STEPMOTHER

I got my consciousness back when we got into the dungeons.

“Chen-ah…. Baekhyun-ah!!!” I kept screaming but their faces stayed impassive.  I could see familiar faces in each of the cells. Our old servants, royal family members everyone were here with tied hands and covered eyes.

They pushed me inside one of the latest empty cells.

“No!... Stop it…” I yelled and jerked the bars crazily. I had to stop because of the pain in my bruised back. Rage… I only felt rage…

I looked around and at least it was clear in here. There weren’t any prisoners in the Sky Palace for a long time.

One of the cells next to me was empty but in the other one I saw a dark haired boy leaning over something. He kept swinging his upper body back and front unstoppably.

I walked closer to have a better look. His hands were chained shortly to the floor so he wouldn’t be able to stand up. I could see big red rubies on each of the bracelets.

When I stopped in front of the bars I could finally see what was he squeezing to his chest all the time. There was another dark haired boy lying on the floor. His face was pale and lips had a dark red color. The same as the color of ruby in the collar he had on his neck.

They must have some powers precious to my brother….  

I made a sound with my shoe and the shorter boy glared at me.

~Bom…~ I heard someone’s voice and opened my eyes.

I glanced at Luhan sleeping peacefully right beside me with his hand on my waist. I looked around. It was still long before the dawn. I thought it was Luhan who were calling my name but if he’s sleeping right now… I must’ve been my imagination. I lied back and closed my eyes but…

~Bom…~ I heard a melodic voice again.

I gently took Luhan’s hand off my waist and followed that sweet voice without making any sounds. Ever since my transformation I felt so powerful and energized. My movements were smooth and confident.

Stepping outside on my tiptoes I looked right and left but there were no signs of anyone there. I closed the door behind me and went right. After taking around ten steps

~Bom…~

A white flame appeared at the end of the hall. It was hypnotizing and kept drawing my body closer.

I was so close I could touch the flame when it disappeared and another one appeared in a distance. I couldn’t take my eyes of them. I don’t know how… I don’t know when I got there but when the last flame vanished I snapped out of the trace and found myself deep in the misty forest around the Wind Palace.  

I looked at myself wearing only my skimpy sleeping attire.

Damn it… I looked around to find my footprints or anything but there was nothing. The trees around me were so bushy that it looked like walls.

Don’t panic… I said to myself but almost had a heart attack when those little, white creatures appeared.
