He was barely awake when the ambulance reached the hospital,
his ears recognized the flurry of panicked voices surrounding him,

He could feel that his tired body was being moved and the bright lights above his head made his already aching eyes squint.

He also could smell a faint scent of copper mingling with what he thought to be disinfectant.

He had a vague idea from where the source of the metallic scent was coming from,

Barely lifting his head to look down at his body, his idea was verified.

He was soaked with blood.

His blood….

But He wondered why he couldn’t feel any pain…

Maybe because his body was so used to pain anymore that it felt nothing to him now,

Then he was surprised that the lack of pain that he was feeling was not just in his body…

For actually felt…warm…

“Jaejoong…I love you…”

The soft voice that he knew and loved so much murmured beside him and the soft gentle smile that disappeared a year ago was slowly making its way back on his face.

He opened his eyes.

He wasn’t even aware that he had closed them,

He could still see the blinding light from above him, and now,

he could here various beeping sounds from the machines that was keeping him alive…

He doesn’t need to see your face to know that it was you were there with him…he knew, You were there…

*that’s why I feel so warm…*

“Jae…Go to sleep…I promise, when you wake up…I’ll still be with you…”

His angel said to him and he could only smile albeit tears were falling from his face but this time,

they weren’t from sadness…

He took one last glance around the white room that he was in, across from his bed he stared briefly at the object on the table, red numbers flashing in his eyes ,

he never thought that he would smile seeing the very thing he saw before his world halted.

Ironic that the same time which hunted him for the past year was now his safety …the twisted song he heard over and over again was now His comfort.

Then slowly…his eyes began to close by themselves…

...he didn’t try resisting it…

Amidst the panicked voices and the wild beeping of equipments around him…

Jaejoong felt at peace…He was finally going to place where he wanted to be…

He smiled…

Then there was nothing left but silence…

“Time of death… 10:23 pm”
