Consistency, False Updates and Angst
Ranting & RavingConsistency . . . yet again
Someone recommended a fic to me and I stopped shortly after starting it because I had no ing clue who the writer was talking about. I'm still relatively new to BTS, but I do like them. She ed me up by swapping back and forth between their real names and stage names for no rhyme or reason.
Pick a name and stick with it!
If he's Taehyung, call the boy Taehyung through the whole story. Don't suddenly start dropping in V's. And if he's going to be Suga, keep him as Suga. It's confusing to then see Yoongi and try to remember who the that is.
False Updates . . . .
. . . . .Are of the devil and should only be used in case of emergency. For example, if your computer dies and takes all of your work with it(Use Google Docs. I say this from personal experience.) Or if there is some change to your life and schedule and you know you won't be able to write for a while. That's good to let your readers know.
Do not, do not, DO NOT! keep 'updating' to let me know about the new stories you have on the back burner. If the story is marked complete, you should only 'update' to announce a sequel or epilogue. Use your blog or an author note for the other stuff. Don't get your readers hopes up. That's when I unsubscribe.
Angst
