Infamous for being the best that Hangsung High could offer, The Pillars lived the dream student life of their schoolmates. From school leadership to athletics, visual arts to performing arts, campus journalism to campus heartthrobs, the group had the ability to rule the school the way they wanted to. The Pillars might be getting all the attention and praises from other people but apart from all that, they’re just another simple group of friends who got each other’s backs no matter what.

There was Bae Suzy, the feisty next in line student council president, one of the school’s best writers and orators, a 2^nd dan black belter in taekwondo and the apple of the eye of most Hansung guys. She was famous for her arrogant attitude. Everyone adored her but most of them feared her at the same time like Zhang Yixing whom Suzy used to be one-sidedly in love with. She’s the type of person that nobody wanted to mess with. Only one person dared to do so.

Kim Jiwon probably was the best artist in Hansung High’s history. Cartooning, photography, logo-making, painting, digital arts, name it, The Torch’s (Hansung campus paper) art editor could do it. She’s the bubbly bestfriend of Suzy and the only star in the sky of Zhang Yixing.

Famous among their juniors for his friendly and diva nature, Kim Ki Bum never had a problem in dealing with friendship and love matters. He’s the theatre club president, junior governor of the student council and Hansung’s model student of the year. Popularly know as ‘Key’, he was also the most sentimental member of the group.

Being the good-looking dancing machine/Hansung Dance Guild choreographer/Hansung Pirates’ volleyball captain and Ghostring band’s lead guitarist, Zhang Yixing earned a lot of fangirls in three years time already. But everyone had no idea (even his co-Pillars) that he was hopelessly head over shoes in love with the person he’s always bickering with: his one and only star, Kim Jiwon.

Suzy’s arrogance, Jiwon’s creativity, Key’s popularity, Yixing’s athleticism and stage presence, they were all summarized in the character of Amber Josephine Liu, the school’s famous tomboy. Being Hansung Pirates’ hardcore spiker, The Torch’s next Editor in Chief, Ghostring Band’s frontman, their batch’s ‘Chemistry Geek’, she was confident that there’s nothing she couldn’t do as long as her first love Suzy had nothing to do with it. But she met the girl who made her push her limits.

Outside the Pillars’ world was the simply beautiful Krystal Jung Soo Jung. She was ‘The Face’ of Hansung High, the girl blessed with a goddess-like beauty, a certified head-turner. Her elegant yet conservative feature made guys even more drawn into her. She was living an ordinary life despite her popularity among guys until she crossed paths with Amber, the person who turned her simple life into a complicated one.

This is a story of friendship, the sacrifices a person can make to attain happiness and right love at the wrong time.
