Sehun’s POV

Right after I met Jongin in the hallway, I went to my teacher and asked permission to go home earlier than the rest. The teacher was reluctant enough to allow me.

I passed by the infirmary and saw Jongin and Jessica closely watching over their precious friend. I know they won’t allow me to go near her, not even look at her. So, I just left and went home immediately.

I entered the house and saw Luhan hyung sitting silently, thinking deep.

I planned to just silently go to my room

“Sehun, sit down. Let’s talk” Hyung suddenly called and I obliged.

Third person’s POV

“What?” Sehun

“Did you apologize to Taengoo already?” Luhan asked. Sehun started to get pissed when Luhan called Taeyeon as Taengoo

“no”

“why?”

Sehun did not answer

“do you like her?”

“why’d you ask?”

“because I thought you should at least be honest with your feelings. You’re hurting her with your dishonesty”

“what do you know, hyung? You should just mind your own business”

“that... that’s your problem Sehun. You’ve got too much pride, you’re too narrow minded and above all you just fear too much”

Sehun just rolled his eyes

“continue doing that and she will really taken away from you”

“by whom? You?”

“well, we don’t know. Someone who deserves her better. Could be me. Think things over brother. I might make my move you know” Luhan said while patting Sehun’s shoulder and made his way out to the door. Soon after Luhan closed the door Sehun punched the wall to release some of his anger

Taeyeon’s POV

I slowly opened my eyes and noticed I was already at home.

“How are you feeling Taengoo?” my mom asked me with a warm smile

“better mom” I answered

“do you want to eat something?”. I just shook my head to mom’s question

“how did I get home mom? Did hyung pick me up?” I asked

“oh, there was an emergency at the hospital where your brother was studying so he asked the next the door neighbor who seems to be your friend to pick you up” mom answered

*A/N: i forgot to mention in the foreword than KHJ was a medical student... Mianhe :D

“neighor? Sehun?” I asked hoping it was him. But my mom shook her head

“It was me Taengoo” Luhan suddenly butted in. He smiled at mom who was making her way out of my room leaving me and Luhan oppa alone

“oppa… annyeong… sorry for the discomfort” I greeted

“it’s nothing Taengoo, I caused this in the first place. Mianhe” he said as he sat on the chair beside my bed where mom was sitting a little while ago

“ani, oppa. It’s mine, I haven’t been taking care of myself properly”  I reasoned.  Luhan oppa gave me a warm smile.

He stayed with me for an hour or two. We just talked about some topics. He shared some stories of his adventures as a Casanova and a prankster in China, which made me laugh. Luhan oppa is such a warm person.

Jongin came home early and stayed with us. I really wanted to ask him a question but I can’t, after witnessing me cry that hard I know my younger brother would really be overprotective of me. I remembered one incident in the past before when he guarded me almost 24/7. He was even told to have a sister complex that time.

“Taengoo, it’s getting late. you should get some more rest now, ok?” Luhan said.I just nodded and closed my eyes. I heard footsteps that were leaving the room and then I felt that someone held my hand. I opened my eyes to see who it was, it was Luhan oppa. He warmly smiled at me and kissed my forehead. Once more, I closed my eyes and waited for him to leave before I dialed Jessica’s number. She answered the call at the second beep. ‘That was rather fast’ I thought.

[Tae?! How are you? Is there something aching in your body? Have you eaten?] the series of this kind of question would continue forever, if I won’t cut her off. Well, that’s how Jessica Jung worries about me.

“Yah, Jessica! You’re making me regret calling you” I jokingly said, and chuckled a little bit

[Oh my gahd, Kim Taeyeon! You make us worry too much, and now you’re laughing at me?]

“Mianhe, Jess… Mianhe… Mianhe”

[Aish! As if I can resist you] I smiled at what she said. We chatted for awhile

“Jess…”

[Hmmm?]

“Can I ask you something?”

[What?]

“uhmmmm….”

[I know what you wanted to ask. Yes, he passed by the infirmary but he did not stay. He was probably scared of Jongin. I think they had an argument]

“ahhh… arasso… thanks Jess. You know me too well”

We ended the call soon after.

I smiled

‘He still cares about me’, I thought and then I dozed off.

The next day, Luhan oppa came over to visit again. He brought me fruits and accompanied me for hours by talking about random stuff. The next day, Jessica came over after class. She gave me hand outs and notes. Prior to her visit, Luhan oppa, again, came over and watched over me.

I was absent for two days.

I waited

But, I didn’t get a glimpse of even his shadow.

It’s already the weekend. I’m feeling better now, my fever has gone down. I wanted to get some air. So, I went out of my room and found Hyun Joong oppa

“Oppa!” I called

“Tae! Are you feeling better now?” he asked as he went near me

“Yes” I smiled at him

“Aigoo, my sister has gotten skinnier. Tsk3… You should eat more and rest well so that you won’t get sick again”

“Arasso oppa… Oppa, can you take me to the park. I want some fresh air” He smiled warmly at my request

Third person’s POV

Taeyeon and Hyun Joong just strolled around the park. When they both got tired, they looked for a place to sit down. They stared at the lake in front of them

“Taeyeon” Hyun Joong called out

“Yes, oppa?”

“why didn’t you confess to Sehun?” Taeyeon was a little bit shocked with her brother’s question

“I was afraid to take some risks, oppa”

“risks?”

“yeah. I had too many worries in mind, like, ‘What if Sehun is not the one?’  ‘What if it ends bitterly?’ ‘What would happen to our friendship?’ ‘Should I just throw it all away?’”

Her brother just nodded

“You know, Tae… life is about taking risks. You’ll never know the results if you won’t try. You’ll also be haunted with ‘What if’s”

Taeyeon just stayed quiet and listened to her oppa

“Do you trust Sehun?”

It took Taeyeon some time to answer

“Yes”

“Do you want to be with him?”

“Yes”

“Then confess to him”

“Why? It’s useless. I already know that he cares for me as a friend, nothing more, nothing less”

“Just listen to oppa, ok? Just give it a shot. If you just bottle your feelings inside, you can never move on”

“Ok”

Taeyeon’s tears started to flow once more

“Aigoo, Tae-tae you’re such a cry baby” Hyun Joong said as he Taeyeon’s back while he hugged  her tight.

When Taeyeon calmed down, they started walking once more

“Taengoo~!!” called out someone

“Luhan oppa?” Taeyeon questioned for she did not clearly see who was coming

“Annyeong!”  Luhan greeted when he was close enough to the siblings

“oh, Luhan…” greeted Hyun Joong

“Hyun Joong hyung, can I borrow Taeyeon for awhile?” Luhan asked which made Tae’s eyebrows to furrow

"I really need to tell you something important" Luhan explained

hi everyone!

i'm sorry for the somewhat delayed update

i was really planning to finish this in the weekend because I still got classes

but turns out  days isn't enough for a short ff

and also while making this, I accidentally fell asleep
