Today was the day her best friend Hoseok was visiting her from Gwangju. It had been several months since she’d seen that heart shaped smile of his. Her doorbell rang, bringing her out of her thoughts. She leapt up with a wide grin on her face. Joohee raced down the stairs, opening the door and flinging her arms around her best friend. She nuzzled her face into his chest, eyes widening when she realised it wasn’t Hoseok, but his friend Taehyung. Taehyung and Joohee had grown closer ever since Hoseok introduced her to his six friends. She pulled back, seeing Taehyung standing rigidly in front of her. “O-oh. Taehyung…” she smiled awkwardly. “I thought you were-” she paused, spotting Hoseok parking up in his brand new car. “Hoseok oppa!” Joohee pushed past Taehyung and skipped over to her best friend, hugging him. Hoseok stumbled, laughing to himself. “Joohee-yah!” he cooed, hugging her tightly against his chest. Taehyung watched on with a half-hearted smile. I was going to take you out today, pabo. He then frowned, noticing her outfit. You’ve put in so much effort, are you going on a date? Joohee laughed as Hoseok told stories about the time his roommates Jungkook, Jimin and Yoongi made him dance with them. Joohee pushed a strawberry in as she listened to him. “Jungkook had his hands on Yoongi’s chest and Yoongi was doing some weird grinding move on him. Then there was Jimin who permanently had his stuck in the air. Then Yoongi joined in and it sort of turned into a dancing fest.” Joohee smiled softly, imagining the way they’d all laugh as they danced, having lots of fun. “Oh, and there was a time when I was filming them all messing around.” Hoseok clutched his stomach, rolling over in laughter. He wiped away imaginary tears. “And... and Jimin jumped on the bed and… and… he accidently showed his…!” Hoseok fell back onto the grass laughing, propping his head up. “Ah, good times, good times.” Joohee smiled, closing her eyes. “Joohee-yah.” Hoseok called, poking her arm excitedly. Joohee opened her eyes and turned to him. “We made a dance cover of Ringa Linga once.” Her eyes widened in shock. “Jimin was smiling throughout. I mean I know it was fun but we were meant to look cool!” he pouted. Joohee laughed. “Yah, oppa, I bet you were smiling too, weren’t you?” Joohee teased. Hoseok’s ears turned red as he looked down at the floor like a little child being scolded. She clicked her tongue. “I knew it.” Hoseok threw a grape at her head. “Ssh, you’re ruining my story!” he winged like a child. Joohee laughed and munched on a biscuit. Taehyung slumped in his seat, his arms folded over his chest. Even though his friends Namjoon and Seokjin had come over to play video games, he didn’t feel like doing anything. He focused a burning glare at himself in the mirror. Stupid Taehyung, you should have made sure she was free today. “Taehyung? Taehyung!” Seokjin called out, shaking the younger boy’s shoulder. Taehyung snapped out of his daze, mumbling to himself. Taehyung closed his eyes again, shrugging the elder boy off. Seokjin shook him again. Taehyung’s eyes opened and he sent a glare towards him. “What do you want?” Seokjin scratched his neck. Taehyung raised an eyebrow, annoyed that he was disturbed. “It’s your turn now!” his hyung smiled down at him. Taehyung waved him off, sinking in his seat. “I don’t feel like playing right now.” Namjoon overheard and paused the game to grab hold of Taehyung’s legs, pul
