Part One: FLOWERS
Leave My Heart BehindPART ONE - FLOWERS
The wide gates that are forever open look somewhat welcoming. My whole body agrees that I’d be less reluctant to walk in, if everything inside wasn’t striking black whilst the countless flowers were so cared for.
After all, yellow roses aren’t the prettiest flowers.
Yet, within the shaking grasp of my numb hands, they seem to shine over everything. The fact that I had an eternal shower and sprayed your favourite scent of colon earlier becomes irrelevant – as it would to anyone – as I stare down the long cement walk way that leads me to where you are. That feeling of cold sweat came back again, as it does each time I recall what happened.
However I know very well that blankly standing won’t get me anywhere closer, so I step off the normal pedestrian path and onto the cement.
I’ve come to see you again.
