❝Word Order & Common Participle❞
As you all can see, unlike English, the Korean verb comes at the end of a sentence or clause. The Korean word order is also quite flexible due to the special markers attached to the words in the sentence. The markers are also called Particles, which marks the function of the words in a sentence.
Here are the Particles or special markers:
(a) Subject Markers
ga (가) - should be used if the subject ends with a vowel.
i (이 )- should be used if the subject ends with a consonant.
(b) Object Markers
eul (을)- used if the object ends with a consonant.
reul(를)- used if the object ends with a vowel.
(c) Place & Time Marker (in/at/on) [this will be discussed in the next chapter]
e (에)
eseo (에 서)
Here are some examples:
진수가 밥을 먹습니다. Jinsoo eats rice. (Jinsoo rice eats.) [Jinsoo-ga bab-eul meoseubnida] n
