“I’m sorry, I have to go.” I told my boyfriend coldly. He scowled and grabbed my wrist, stopping my movements. I shook my hand, trying to release his grip, but he was too strong. “Oppa!” I cried. “You’re not going anywhere, you’re not leaving me.” he stated, cupping my face in his hands. His gentle lips crashed fiercely on mine. I pulled away, shaking my head. “I can’t be with you anymore, just accept it Taekwoon!” I shouted at him. I rubbed my aching wrist and glared at him before turning on my heel and walking away from the boy I once felt so close to. Things hadn’t been the same since we got together; which was 3 years and 7 months. “Can we talk later, jagi? I need to go to Hakyeon’s for something.” He asked, pecking my lips quickly and grabbing his coat. I tried to protest, but he was already gone by the time I had stood up. I sighed. It was always like this. Every time I wanted to spend time with him he’d always have somewhere else to be. I remember when he would call his friends and tell them ‘not now’. Not now. My heels clacked against the stone pavement as I pulled my coat closer to my freezing skin. The sky was a dark inky indigo, and the lights from the shops around the street lit up the view. His arms wrapped around my waist tightly, his face nuzzling into my neck. I felt a playful smile tugging on his lips. “Nari-ah,” he called softly against my warm skin, pressing his lips to my shoulder. I hummed in response, turning to meet his gaze. “Saranghae.” He whispered against my lips. The sound of his phone ringing cut off our kiss. “Ahh, Wonshik? Mwoya?” he asked over the phone. I looked away and sighed. Just like last time. It’s always like this. “Arasso, I’ll be over in 20.” He hung up the phone and kissed my cheek lovingly. “I have to go now; you’ll be fine by yourself won’t you?” I nodded. When was I not alone? He smiled faintly before putting on his coat. “I’ll be back before 9.” I checked the clock. 7:25. What could Wonshik need that took that long?
