CHAPTER SIX

Chanyeol woke up early today, feeling a bit dizzy, but he had an important thing to do. So here he was, on the way to the bus stop.

"Hey." Chanyeol said afflably.

 She jerked her head up very quickly like she was frightened. "Oh." she said. "Hey. It's you. How's your chest?" she paused a second then she corrected. "Uh, I mean the scald."

"It's fine. Just a faded scar." Chanyeol touched his chest where she left the scar. "Hey, would you like to go for a coffee sometime?"

Dara looked like she'd been hit by a train. "You're asking me out for a coffee?"

"Yes." Chanyeol said firmly, "Yes, I am."

 After a paused, she said, sounding perplexed. "But what if I said no?"

"What's the worst that can happen? You're already scalded me with boiling coffee." Chanyeol teased.

Dara looked at him with an expression curiously akin to despair and the silence stretched too long. Chanyeol's confidence burst with a bang and suddenly he was desperate to leave.

"Are you free this evening?" she asked.

"Sure!" Chanyeol knew a rejection when he heard one. "I'll text you the place and the time okay?"

"Okay then." Once again she sounded confused.

 She glanced at my chest. Suddenly I saw it through her eyes.

"Is it really okay? the scald." She looked worried.
