Jessica’s POV

The photoshoot had to call it quits not until entire afternoon,

So here I am waiting soo jung to pick me up,

Since we’ll have a very late lunch.

I haven’t eat anything since this morning.

And this session really drained my energy.

To sum up, yeah I had pretty long tiring and hungrily day.

My phone vibrated,

But I don’t have any strength to get up from this comfie couch.

I slowly close my eyes as sleep drifting me away.

After an hour,

Soo jung shakes my body, trying to wake me up,

“unnie, mianhae, traffic really is a pain in the , have you eaten anything? Please wake up.”

Thankfully, she came with hand full of foods.

I regain my strength.

And checking my phone,

5 missed calls and a new voice mailbox.

“unnie, why are you smiling like a goof?,” soo jung startled me.

I can’t help but smile while listening to tae’s voice.

I didn’t realize how much I hear her voice,

How longing her pretty face is..

“nothing,” I answer soo jung’s question without showing much expression.

I tried to call tae but she didn’t pick up, after third time, I type her a message.

“hey you ;) I’m sorry, I fell asleep when I was waiting krystal to pick me up, what’s the matter? Call me when you can Xx, S.”

Yeah, those wink and kiss.

I don’t usually type like some needy girl.

But I can’t help it when it comes to her.

And send.

“unnie, seriously, recently you always look at your phone and smiling, sometimes you’re laughing by yourself, what is it?.”

Soo jung tries to take my phone,

But thank God she missed.

“I said nothing.”

“nothing wouldn’t make you smiling like a fool every day, what happened unnie? Why don’t you tell me?, we usually tell each other secret.”

And those puppy eyes,

She thinks she’ll win with jung’s puppy eyes to me.

She forgot who invented it.

“are you really using that puppy eyes to me now?, because I tell you what, it won’t work.”

and like a lightning, she grabs my arm and shaking it slowly.

“unnie, tell me.” She cried.

And I watch her unbelievingly.

“is it about a girl?.”

And I looked at somewhere else.

It’s a completely bliss to have mom, dad, and soo jung.

Mom and dad always trying to teach us since kid,

If we can love who we want.

It doesn’t matter if they were a girl or a boy.

It doesn’t matter if they were poor or rich.

It doesn’t matter if they were smart or dumb.

As long as we, girls, are happy.

I love how accepting my family is.

“what happened unnie?, please tell me, don’t you want to share your happiness with me too?.”

And I let out a sigh.

Taeyeon’s face suddenly pops up on my mind.

With Her face when she was trying to think, those cute wrinkles,

With Those pouty lips when she was trying to get something,

And with her eyes light up while she was singing on the stage..

“unnie, you need to stop smiling like that, you’re scaring me.”

I just laugh with my low voice.

“do you want to know what happened? Kim taeyeon happened.”

Her eyes grew wider.

She’s exactly know who I’m talking about.

“kim taeyeon? As in…?”

“that’s right.”

“wha…?how? I thought she didn’t talk to you anymore.”

Past memories flooded up.

It was devastating months of my life.

“well, she had her reasons.”

and she is eyeing me,

she studies my expression,

And her suspicious face suddenly brighten up,

“OH MY GOD, SHE WAS IN DENIAL!.”

And I manage to nod and smile.

“OH MY GOD, UNNIE! SHE LIKES YOU! AFTER ALL THESE LONG SILENCE TREATMENT, it turns out, SHE LIKES YOU?.”

And soo jung becomes hysterical as she’s wrapping her arm around me,

Hugging me tightly,

“ya! Soojung-ah! I can’t breathe!.”

“I don’t care unnie, I’m so happy for you.”

She’s squeezing my lungs with her tight hug.

“I want to strained her hair, tackling her and make her life suffer but yay! She requites your feelings!.”

And my body stiffened,

She notices it, so she released me,

“you didn’t tell her yet, did you?.”

I shake my head apologetically,

“I don’t want to rush anything.”

She nods.

“that’s right, unnie, but, you do like her, right?.”

“yeah, I guess sometimes time can’t heal anything.”

And there was a comfortable silence until my phone’s ringing.

When taeyeon’s name pop up on my screen,

Soojung squealing like a pig,

I shot her a pillow couch right away.

And that is a quietness that I need.

“hey.”

And her high tone is ringing through my brain.

