“So any plans on what the hell we’re going to do?” Minho asked Taemin.

The two boys were laying on Taemin’s bed, Minho propped up by his arm and Taemin just laid on the pillow facing Minho.

“I have no idea,” Taemin responded solemnly. “But, the wedding is tomorrow.”

“That soon?!” Minho was startled by how quickly the day had come upon them.

“Yes, unfortunately.” Taemin sighed.  

“Well, .” Minho rolled onto his back and threw his arm to cover his eyes.

“I know.”

“What if I just kidnap you?” Minho suggested.

“Great idea! And then when we run away, the guards will chase after us and when they catch you, you’ll be charged with the kidnapping of a prince and sentenced to life in prison! It’s a flawless plan!” Taemin snorted.

“Alright, maybe that wasn’t such a good idea.” Minho sighed.

“Well I could just, you know, call off the wedding.” Taemin suggested sarcastically.

“Let’s get real Tae, that will never work.” Minho groaned.

“I know..” Taemin muttered. “Maybe Onew has an idea?”

“That buffoon?” Minho laughed. “He can barely walk ten feet without tripping over his own feet.”

“That has nothing to do with his ability to problem solve! Besides he’s the prodigy. He has to have some sort of idea of how to get out of this..” Taemin mumbled mostly to himself.

“Possibly but I doubt it.”

Meanwhile in his chambers, Onew was pacing back and forth. He had thought of every possible solution he could think of.

“If Taemin doesn’t show up then he can’t get married!” Onew blurted out to the empty room. “No, that’ll never work, they’ll just come looking for him and drag him there by force.”

Pace pace pace.

“What if Taemin just acts as un-princely as possible! That’ll be a total turnoff! No...they’ll just try to help him after the wedding…” Onew continued to plot.

Pace pace pace.

Suddenly, Onew remembered something Taemin had told him early that day.

“Hey, nice bracelets!” Onew complimented the beautiful handmade bracelets around Taemin’s wrist.

“Oh, thanks. It’s a couple bracelet.” Taemin smiled at Onew as genuinely as he could muster in that situation.

“Really? Where’d you get it?”

“At the market. This old lady was selling them and gave them to me for free. She says that once I find true love it will break into two and attach itself to my true love. She also said that once that happens the bracelets can’t be removed.”

“Wow, that’s pretty intense.” Onew laughed.

“Yeah, it kind of is. If only I knew who this ‘true love’ is.” Taemin sighed.

“That’s it!” Onew shouted.

Without another word, Onew raced out of his room and down the hall towards Taemin’s room. Knocking loudly he entered the room before he had permission, hoping that Minho and Taemin weren’t up to something erted.

“Taemin, Minho!” Onew huffed as he tried to catch his breath.

“Onew? Are you okay?” Taemin rose from the bed and went to Onew’s side.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” He continued to huff.

“What’s with  you practically breaking down the door?” Minho questioned as he joined Taemin.

“I think I have our solution!” Onew shouted excitedly.

“You do?!” Taemin and Minho shouted at the same time.

“Taemin, you know that bracelet that you got at the market?” Onew stood straight.

“Yeah? What about it?” Taemin cocked one eyebrow, not following Onew’s train of thought.

“You said that it’d break apart if you found true love.”

“Yes?”

“Well, what if we found your true love?” Onew smiled.

“What do you mean?” Taemin asked.

“Well, if the bracelet broke in two and attached to someone who wasn’t Tao? Wouldn’t that kind of make it a little more difficult to marry? Especially if the man who was your true love was right there?” Onew smiled even wider.

“Oh! I see where you’re going with this!” Taemin began to smile.

“Yeah!”

“Wait, what does true love have to do with this? Clearly Taemin isn’t in love wih Tao and yet he is marrying him.” Minho interrupted.

“Well, in mermaid culture they put a lot of emphasis on true love. So if Taemin were to publicly show that his true love wasn’t Tao then that’d make things a whole lot more complicated.” Onew explained.

“It’s true,” Taemin continued. “Chances are, they’d halt the wedding and probably call it off.”

“Really?!” Minho smiled.

“Yeah,”

“Well, we just have one teeny tiny issue.” Onew said.

“What’s that?” Minho responded.
“Well, everyone knows that you two are clearly in love but, the bracelet hasn’t broken which brings up the question of who the hell is Taemin’s true love?” Onew reasoned.

“Well, .” Taemin swore.

Hey! Sorry it took me so long to update, Bre is a lazy (Well, EXCUSE YOU!) so she took her good, sweet time editing. Hopefully she'll be faster with the next one (which I'm almost done writing)!

So, this fic is coming to a close soon and we're already thinking up new ideas for our next fic. We recently wrote a mpreg-ish  (emphasis on the ish) one shot (If you haven't read it, you can read it here) and people really seemed to like it so we're thinking of possibly writing a chaptered fic with mpreg in it.
