Dear Diary,

OH MY GOD. I SPENT A WHOLE EVENING WITH HIM. We worked on the project, but still… I HAVE SPENT A WHOLE EVENING WITH HIM! AND HE WALKED ME HOME!!! OH MY GOD!

Ok, now I'll explain my spazz. (No, "he" isn't Choi Min Ho)

Earlier this week, our history teacher gave us this big project on the 20th century wars. He (teacher) paired us up following a logic I still don't get. You know, teachers always have logic behind their doings and the history teacher is one hard to follow. Anyway. That’s not the point.

So. When the teacher was calling the names, I tried to understand how he organized the teams (even though they seemed to have no organization at all) and guess with which fellow student I would end up with. In the end, I just hoped to be in the same team as Tae Min (my best friend). But when the teacher said "Lee Tae Min and Choi Seung Hee", I was definitely REALLY, AWFULLY sad. We always did an awesome job together, Tae Min and I, so WHY did the teacher divide our SUPER team? *mental sobs*

But then. I looked around the classroom, eyeing the people still not in a team and my eyes landed on Kim Jong Hyun.

Time for another parenthesis.

Kim Jong Hyun is in the same team as Choi Min Ho, Kim Jong Hyun is one of Choi Min Ho's close friends, Kim Jong Hyun is completely different than Choi Min Ho. Choi is tall, Kim is short (almost shorter than me!). Choi is a player (even though he has a girlfriend), Kim doesn't even flirt (or at least, I didn't see him flirt at school as much as Choi). I hate Choi and… I must admit, I have a long time crush on Kim.

I'll end the parenthesis here.

So, my eyes landed on Kim Jong Hyun and I thought "it's impossible, I can't be with him, but GOD how I want to!". A few names later, I finally heard my name.

" Cho Ga In and Kim Jong Hyun "

And my heart stopped beating. THANK YOU DEAR GOD, DEAR BUDDHA, DEAR JESUS, DEAR WHOEVER CAN MAKE WHISHES COME TRUE! Jong Hyun turned his head to me and flashed me a smile, one of those smiles that make you melt inside. I kept a straight face and smiled back while in my head I was all "OH MY GOD HE JUST SMILED TO ME! ME!!! THANK YOU WEIRD TEACHER!!" and jumping up and down mentally. Well you get the picture.

The bell finally rang and Tae Min went straight to me.

"Ga In-ah! I forgot my lunch box" he said to me with a pout. He OFTEN forgot his lunch box so it wasn't a surprise. With the time, I had gotten from my mom that she would pack me a bigger lunch because I was a growing girl and I had to eat (that's the reason I gave).

"No problem, Tae Min-ah, mine is full of good stuff." I gave him a smile and, just like that, he stole my box and ran to the courtyard. He probably also forgot to eat breakfast that morning. I followed him at a slower pace and joined him under our favourite tree. He had already dug in the box, hungry as he was, and I just shrugged. Poor baby needed his food, so whatever the manners.

We talked and laughed a lot, as usual, when Tae Min looked in the distance behind me.

"What is it?" I asked without looking (it probably wasn't really important, just a bird or something catching his attention) before taking a mouthful of rice.

"Your partner is heading this way" he answered reporting  his attention to his food.

I almost choked on my rice when I saw him sit beside me. I gulped it all down and drank half a bottle of water.

"Are you alright?" Jong Hyun asked me. I felt my cheeks turn a light pink as I shook my head.

"I'm fine, thanks." From light pink, my cheeks took a darker shade of pink.

In front of me, Tae Min kept on eating, his eyes never looking up from the box. It was like… a bit awkward.

"I came to talk to you about the project" finally said Jong Hyun. "I thought we should exchange our cellphone numbers so we can keep in touch."

My mind: OH LORD, I THINK I WILL GO PRAY EVERYDAY TO THANK YOU FOR THIS!

My mouth, ever so calmly: "Oh, that's a good idea! Here." I held out my cellphone and took his to add my name and number. He did the same and the cellphones were back in their owner's hands.

"I'll text you when I'll know my work schedule" he told me with a grin before getting up.

"Perfect! See you!" He then left us to our lunch.

Spazz explained.

As I said yesterday, he kept his word and texted me. He wrote :

If you're free tonight, we could start working on that damned project

In fact, there were a lot of mistakes in his text but I fear I won't be able to read it in a few years if I transcript the original here.

I actually jumped around in my room for a few minutes, fangirling mentally. Then I thought I should get going so I took my bag, keys and phone and left the house. It hit me then: I didn't know where he lived! So I asked him by text. He answered:

I thought we could go to a Café or something like that :)

So we agreed on a Café near the school and met there. We worked on the project (deciding which war we were to use, what we would do about it, etc.) and drank coffee. We talked a bit about school life and other things. Then, it was late and he walked me home, like a real gentleman.  Since it was cold, I shivered a bit wearing only a T-shirt. He noticed it and put his jacket on my shoulders.

"I'll be fine" I said as I gave him the jacket back. With a smile, he put it again on me.

"You wear it. The dinosaur is never cold and thus doesn't need the jacket" he replied still smiling.

