whoever it was couldn't see me so I tiptoed towards the small monitor on the wall to check who it was. Relief washed over me when I realised it was Kyungsoo and I quickly went to the door to open it.
"Hey..." he smiled at me then frowned when he saw my messy state. I blushed. "Are you... busy?" he asked and I blushed deeper when I caught the meaning behind his question. "N-No, I was just cleaning the place up." I said as I moved aside, letting him into Kris's luxurious condo unit. He chuckled before turning to me, handing me my handbag and a white paper bag. "Thanks," I said but frowned at the unfamiliar bag. "What's this?" "Something for you to change into." he told me then sniffed the air. "Is that --- " "Soybean paste? Yeah... I just prepared it with whatever ingredients I could find in his fridge - which isn't much." I told him. "Well, are you leaving soon?" I was about to shake my head but ended up nodding instead. "Do you mind if I go shower first and then dropping me off to the office?" I asked, batting my eyelashes and he laughed. "Sure, Haru. I'll wait here."
Luckily, Kris had a guestroom which had a bathroom attached to it so I didn't have to go into his room to shower. I wasn't ready to see him with all these thoughts in my head, and considering he hasn't left the room since this morning, I'm pretty sure he was sleeping. It took me about ten minutes before I was done and I walked into the kitchen to find Kyungsoo at the sink while Kris was at the counter, sipping onto a glass of water. He didn't lift his head up to look at me and I cleared my throat awkwardly before turning to Kyungsoo. "Uh... should we go now?" I asked and he nodded. "You don't mind me taking your fiancé with?" he asked Kris in a teasing manner. Kris sco
