Damn, you hated being friend zoned. But it was one of the reasons that you and Yi Fan were best friends. Yes, you were best friends with Kris of EXO. Yay. , yay. You groaned at the thought of being ‘friends’ with one of the EXO members, it was not as excited as it would be. You didn’t get why those girls were fangirling over some normal dudes, yeah, they’re handsome, cute and talented but still, they’re just your normal every-day people.

          You looked back at Yi Fan who was busy getting something inside his backpack. You had just broken up with your ex-boyfriend and the first person you could think of was Yi Fan. He had just got back from his on-going tour last night, when he had found out that you broken up, and he wasted no time calling you in the middle of the night. Asking if you were okay and told you to come over at Han River.

          And you did, because it was much better spending time with Yi Fan instead of crying over someone you didn’t even love. You dated a guy just so you could get over your huge crush on Yi Fan but obviously, it didn’t work at all. You sighed as you lean against the rail.

“________-ah, I came here to see your smile not your ugly frown or tears.” Yi Fan grumbled as he threw an arm over your shoulder.

“Aish…Yi Fan, you know I don’t like being touched. And I can smile or cry whenever I want.” You muttered as you push Yi Fan’s arm away from your shoulder.

          Kris looked at you, blankly. And you stare back at him as your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. You had to admit, Yi Fan looked very good in his grey sweater over his white t-shirt as he hugged on Ace, his stuffed animal. You were having a bad mood and Yi Fan here is making it worse. You didn’t know why but you had suddenly had this urge to just smack him across the face.

          Was he too blind to not see your huge crush on him? Everybody knew involving his EXO members, even Tao who was the most clueless person you had ever known, knew that you have a crush on his Duizhang. But Kris, never even saw you more than a friend, and you knew it.

          Yi Fan gave you a lopsided smile before hugging you, taking you by surprise,

“Yah! What are yo-” You exclaimed but Yi Fan shut you up

“You have no idea how happy I am that you broke up with that . Sorry, I had to say that.” Kris said, wrapping his arms around your waist.

          Ace was in between you and Yi Fan’s body as he hugged you. You could feel your heart flutters as his words went through your head. As you were about to wrap your arms around his neck, he pulled away too quickly.

“Sorry, I just wanted to hug you. It felt like it was the right time to do that.” Yi Fan smiled as he hugged Ace.

          You could feel a blush creeping up your pale cheeks. Yi Fan’s smile turn to a more mischievous grin,

“You’re blushing!!! This is the first time I’ve seen you blush!!” Yi Fan teased as he starts to poke your cheeks.

“No! I am not!” You said as you hit his chest and then, as he was about to defend himself from your hits, his arms flew out and you accidently hit Ace right out of his arms.

“Oh .” You cursed under your breath as you and Yi Fan watch Ace fall into the calm river.

          The sound came from where Ace had fallen. You stare at the river and then Yi Fan glared at you,

“I am so so sorry, Yi Fan. I had never meant to do that!” You apologized as you turn to look at him.

          You regretted the moment that your eyes met his eyes. He was far beyond angry with you. Yi Fan was a very scary person when he was angry. It was like he had two different personalities. And his dark side terrified you more.

          You wasted no time jumping over the rails and the smell of the water struck your nose almost instantly. The water smelled like mud laced with sewage. You kicked off your shoes, tugged off your socks, slipped off your sweater, and stood freezing under the cold wind in the middle of the night.

          Before you jumped into the river, you could hear Yi Fan’s faint voice calling your name. But it was far too late as your body broke the surface of the river, which was cold as you’d expected it would be. Within a few feet, the river became darker and you could see Ace white stuffed animal just a few inches away from your fingers as you reached for it.

          About the point that you’d expected, your lungs began to strain. But you weren’t ready to go up yet. You had just come so close to grab Ace but then a wave had come and flowed Ace away from your fingers. You gritted through your teeth as you watch Ace being dragged away from you. The water was starting to burn your eyes. You went after Ace and as your eyes caught a glance of the stuffed animal white fur, you felt your hand being pulled backwards.

          You turned to look who it was and it was Yi Fan looking at you with wide eyes and an angry face. He pointed upwards but you just shook your head and pointed towards Ace who was just a couple feet away from you. You shook Yi Fan’s warm hand off you and swam towards Ace but your lungs blazed.

          Air. That was what you needed but Ace was just so close to you but suddenly you felt a pair of warm arms pulling you backwards and took you in Yi Fan’s arms. He pressed his lips against yours, kissing you deeply, and it felt so damn good, but-

          But no, he wasn’t just kissing you. He was breathing air into your lungs. You gasped in his kisses, felt the pure air flow into you, sustaining your lungs just when they felt like they were gonna burn. It was as if he had an endless supply of air and you were greedy for as much as you could get. Your hands searched for his neck as his warm arms wrap around your waist, as filled with passion as if you and Yi Fan were kissing purely for pleasure. You didn’t want to stop. But then, he pulled away.

          You immediately went after Ace. Your fingers grasped around the little stuffed animal arms as you swam up towards the surface. When you had finally met with air, you gasped and panted as you could feel Yi Fan’s familiar arms lifting you up towards the banks of the river.

“Have you gone insane?!” Yi Fan screamed as he frustratedly pulled his hair. “You could’ve died!”

“But I didn’t. You saved me.” You muttered as you held Ace behind your back.

          You heard Yi Fan sighed as he walked away. He kissed you. In the water. Which gave you butterflies in your stomach as you thought about it.

“Yi Fan..” You called as you slowly went after him,

He just stood there, not turning around to look at you.

“I’m sorry but I just didn’t want you to get mad at me for what I did and I..I…just wanted to get this back for you..” You said as you held out Ace to Yi Fan as he turned around.

“Why?” Yi Fan spoke in a low voice.

“I know that you love Ace more than anything and I don’t want to ruin our friendship just because I accidentally knocked Ace into the river.” You muttered as you bowed your head.

“Yah! Neo Pabo!! Stop saying that we’re friends, because we’re not! And I do not love Ace more than I love you!” Yi Fan yelled as he took a step closer to you,

“Ha?” You said as he sighed.

          Before he could say anything, his lips collided with yours and the most beautiful feeling erupted from your stomach. His hands were place on both sides of your cheek as his tongue grazed your bottom lip. You gasped slightly at the gesture and he slips his tongue through your lips. A moan escaped your lips as he took every second he could to explore your mouth. You wrap your arms around his waist,

          There you were, kissing your crush by the Han River, soaking wet as you grasped his stuffed animal. Yi Fan loves you. He even loves you more than he loves Ace. He pulled away, as you panted but before you could fully took some fresh air, he kissed you once more, ling on your bottom lip and this time you could hear a low moan coming from his throat. You pulled away, wanting to stop this kissing before it heats up.

“You love me…” You whispered as he tilted your chin up,

“I love you and you love me too.” He said as he brushed his nose against yours.

“How would you know?” You asked as you pulled his neck down to you as you kiss him again, Gosh his lips were addictive.

“Tao told me. And the others, too.” Yi Fan smiled as he bent down to capture your lips in his.

          You kissed him back as he wraps his arms around your body. Your friend zone days were over and your days as Kris’ girlfriend had just began. Finally, getting someone you love was amazing. And you were sure that you would never let him go. Never.