Ok. Now what was that about!? Dinosaur? Aren't they an extinct species since thousands of billion years ago? He must have talked about himself, then.  But why dinosaur ?? Guess this is an unsolvable mystery. I think I'll just forget about it and live on though it changes the way I see him. I used to see him as a cool guy with really good looks and perfectly sane. I guess I'll have to change the "sane" part of his description.

We finally arrived near my house. I gave him back his jacket (this time he kept it, yay). 

"So… See you tomorrow in school?"

"Of course, lady" he replied with a wink. "Have a good night!" He added before turning around to leave.

I entered the house silently since it was really late and everyone was supposed to sleep. However, someone assaulted me in the entrance before I could even take off my shoes.

"Dongsaeng ah! Did I just see you with a boy? Like… were you on a date? Is he your boyfriend? Yah! Why didn't you tell unni you had a boyfriend, huh? You're supposed to tell EVERYTHING to me!"

Yes, it was unni. And god how was she LOUD at 11pm! Didn't she know that mom and dad worked early in the morning? That means they need to SLEEP. But if you're shouting in the entrance, then there is a high possibility that you'll WAKE them up, which is not good. But of course, you don't really care and just keep shouting at me as if we were alone in this world. God.

"First, keep your voice down. Second, I'm going to sleep. Good night unni!" I went upstairs to my room and began undressing when she entered my room. I sighed. She's annoying.

"I asked you some questions, now I'd like answers. And watch how you speak to me!"

"Unni, I would appreciate it if you would kindly leave my room when I'm changing." I was hiding behind my t-shirt all the while.

"I don't mind seeing you ; we've taken so much baths together…"

"I mind so get out!"

She rolled her eyes and left my room - FINALLY. I put on my pyjamas, turned off the lights and went to sleep. I was off to Dreamland almost instantly and did not notice if unni came back or not.

Before breakfast, this morning, I thought about what unni said last night about me going on a date. I didn't realise on the moment, but it really did look like a date... Woah... Cho Ga In on a date with Kim Jong Hyun...[dugun dugun says my heart].

I went down for breakfast and who did I see, waiting for me like an inspector ? Yes. Unni.

"Good morning unni! Is breakfast ready?" I played the naive card even though I knew I couldn't escape her questions for too long. You know, my sister is TOO NOSY for her own good (and my privacy) AND she tends to have a hard time keeping secrets secret thus I never told her if I liked someone. Oh wrong. I did tell her one time (the first time I had a crush) and I still regret it. At that time, we were in the same school and EVERYONE (including the boy) knew I liked him and that I was about to confess. I got rejected and laughed at the day after telling unni. She was the only one to know. That is why I am not saying all this (about Jong Hyun) to unni since she's going out with his best friend.

"Yes Ga In-ah! Come and eat, it's delicious!" shouted oppa from the dining room.

"Answer my questions first, you'll eat after." Wah, she is too evil in the morning ;__;.

"Don't listen to her and come." Thank you oppa~! "She'll answer while eating, right lovely dongsaeng?" Damn. And I was kind of forced to say yes.

Unni rolled her eyes and we joined oppa for breakfast.

"So? What are those questions you're dying to ask dongsaeng-ah?" Asked oppa as we took seat. I don't know if he really cared about the interrogatory or not for he continued to eat his breakfast without looking at us.

" First. Who was that boy? " And here we go.

" He is a classmate. Your boyfriend's best friend. " I took in a mouthful of scrambled eggs.

" Kim Jong Hyun? You're dating Kim Jong Hyun? " Unni dropped her fork in disbelief, I rolled my eyes.

" I am NOT dating him, I'm working on a project with him. "

" Well it looked like a date to me, yesterday." She turned to Min Hyuk oppa and asked " Oppa, you wouldn't put your jacket on a girl's shoulder if it wasn't a date, right? "

He just shrugged and continued his breakfast. He suddenly stopped in track and looked me right in the eyes.

" You went out with a guy yesterday evening, you 'worked on a project' with him, he walked you home and put his jacket on you, you came home at 11pm... Dongsaeng, that is a date disguised as teamwork. Now, tell the twins. Do you like him? "

Ahw god. And I thought I could keep a low profile on this. But when oppa stares at me like that, I can't lie to him, it's just impossible. I tried anyway, maybe I could make them believe my lie...

" Tch! Oppa, didn't I tell you I only liked people taller than me? How can I fall for a guy my height? "

" Jeongmal? " He doesn't believe me. It's kind of normal since I'm a bad liar.

" Neh oppa. "

And here we are... I had to write all this before going to school in case I forgot to open my diary (I'm still not used to do this). I wonder how it will be with JongHyun at school... I guess he is going to act normal since we really just worked on our school project. Aish! Why did oppa have to affirm it was a date, huh? Just thinking about yesterday now makes me blush! This is stupid! Yes, I have a crush on him but it doesn't mean I have to act all shy and stupid around him because then he would try to avoid me. I don't want to annoy him, I just want to be (at least!) his friend! But because oppa said that, I won't be able to act as normal as I normally can AND THAT IS NOT NICE.

Argh. Oh shoot, I'm going to be late for school! WRITE TO YOU LATER!!!