It contains happiness and excitement.

soo jung paid attention as well,

even when I push her head away while she was trying to listen,

she keeps coming back and keeping up with me.

My heart never beating this fast before.

“like a date?,” I questioned.

And, again, soojung’s squealing into pillow.

I just trying madly to not let out a giggle,

After saying our good bye,

I couldn’t take my smile off.

“she’s asking you on a date! she finally grow a pair, huh?.”

And I slap her back head playfully,

“ya, jung soojung, you need to mind your own business.”

“your business is mine too, unnie. When is she gonna pick you up?.”

Soo jung keeps teasing me.

And I just keep ignoring her.

Taeyeon’s voice repeatedly playing in my head,

Taeyeon’s asking me on a date.

She really asking me on a date.

And It just hits me,

SHE REALLY ASKING ME ON A DATE.

And I squealed my dolphin sound with excitement.

“and it just hits you, doesn’t it, unnie?.”

And we’re squealing together after I tackled her into a hug.

Taeyeon’s POV

“why do you look so happy, tae?.”

Manager oppa, Cookie oppa asked.

I shakes my head, still with smile hanging on.

“why oppa?.”

“nothing, it seems you are happier today.”

I never talk about anything besides our schedule or basically works with cookie oppa.

“it’s a good thing, right, oppa?.”

He nods with a smile.

While he fasten his belt,

“tonight I’m going out with soo yeon, oppa.”

He takes a while to recognize what he was supposed to do after get his eyes on me,

As he turns the engine on,

“it’s about damn time, tae.”

His smiling voice remains calm.

“going out as in a date, oppa.”

“I know,” his voice remain steady.

I shot him a glance, disbelievingly.

“how?.”

“I just assume, whatever it will be, be careful tae, don’t let the flash catch you on.”

I know how scaring public’s eyes are.

“I know oppa, I won’t make a wrong move and let public saw us.”

“good, anyway, I really am happy for you.”

“thanks, oppa, now, can you teach me how to make a pick up lines?.”

And he shakes his head with laughing out loud.

“oppa, I’m serious.”

And his laugh died when he saw my death serious face.

It’s around 10 pm when I’m approaching soo yeon’s home.

After texting her 20 minutes ago if I was on my way,

I can’t get this nervousness down somehow.

I turn the engine off,

And brush nothing off of my Tosca blazer.

I put my hair up in pony tail.

I’m not putting too much make up, just a light ones.

At least I still look decent enough.

I manage to drag my feet out,

With a hand full of gardenia behind me,

Until a meter away from the front door.

But the door opened even before I buzz the bell,

And soo jung greets me with her straight face.

“she’s just finishing her make up.”

She said, still with her straight face.

“alright.”

And there’s an uncomfortable silence.

“are your parents home?.”

“no.”

She folded her hands.

And I gulped.

That cold tone.

We’re still standing one on one,

In their house’s porch.

“what’s your intention to my sister after what you’ve put her through?.”

Without raising her voice, I still can feel a loud thunder in her voice,

I need to stand on my feet no matter what,

I already come this far.

“soo jung, I’m trying to make up what I’ve done to her, I’m sorry for being an , I really am.”

“and you decided to ignore her and make her life miserable? she thought she did you wrong.

“she’s beating herself up, every night before she went to sleep, I could’ve come to you and have a deal with you, but I wasn’t, I love her enough to not meddling what’s in there, she already has her heart broken because of you, I don’t want to put salt on her wounds.”

I’ve broken my heart so many times because I have feelings for her,

But I didn’t realize if I broke hers too.

Tears sting in my eyes,

The least I can do is to not let this tear drops.

“why now?, it took me by surprise when you finally come to your senses.”

She still holds to my eyes, I answered it without missing a beat.

“I love her so much till the point where it hurts, it hurts to not spend a day without her, it hurts to look away and once I look back she’s already gone, I didn’t realize if she was hurt, I thought it was only me since I think I’m not one particular special person to her, to anyone, if I know she hurts too, I wouldn’t do it on the first place, soo jung-ah, if only I could turn back time, I would, I can’t let her suffer just because of me.”

Her voice and eyes are softened,

“you said you love her.”

Well...

“you don’t know what you mean to her, unnie.

“I didn’t know what she sees in you, she still looks up to you while you were giving her a cold shoulder, but I guess I do now.”

And she smiles.

I let out my breathe that I’ve been holding.

