Chapter 7
(ED. C4) SEIJIRA ACADEMY 세이지라 아카데미“Look at that,” Luhan said, smiling beside me. “We’re seatmates, too.”
Contrary to his bright facial expression, I found myself frowning. This guy is being overly familiar. After what just happened, he’s now acting like it’s not that big of a problem. Further, after making my heart go frantic with his utterances, he seemed to think we could continue on as happy acquaintances.
It didn't help that for reasons beyond my comprehension, I couldn't bring myself to stop staring at his collarbone. It was something that he was quick to notice…
“Stop it,” he whispered in my ear which made the hairs on my arm all stand up. “You’re burning holes on my skin.”
Look who’s talking. Damn girl-faced Luhan.
We went straight to our seats, our classmates eyeing us and I can just read what they were thinking. “Why is she with him?” “What, are they close now?” “What is she doing with MY Luhan?” I looked at Krystal and I can see her nod grimly at me. Great, more haters. I’m doing a really good job adjusting in this school.
As I finally took my seat, trying so hard to listen to the teacher (the lesson was about the role of the Duireans in the 18th Century), I felt another pair of eyes burning holes on me through my back. And because I’m already not in a good mood, I faced him and finally snapped, “What?!”
Kai was definitely surprised. He didn't say anything to defend himself from my sudden outburst. He just shrugged his shoulders and turned away. To my right, I heard Luhan snicker amusedly.
“Yes, Ms. Lee, are you saying anything?” Mr. Ryu suddenly asked, warranting my classmates further excuse to stare at me.
“No, nothing, sir,” I answered hastily.
The class droned on for another hour. I tried to do my best to take notes but it’s really hard to catch up with some of the lessons because I’m sure they’ve already discussed it before. I made a mental note to ask Krystal later about it. Soon, it was time for math, the subject I hate the most. Surprisingly, it was better than history. The topic was what I’ve studied so hard for my exam at my previous school so I had time to breathe. The class was taught by a woman in her early thirties. She was wearing big gray spectacles that made her look much older and her name, if I heard right, is Ms. Im Su Bin.
Soon, I’ve learned that all classes last for two hours, except for duire practical classes which occur 3 hours every other day, which also meant that I get to rest for three hours every other day because I have nothing to practice on. This school is definitely going to teach me how to be a happy-go-lucky person.
The bell soon rang, signaling the end of Math Class. I was about to stand up when a notebook almost hit me in the face.
“What the—"
“Notes,” Luhan said. “I’m being a very friendly seatmate here so make sure you return that to me without any damages.” He smiled at me coolly and then walked out of the room.
Well, what can I say about Luhan? He is nice in a not-so-gentle way.
I intend to hang around until I figure out what that is.
He said that to me, but I don’t know what he meant by that, or if he really means it.
“You!” I heard Krystal said to me. I looked at her and saw that her expression screams that of disappointment. “For an undetermined person like you, you stir up too much trouble.
