I remember this night we had, outside on the grass us two (We were)
Gazin' at stars who smiled as my eyes only turned towards you (I knew)
There was no one else I needed and my love's never felt this way
(I wasn't) Too sure if you would mind I was nervous but I had to say

 

I still remember that night like it was yesterday. It was the night I realized I had feelings for my best friend. We were busy star gazing because there would be a meteor shower that night.

“it’s such a beautiful night, isn’t it Kris?” she asked me

“yes, it is” I said and looked at her. The gentle breeze was blowing her beautiful long flowing hair. Her eyes sparkled as she looked up at the clear night sky.

As I looked at her, I felt something strange stir inside my heart. I felt butterflies in my stomach. Everything felt good. That was then I realized that I fell in love with my best friend.

“Kris?” she says and waves her hand in front of my face

“oh, sorry.”

“you’re spacing out. Is there a problem?”

“nothing. Everything’s good.” I smile

She suddenly looks up and squeals “it’s starting!”

We both look up and a meteor passes “make a wish!” she says and closes her eyes

I wish you would be mine. I wished

When I opened my eyes, she was looking at me

“is there something on my face?” I say

“no, nothing’s on your face.” She smiles and places her head on my shoulder “what did you wish for?”

“it’s a secret.”
