Prologue; Character Introduction Part I
↷ The Senior Project ✧ Dating for Dummiesa morning.
Fall. Just as the warm summer breeze starts to cool off, replacing what was once wet underarms and clothes sticking uncomfortably to your skin, with the perfect temperature, not too hot nor too cold. Of course, it’s also well-known for the scenery, where dried leaves and trees manage to fit effortlessly well as the new season approaches.
As if on cue, the sun starts rising, making its way up and slowly painting the sky in hues of red along its way. But of course, beneath the happy fluttering sounds of nature, you could almost hear the sounds of groaning coming from every students room. Fall, the dreaded beginning of a new school year.
Straightening her perfectly ironed tailored uniform for the upteempth time within the span of five minutes, she finally made her way outside the steps of her door, breathing in the scent of a fresh new morning, as if wishing her a well school day. But oh when have I ever had a bad school day, she thought proudly to herself, portraying a rather smug (she prefers calling it confidence) smile.
Ah, yes, another day for Moon Sarang to shine, making the other kids look like they have been sitting in a dusty shelf their whole lives.
“No!” She cried in horror as an audible squish was heard at the bottom of her brand new shoe. She almost sobbed when she saw the nasty pineapple flavored gum stuck onto her sole. And this, was a mark of a horrible school year.
A loud thud was heard from across the halls. And then another one, but much louder following with a few pained giggles. Apparently, falling into the tub and then magically hitting her skull against the shower head (that was at least a feet taller than her), is a normal routine for Min Saerom’s morning bath.
Dragging herself into her room with a rather explicit coverage, a ripped towel, it finally hit her that today is the first day of school. Right. Maybe if she told her mom that she graduated last year, she’ll get away. Oh Saerom, your wits never ceases to amaze me. Slipping into a huge grin, she ran downstairs in hopes she could find something to eat... Only to be met with a spatula across her (already bruised) forehead.
