Jungkook sighed as he followed—or maybe stalked—his crush from behind. Yeah, he was in love with his neighbor, Kim Taehyung. But sadly, even though they were neighbor, he didn’t have a gut to talk to her. He felt like a coward. He was a popular kid in high school yet he didn’t have a gut to talk to an average girl like Taehyung.

Taehyung’s face looked paler as she walked to her home from school. Sure, the distance between her home and school wasn’t far enough but she felt the distance was really far as the dizziness started to hit her. She even didn’t realize that the most popular guy in her school was following her anxiously. She felt darkness was swallowing her slowly and she fainted.

“Taehyung!” Jungkook quickly ran and caught Taehyung’s body before she fell on the ground. He quickly picked her up with a bridal style and ran to her house. He just wished his Taehyung would be fine.

“Jungkook.” He turned around when a soft girly voice called him as he walked silently to his school. A smile formed on his face because he really recognized whose voice is it. He turned around and found Taehyung was standing behind him with her head hanged low. She couldn’t see Jungkook in the eyes because the most popular guy in school was saving her last night. She was so embarrassed.

“Thank you for save me yesterday.”

Jungkook walked to her and chuckled, lifting Taehyung’s chin with his index finger. He swore Taehyung looked so cute yet beautiful when her face was so red like that. “You’re welcome.”

“Then, I need to go to the school now.” She was trying to run away but Jungkook grabbed her wrist, making her stopped immediately. “W-What?”

Jungkook smirked as he had a super good idea on his mind. “Because I saved you last night, you have to do something to me in return, Kim Taehyung.”

“W-What is it?” she asked nervously. She couldn’t help but blushing again at the slightest skin-contact that Jungkook made. She was a shy girl and Jungkook was the popular student. No wonder then.

“Be my one-day girlfriend and you have to be my partner for the prom night tomorrow. Okay?” Taehyung gasped at Jungkook’s wishes. The most popular guy asked her out. She swore it was all girls’ dream to be asked out by the popular Jeon Jungkook.

“I’m afraid your fans will bash me, Jungkook.”

“No, they won’t, Tae. Trust me.” he wrapped his arm around her petite shoulders, protecting her. “And, call me Kookie because I’m your one-day boyfriend.”

“Kookie.” She mumbled but still audible enough to Jungkook. She was going to look up at Jungkook but the younger just pressed his lips against hers, pecking it, sending electricity to her body. And she realized the moment their lips touched, that was the moment she fell for Jungkook.

She was right, many Jungkook’s fans asked him who is she and Jungkook just gladly introduced her as his girlfriend and asked his fans not to bash or bully her. Luckily his fans were mature fans so they completely accepted their relationship even though some of them accept them not with a sincere heart, but at least they didn’t harm Taehyung.

One week flies so fast. After they experienced their one-day relationship, they started to get closer like talking together and walking home together. They were lucky though, because they were neighbor and their house was side by side, so they could see each other through their bedroom’s window.

Jungkook walked back and forth with his tuxedo in his room anxiously. Sometimes he would take a peek through his window. Actually he didn’t to be afraid about Taehyung not coming to the prom night because coming with him to the prom night was the part of the deal. But he couldn’t help it but felt so anxious.

“Maybe I should wait for Tae in front of her house.”

Jungkook waited in front of Taehyung’s house for ten minutes but he felt like waiting for ten hours. He was so anxious yet curious how Taehyung will look tonight, even though he knew Taehyung would look gorgeous in his eyes.

“Kookie.”

He turned around and found Taehyung stood behind him with a simple white dress and her long brown hair just curled and fell perfectly behind her back. Jungkook’s jaw dropped and his eyes widen. Taehyung looked so gorgeous tonight. Breathtakingly gorgeous.

“Y-You look gorgeous, Tae.”

“T-Thank you.” A blush crept on her cheeks again as she walked to Jungkook and linked her arm with Jungkook’s.

“Let’s go, princess.”

The whole school couldn’t help but starring at Jungkook and Taehyung. They really envied them because they looked so perfect together. And also they looked like they wanted to get married, Jungkook with his black tuxedo and Taehyung in her white dress. They looked really perfect.

“I’ll be the prom king and you’ll be the prom queen, Tae.” He whispered into Taehyung’s ear, making a blush once again creeping on her cheeks. “And I’ll kiss you when I become the prom king and you become the prom queen.”

Taehyung didn’t say anything but just hid her face because damn, Jungkook being all that romantic and cheesy and everyone envied them. She swore she fell for this popular guy, hard.

“They will announce who’s the king and who’s the queen, Tae. Let’s get ready to go to that stage, should we?”

“You’re so confident, Kookie.” She mumbled and once again Jungkook pecked her lips again, sending a shiver to her spine, like he took her breath away.

“So, who will be the prom king tonight?” the MC said and opened the envelope on his hand slowly, making the students grunted because dammit he opened it too slow. “And our prom king tonight, no other than Jeon Jungkook!”

The girls were cheering to him and he just flashed his smile to the girls, making their legs felt so jelly while Taehyung just nodded.

“Now for our prom queen, who will be our prom queen tonight?” the MC opened the other envelope, this time he opened quickly because he afraid those girls would throw their heels to him if he opened it very slow. “And our prom queen is Kim Taehyung! Congratulation. Both of you can go up to this stage.”

They couldn’t hide a smile from their face as Taehyung linked her arm into Jungkook’s and walked to the stage slowly. She knew Jungkook was right and he looked so happy yet excited right now. But she felt nervous because he would kiss her for real, not just a peck like he used to give.

“Congratulation, Jeon Jungkook.” The MC put the king crown to Jungkook’s head then he took a queen crown and put it on Taehyung’s head. “Congratulation, Kim Taehyung.”

Without taking much time, Jungkook put his hands gently on Taehyung’s waist and tilted his face so his face met Taehyung’s directly. Without hesitation, Taehyung wrapped her arms around Jungkook’s neck and smiled. Gently, Jungkook pressed his lips against her and kissing her gently, making her melted slow but sure.

“I love you, Kim Taehyung.”

“I love you too, Jeon Jungkook.”
