❝Reading Romanized Korean (Vowels)❞
Since the chapter name is quite long, let's call this chapter RRK. In this chapter we'll all learn about how the Korean words are spoken.
There is a very important distinction between reading of romanized Korean and English. It does not entirely mean that if the Korean word is Romanized it would be pronounced like an english word. They are both different. I repeat the pronunciation is different.
Let me give a few examples:
Vowels:
eo (ㅓ), eu(ㅡ ), ae (ㅐ), and oe (ㅚ) are all considered as single vowels in romanized Korean. Therefore you should give extra attention to those vowels, do not split them into two. And lastly be careful with the vowel u(ㅜ)
Simple Vowels Pronunciation a ah eo uh o oh u oo eu uh i ee ae ae e eh oe eCompound Vowels Pronunciation ya yah yeo yuh yo yoh yu yoo yae yae ye yeh wa wah wae wae wo wuh we weh ui uey
