"Noona, wait!" Taehyung said as he ran after you, his best friend. You were walking by yourself to the little coffee shop you always go to after school. Usually, you go on your own, but Taehyung decided to tag along this time. He had something he wanted to talk to you about, and he had to do it today.

Today was Valentine's Day and he had waited for months to tell you how he really felt about you. What better day to do so than Valentine's Day, right? Right. He had to tell you today, or he would wait your birthday, and he didn't want to wait any longer than he already has.

You turned to face him, and he smiled at you. You returned the smile and he could've melted right then and there. Your smile was the most beautiful thing to him. He could see you smile everyday day and not get tired of it. "Sorry, Tae. I forgot you were coming with me today."

He chuckled. "It's okay," He said before he slung his arm around your shoulders. Your frame fit perfectly with his. Of course, he'd done this a million times, so it didn't seem to phase you. If only he could hold you like this as your boyfriend....that would be nice.

They fell into a comfortable silence until you said, "Why did you want to come with me? I thought you were going to hang out with Yoongi."

He froze for a second, thinking about what he was going to tell you. "Uh, Yoongi finally asked out Mia." He blurted out. Although that wasn't entirely untrue, it still wasn't the full truth. Taehyung did plan on going to Yoongi's house to play video games before he realized what today was.

Confused, you turned to him. "He did? She would've told me by now since she's so crazy about him." You shurgged. "Maybe she's still with him and that's why she hasn't called me yet." He mentally sighed in relief as they kept walking. He knew you probably didn't fully believe him, but he wasn't going to question it.

They were getting closer to the coffee shop, and Taehyung started to think about what he was going to say to you; if he did it there. He wanted it to be special for you, but he's not sure how. He thought about flowers and chocolates, but that's too typical; you wouldn't want that.

Taehyung has been in love with you since he first met you. You were smart, pretty, easy to talk to and he was always happy to just be around you. Whenever he was feeling sad or down, he'd talk to you and you would always cheer him up one way or another. Even the thought of you would make him feel better.

You reached the coffee shop, and Taehyung couldn't help but feel nervous. He didn't want to let his nerves get the better of him, so he started thinking about other things. Like, what he was going to get to drink, or if he was going to tell you there or not. He took his arm off of you when they got inside.

When you reached the register, the girl working there said, "Hello! Can I interest you two in our Valentine's Day special?"

You laughed and shook your head. "No, we're not a couple. I'll have a mocha latte though." The girl nodded and turned to Taehyung, "And for you?"

"A caramel macchiato, please." She took his order, and when it came to pay, he pulled out his wallet. There was no way he was going to let you pay.

You turned to him and smiled. "Thanks, I'll pay for it next time."

He smiled back at you, "No problem; you don't have to."

"We'll see about that. Let's find somewhere to sit." He nodded and followed you to the table by the window. He sat across from you, and watched you as you looked out the window. You looked happy, and that calmed his nerves slightly.

You looked at him, but he quickly faced the window. He didn't want you to catch him staring at you. He noticed all the other couples on the street holding hands, kissing each other, and just being happy together. He wanted that with you, and he was determined to have that today.

He turned his attention back to you, and looked her in her eyes. He took in a deep breath, and right when he was about to say something, their drinks were ready. "I'll go get them." He said quickly as he got up to get the drinks. He got them and walked back to their table.

"Thank you," You said smiling at him before taking a sip. He nodded before taking a sip of his own.

'Okay, time to try this again.' He thought to himself before he looked up at you. You took one look at him and began to giggle. Confusion washed over Taehyung when he asked, "What is it? Why are you laughing?"

"The foam from your drink gave you a mustache." You said before you started laughing again. He couldn't help but laugh with you as he wiped the foam off his face. As much as he would like this moment to be a drama, it is not. You weren't going to lean over the table and kiss the foam off him like he had hoped.

'Now I have to say something' He thought to himself once again. He froze, thinking about what to say to you. He never confessed to anyone like this before, so he had to make sure that he didn't screw this up for himself.

He cleared his throat and tried again...but this time you phone rang. He sighed; must this keep happening to him? He watched as you checked your phone. "Oh, it's Mia. Is it all right if I answer? She's probably calling me about Yoongi." He chuckled and nodded then you answered your phone.

'Maybe this is for the best; I really should think about this more.' He told himself in his head. There was so much he wanted to say to you, but he just wasn't sure how to word it. He knew that once he started talking, the words will come out of his mouth and he won't know how to stop himself.

He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't realize that you were already off the phone. "Taehyung?" You asked, waving a hand in his face and trying to talk to him.

"Oh, sorry, noona. Were you saying something?"

"Yeah, I asked if you were ready to go."

He looked down at his drink and saw that his cup was empty. Seems like he was ready. "Yeah, I guess I am." He chuckled as you both got up from their seats. He opened the door for you as you two left the coffee shop. "What should we do now?" He asked you as you were walking slightly aimlessly down the street.

You and him were going in the direction of your house, but he wanted to make sure there wasn't anything you wanted to do first. You shrugged. "I'm not sure really. We could go to my house and watch a movie or something. We haven't done that in a while." He gave you a big smile and agreed.

You began to talk about school and what you two had planned on doing once you graduated. You both agreed on staying friends when school ended, but he had other plans, of course. Your conversations were going well until you asked him, "Why don't you have a Valentine? I'm sure plenty of girls asked you about it in school today."

He froze, collecting his thoughts. Now, he really has to tell you. "Uh, noona...there's something I want to tell you." Nerves began to build up in his stomach, but he knew there was no turning back now.

You turned to him and stopped walking. "What is it, Tae?" You asked with a smile. You and him were always very honest with each other, so you were used to him telling you things.

He looked down at his feet and rubbed the back of his neck. He took in a deep breath before he grabbed your hand and looked in your eyes. "Noona, I...uh, I like you..a lot. And not in a friend or sister way, either. I like you in a way that a boy usually likes a girl. No, I don't like you, I love you. I've been in love with you for a while now, too. Every time I see you, my heart flutters and the butterflies in my stomach go crazy. You're easy to talk to and so much fun to be around; I'm so glad I met you. I love you, noona, I really do. Even if you don't lo-" he was cut off by soft lips pressing against his.

You pulled away from him and smiled. "I feel the same way about you, Tae...I was just too nervous to say anything." You admitted softly. His eyes widened and he felt his cheeks get warm. Did you really say that you loved him back? Did you actually kiss him?" Yes, yes you did and now Taehyung is trying to wrap his head around it.

Once he finally processed what happened, he gave you a big, toothy grin. "Does this mean you'll be my girlfriend now?"

You giggled. "Yes, Tae, it does." He couldn't contain his happiness, so he kissed your cheek. (He was too nervous to kiss your lips again.)

"Happy Valentine's Day, noona." He said sweetly. You smiled and returned the kiss.

Taehyung couldn't be happier than he was at this very moment. He finally got the girl he loved, and he never wanted to let you go.
