It was a winter afternoon. I watched as the snow gracefully fell onto the pavements making it fluffly white. I sat on a cozy sofa, drinkinghot chocolate. This was my idea of fun. Going to a cafe, sitting near the big clear window in a snuggly and warm sofa while looking at the peaceful view of the streets outside.

In that cafe, everytime someone enters, a bell rings twice. And that bell has changed my life.

"DING DING" 

The bell catches my attention and I face towards the door to see the most beautiful girl  i have ever seen. I still remember what she wore, what she ordered and sweet scent that was sweet as her smile.

Im cheesy. Well.....................

After she ordered, she came towards me/

"Hi! have we met before?" She asked

"Oh hi! I see you on campus a lot". I replied giving a smile

"Dara" she said reaching her hand out to shake mine

"Luhan" I replied taking her hand.

She did the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. She smiled.

I offered her a seat and asked her if she would like to stay for a bit. She agreed and we had a conversation that lasted a few hours.

We talked about everything. School, friends, family, relationships.

"So do you have someone special? A guy perhaps?" I asked nervously. I tried not to sounding creepy so that I dont scare her off.

She chuckled "nope, never had one either" 

I was surprised at this new found information 

She's beautiful, smart and outgoing. I thought she would have been taken already...............

"Well your first boyfriend will be so lucky to have you"

"Thanks" she repied as a light shade of pink showed on her face

Cute! I thought to myself

A little awhile later our conversation gets cut off as her phone rings.

"I have to go. My parents want me home before dark and I still have a lot of work to catch up on" she says

"Ok. Would you like to meet up again? My treat." I asked

'Dont reject me.... PLEASE.... Dont reject me' I thought, nervous as I  waited her reply

"Of course! same time? Same place?" 

I felt relieved

"SAME TIME SAME PLACE" I replied

We exchanged phone numbers and said our goodbyes

I smile to myself as I watched her glide past busy people getting home from work until she disappeared from my sight.

THIS WAS THE BEST EVENING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED AND WITH THAT MY MEMORIES OF HER BEGAN

This continued for about 5 months and during these months my feelings for her grew. 

We didnt let a day pass without seeing each other. It was an everday routine. Until one day, I decided to ask her out. 

I anxiously waited for her in that cafe. In the spot where we first met. 

But when she entered through those cafe doors, I lost hope. I gave up. My heart sank. I felt defeated.

"Hey Luhan" she said 

"Hi" I said back trying my best not to sound sour 

"Oh by the way, This is Kris, my boy----" 

"Boyfriend" I said cutting her off

"Yeah" she replied with the happiest smile

I felt hurt as I congratulated them and giving them both my best smile.

He stayed with us, laughed and talked but not for so long.

"It was nice meeting you Luhan. Take care of my gilfriend ok? Im going to go to work" 

I told him not to worry and with that he left and chuckled

After awhile, we left the cafe and drove her home

We were on the highway. The city light passed us as we drive along. Dara looked out the window to watch the beautiful sunset. The sunset and Dara have similarities; both are pretty and colourful and relaxing.

We were in comfortable silence but Dara spoke up, breaking my chains of thought.

"are you ok? you seemed a bit off today" She said with worried eyes

"Im fine, just tired from staying up finishing all my work' I replied with a force smile

And with that we fell again into silence.

We rolled up in her drivewaybut before she could get off, I stopped her

"I have something to tell you"

"what is it?

I hesitated for a moment

"I just want to tell you that I---"

'OH GOSH STOP HESITATING AND SAY IT' I thought to myself

"I-I think that I-I should open the door for you" I stuttered

And with that I exit the car. I hear her giggled inside. WHY AM I SO STUPID?

I go around the car to open the door

"Take care" I said as I leaned over to give her a hug

"You too" she said with her sweet voice

We break apart and she runs towards her house. I drove my car not looking back at her as I felt foolish

I was literally screaming at myself for not confessing. And also thinking how stupid I was for having an idea about asking her out.

"5 months! we've only known each other for 5 months. Im too fast. She would probably have rejected me" 

And that's when I force my heart to go to another way. 

Or so that was I thought.

A lot of changed since Kris became Dara's significant other. Our daily routine has changed. She changed a lot because of him.

Before, we would meet each other at the cafe anyime. But now she doesnt have time because of her boyfriend

It pains to see them together. But seeing Dara happy with him, I couldnt do much.

This happened for many weeks until meeting each other was a distant memory

She never came anymore. And when she did, it was only caused her boyfriend asked her to buy them drinks while walking around the streets.

But Im still here
