Chapter 18
The boy who taught me how to feelThe next 2 weeks passed by like a breeze.
Park Yong disappeared after the ‘confession’ and didn’t turn up for any of our tuitions during study week.
Chan Yeol also ‘joined’ our tuition. He was present previously but was always reading comic books, looking at cats passing by the café or dozing off. (Somehow after 1 and a half years in high school, he finally decided he wants to get better grades for mid-terms.)
So Eun was still struggling with her studies. I still worry for her grades.
“Ah Mi ah,” Chan Yeol called before I push open the gates.
He has been sending me home after tuitions ever since he found out I live alone.
“Uh huh?”
“Err… I.. that is… after our exams we have a free weekend…. Do you want to… go out on Saturday?” He said as he scratched his head.
“YEAh…… I guess I can make just one day free for you,” I tried to play it cool to console my poor soul after that semi-rejection.
“ASSAH!!! I’ll come pick you up on Saturday!” He said, his smile gleaming.
It’s the first time I can’t wait for examinations to end. Because it's the first time I have something to look forward to after it does.
In the midst of our examinations week, I also received a call from my piano teacher who invited me to perform at a music festival.
“I would love to. But is it ok if I do something, um…. special this time?” I replied.