And her voice become steady and low again,

“but if you hurt her again, I will hunt you down and make your life suffer.”

“I won’t.”

I assuring her with my best smile.

“hi!.”

And soo yeon comes right in on time.

She looks. Wow.

Those white dress with no sleeves really rock on her body form.

“you look…wow.”

And she wears my gift. earrings.

“yeah unnie, you look wow.”

I can’t take my eyes on her.

She lets her long brown hair down,

My favorite.

And I remember about flowers that I’ve been holding,

“this is for you.”

And her eyes light up,

Her smile spreading bright,

She takes the flowers with her free hand,

The other was holding a pink coat and purse.

And she’s smelling it.

“why thank you, and soo jung, I’m gonna get going.”

“well it’s explained why tae’s unnie hand always on her back, I thought she have a hole on her back or something.”

Soo jung manages to giggle.

At least she’s laughing now.

 “don’t , be a good girl, don’t let any strangers in.”

Soo jung suddenly behave,

“nee unnie, have a good time.”

And she closed the door,

“you really look gorgeous tonight,” I said, still not taking my eyes off her.

“do you really want to spend whole night with complimenting me?.”

“I do and I will.”

And she’s laughing with her shy manners.

“shall we?.”

As I take her coat and purse,

And lift my another palm hand to take hers on mine,

She gives her hand shyly.

And I’m holding onto her hand with my dear life,

Until I’m opening the door,

And let her slips in.

“tae, you are beautiful too by the way,” she smiles.

After closing her door with a burning face,

I open the back door to put her coat and purse.

As I start the engine, she’s playing the radio.

“you’re still holding the flowers.”

I said while taking a glance on her seat.

“I loved it.”

She giggles.

“you are a bit taller than me today.”

I shot her my death glare,

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“you wore heels, I thought you hate them when you’re not performing.”

She said.

“I’m performing what I feel for you tonight.”

She shots me with her disbelievingly face.

But she is blushing.

 “who taught you those?.”

I cleared my throat,

“well, it was me.”

“and?”

And now she’s staring on me with her fiery eyes,

 “and cookie oppa gave me a short lesson today.”

“I knew it!.”

She claps her hand and she has her winning smile on her face.

I’m smiling as response.

It’s just like a reflect now,

Whatever she does.

“does he know what we’re doing?.”

“he did.”

She seems to giving a thought about cookie oppa,

“does he say anything?.”

“just be careful with public, and to enjoy the night.” I said with smile.

After a half hour, soo yeon starts to look around,

“where are we going?.”

“we’ll see.”

And after another 15 minutes, I drive to parking lot.

I unbuckled my seat belt and take a fresh night air of sea.

Soo yeon still seems dazing out while I opened her door,

And handing her coat and purse.

“There is a small restaurant in the shore sea.”

She said once she’s out,

while still looking around.

It’s 11 pm,

There are not too many people here.

So I wrap my left arm around her shoulder,

And guide her inside restaurant.

“they have the best pasta.”

I said when we finally sit on our seat, she takes off her coat,

And soo yeon suddenly shots me with her hungry looks.

After we ordered,

We are starting to talk about our comeback,

With a night sky on top of us.

We’re sitting at outside,

Soo yeon insist to enjoy the wave sound and night air,

Plus it’s not cold.

Fortunately, It wasn’t raining all day.

“why did you choose this place?.”

Music is playing on the background,

“I know how you love the fresh air, especially on the sea, and it’s less of people here.”

And she’s looking around.

“restaurant staffs recognize us but at least they give us privacy.”

And I nod.

As we waiting on the food,

“did soo jung said anything to you? You seem tense up while talking to her.”

“we have a little chat, but it’s a nice one though, don’t worry about it.”

“of course I’m worried, she is my sister, I know how she works up, she didn’t make you upset, did she?”

Her voice sounds sorry.

I take my hand to reach hers.

And caressing her back hand smoothly.

“she didn’t, don’t worry about it.”

I reassuring her with smile.

Even now soo jung’s voice still floating up in my mind.

And food has arrived,

“let’s dig in.”

We are happily eating and chatting.

She makes fun of me because I keep missing my spaghetti,

“I don’t like forks.”

“you are the one who choose this place, at least you should bring your own chopsticks since it’s Italian restaurant.”

And I puffed my cheeks.

She giggles.

“you are adorable, no wonder so many people fell with your charm.”

I look at her with my shocking gaze,

“do you find this charming?.”

