[Sampah's POV]

I was out with Katie to go find new costumes at the usual shop. Most of the workers go to this shop to find everything they needs. From clothes, make ups and everything. And it goes directly to the boss's check so we don't have to pay for anything. My life here is between hell and heaven. I could easily enjoy this kind of like which is pretty similar with hugh heffner's playmates and working my off to those old scumbags that came to the club looking for some nice young to squeeze. Ugh, if only i didn't do it to protect my mother, i wont be enjoying this.


"Try this!!" Katie shoved me a pair of red bustier and a cropped jacket for the outer

"yah! it's too skimpy!" I shook my head,

"Uh please candy~ It's the main point!" she shoved me the clothes on my hand and push me to the changing room. I have no choice to try for that.

 before i was finsihed changing, suddenly Katie calling me from outside.

"Candy!! Come out quick!!!! PPALI!!!" She thump the door, feeling confused i managed to put back my tank top and my shorts then bursting out from the fitting room

"What!?" I tapped her shoulder, her back was on my view but then i got shocked when she turned around. She was crying, so hard, holding her phone. Crying in silent. Her eyes were so red and one of her hands clasped on

"What... What happened Katie-yah!?" I shook his shoulder furiously, she dropped her phone and slumped onto the ground, i keep waiting beside her until she stopped sobbing and say something to me

"They... they..... destroy our work place....." she said between sobs. My eyes got bigger,

"Who!? who are they?"

"t-the f-fangs....." she said and keep sobbing. Fangs, dragon-X's biggest enemy finally got their hand on our. I seriously worried about them. Even though most of them are bad guys but still, there is GD...

GD!!!!!!


I search for my phone right away and dialled his number. I'm worried if he wont pick mine up. but thank god he did after a few times calling

"yeh..." his voice sounds weak, I feel my eyes starting to wet
"y-yoboseyo...GD yah..."
"What!?" he sounds so stingy
"i-I heard that.. t-that our place....."
"Been burned down? well yeah.." he said emotionless. BURN? OMGOSH~
"W-where are you now?"
"At the safe house, you should come here. take katie with you too."
"Ok," I said then he hung up the phone. His voice is so different than usual. The usual GD is pretty bright and cheerful but i can't sense any emotions on his voice before. I bowed down to katie and held her up, helping her to sat down on the chair, then call for a cab. She gradually stopped sobbing. I know why she's like this. That place has been her house for this past years, she must be feel hurt

"Come on Katie, let's go to the safe house.." I helped her up then lead her to the cab.

GD once brought me here, about 2 days ago. It's a hidden house inside the thick forest. Even the cab driver was affraid to go through it at first but then lights suddenly showed up and lead the way there. We arrived and saw lots of dragon-X guys were bleeding and limping walking around the house. They saw me and Katie and let us in. Inside, there's not much people. only some people who's injured badly lying in the floor or leaning on the wall. I met Guixian, Katie's boyfriend who's also a worker in the club

"Guixian!!!!" Katie was sooo relieved when he saw his boyfriend. She ran to him and hugged him tightly. thank god he's okay or Katie would be even crazier than this.

"Guixian, what happened exactly?" I asked him, he sighed

"The Fangs.. they suddenly barged into the club with guns and everything. We were outnumbered because some of the guys was out to do a some survey to some places. We lost some of our man...It's a mess...."

"H-How is...."

"GD? He's upstairs. He's a mess now.." Guixian shook his head, I get worried more and more, Without second thought i ran to the stairs and search for GD. I opened every door in the 2nd floor searching for him. I finally found him on the last door, the last door in the hallway that supposed to be the Boss's office. He sat on the big chair in that dim lighted room. I walked in to the room, closing slowly the door behind me. He noticed me in the room right away, then he stood up.

"You're here," He said, expressionless. I just nodded. I never see GD like this before, he looks so gloomy and sad.

"GD... how are...." My words feel stuck in my throat as I came closer to him. I can see traces of tears on his cheeks. he cried..? I came closer to him right away and took his hand

"tell me everything, you know you can count on me right?" I said to him. without words he suddenly hugged me tight and burrying his head on the crook of my neck. I can feel my neck start to be wet, it's his tears. he cried again. then he mumbled something.

"Boss... the boss, my step dad..... Died,"

"Step dad? W-What?" I startled at his words, he let go of the embrace and looked at me with that watery eyes. then now, he reveal everything to me. That time in that place.



GD is an orphan, Andy Lau adopted him from the streets 13 years ago and he's been his golden boy all the time. And now, Andy Lau was died because of the fight before. 3 bullets shot through his heart right when the battle happen. His bodyguards also died. GD was still in shock after all of this. Andy Lau promised him his kingdom after he died, but still.... those luxurious things were nothing compared to the kindness of the boss to him after all this years. Now he feels like he lost all of his source of energy. I feel so sorry of him that i can't let go of his hands today.

no. I wont let go of this hand that helped me through so much difficulties in here. My best friend. Even though i knew him for not so long, i feel like I do. That familiar feeling always linger around me if I get close to him.

"Now it's your choice candy," GD said in the end of his story, i looked at him confused, "Or should i say, Baek sampah now," he shows a faint smile

"huh? what?"

"You can go back to your old life. go back and be Baek sampah again and forget about all this things. I wont even bother your life anymore. Since I'm the boss now," he tried to fake a smile in the end. but it didn;t  made me smile at all.

I supposed to be happy about this offer he made. After a month, finally i can go back to my normal old life. Meeting my mom and my friends and especially ... Siwon oppa again.

But why my heart feels so heavy leaving him here all alone with all of this things? I feel bad. I don't want to leave him.

But why do I feel this way
