It's a Deal
Summer Night's DreamMin Ho lazily lounged in his seat with one hand holding his script trying to concentrate on memorizing his lines. He would occasionally raise his head from the script and peer across the field to catch Shin Hye’s silhouette, hoping to grab her attention. She had been running around all day talking to the production crew to the standing actors explaining to them her vision of how the scenes needed to be filmed that she had completely ignored his presence.
When the stars aligned and gave him an opportunity for her to notice him, she would instantly turn away breaking any connection he was desperately trying to rebuild with her. He let out a deep audible sigh and raked his hand through his hair frustrated at how good she was with keeping her walls up and putting him at arm’s length.
The silent war between them has been going on for the past four months, ever since the filming for the movie began. At first her excuse for keeping him at bay was so she can get into her character Kim In Na, a North Korean spy masked as a tourist visiting the DMZ border. The script called for her and the South Korean solider Choi Min Juk, played by Min Ho, to be distant towards each other.
Choi Min Juk is a solider who is deeply loyal to his country and keeps his people safe from the bordering communist country. One day during his normal daily patrol of the DMZ tourist area, a tour bus carrying Kim In Na and a group of Chinese tourists broke down in an unauthorized military area. His general dispatched him and a few other soldiers to investigate the issue and help the tourists hike up the bottom of the mountain where their bus was stranded to the DMZ tourist zone.
Choi Min Juk was the first to arrive at the scene and asked the tourists in his broken Mandarin if they were ok. Everyone nodded their heads, they were safe but just wanted to get out of the scorching hot bus since the air conditioner was broken due to the engine being completely toasted and the outside temperature rising more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit. He guided each of them out of the oven hot bus and led them to a shaded area along the side of the road to cool down before the rest of his battalion arrived. As he was counting each of the tourists to make sure they all made it off the bus, his attention was drawn by the calm Kim In Na offering an elderly woman her bottle of ice water and gently caressing her back whispering into her ear that everything will be ok and help is on the way.
When the rest of his battalion arrived, the general gave orders to have them the tourists on a steep 30 minute hike up to the safe zone on top of the mountain. The soldiers were whispering amongst themselves on how beautiful Kim In Na looked and started taking bets on who could get her number first. The tourists began to slowly hike up the mountain with the battalion walking alongside them ensuring their safety.
Kim In Na sensed that Choi Min Juk was drawn to her and was intently monitoring her every move, she decided he was going to be her target to help her complete her mission. As the hill became steeper, In Na slowed down her pace stealing glances at him to see if he would follow suit to stay close to her. After climbing for another few minutes, she realized that it was just her and two soldiers, one of them being Choi Min Juk.
She decided that the timing was better than never and initiated her plan of attack. Her hands gripped onto the sides of her light jacket, her feet