As I make a round line in front of my face with my index finger,

And she nods,

She makes a round line too in front of my face,

“this is charming.”

And she giggles.

I feel my cheeks burning again.

She always has her way to sets me on fire.

After we finished our food,

we’re just staring and sharing our shyness.

“I miss you.” I said.

And she beams with her softened eyes,

“I miss you too.”

How could I break her heart? She is such a nice and decent lady.

And soo jung words playing again in my head.

How could I do that to this girl…

“I hate to missed your voice, I hate to missed your smile, I hate to missed every second not being with you, and I totally hate myself to missed if I was breaking your heart because my actions, I’m a horrible person.”

“no, no, don’t say that, you’re not horrible person.”

“I am, exactly am, I don’t know if I’m hurting you that bad, I thought I didn’t take that much space in your life.”

She takes my hand on hers.

“stop saying that, I know, I understand, it’s because you didn’t know what I feel, so just forget the past and move on, we have now and tomorrow.”

I nod,

“that’s right, I didn’t know what you feel, I didn’t even try to find out, that’s make me a horrible person 2.0”

She shakes her head. Disbelievingly.

“so what makes you give me a chance, soo yeon-ah? If it’s already out on table if I’m terrible person. I didn’t deserve second chance actually.”

“why do you always keep beating yourself up?.”

“because you do too!.”

Without realizing, I raise my voice with desperation.

“so, soo jung said something to you.”

She said that nonchalantly.

I stunt on my seat.

Bitting my lips.

“I have feelings for you too since a long time ago, tae yeon-ah, I give you a second chance because I still have feelings for you, when we were not talking, I try to get over you as well, but it didn’t work either, I keep missing you every day, because I really like you, tae yeon-ah, so, it wasn’t only your chance, it’s mine too, you’re giving me a chance to know where is this going.”

Brace myself for the truth.

“you….you like me too?, why?,”

“are you really that blind, tae?, you already denied your feeling, do you need to deny mine?.”

“just tell me, please.” I pleaded. I’m on the verge to cry.

“fine. because you are the most shining star of all people, you make me want to be a better person, because you are the one who helps this girl to pass her trainee days, all I did was crying in front of camera, but you help me to get through that, every practice, you took care of me, so tell me now why wouldn’t I fell for you?.”

Her steady voice and unwavering words,

If there wasn’t a table between us, maybe I already kissed her.

And she reaches her purse,

She takes out a small red box.

It’s a music box.

With our debut song as melody,

She sang through the notes,

Without leaving the floor.

And I know what I have to do.

I stand up from my seat as well, and

I come closer one step back of her,

Her longing gaze stills amaze with an entire sea,

I’m standing right back at her,

Not even a meter away.

Picturing her perfect S line.

I like it when she has her pony tails on,

But doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy her long and loose hair in front of me.

The night wind brings us shiver,

She starts to hugging herself.

I have this urge,

to wrapped my arms around her tiny waist,

Kissing her hair.

Making her warm.

if I’m going to do it, isn’t it going too fast?

Are we finally on the same page now?

I’m waiting for this since a long time ago,

I want her so badly.

But baby step won’t do me any favor right now,

Without taking another hesitation,

Distance between us finally gone,

Our drive to her home is quiet,

“maybe we can start with something official between us,” I manage to not stuttered.

“alright, girlfriend, thank you for dinner, you don’t have to pay everything, you know.” She said.

“I do have too, a gentleman does that.”

She chuckled

“you are adorable.”

When she ready to went in, she put her purse and flower down on cabinet,

And she came back to me again,

Hugging my neck, bringing our head closer, and slowly bruising our lips.

With closing my eyes, I feel like…this is a new year eve.

Firework is fighting to be recognized.

Butterflies fly around my tummy.

Her lips move gently,

I slightly open my mouth,

And she takes that as approval to play with my tounge.

She stops when we’re starting to breath heavily.

Our forehead is touching as we’re trying to catch a breathe,

“I have a great night.”

She smiles while opening her eyes and staring into mine.

“I have a greatest night too.”

“text me when you get home, will you?.” She’s walking back.

Not wanting to break our eye contact.

 “I will, see you tomorrow?.”

She nods.

And she closed her door.

Let’s worry about future tomorrow.

I just want to laying on my bed

and keep reminding how soft her lips is

and how I want to taste it again and again.
