He said merry christmas.

He said his parents aren't letting him come back to Korea.

He said that he will miss them all, and that hopefully, one day, they can meet again soon.

He said he's sorry he can't say his goodbyes properly, and can only be on the phone for Christmas.

They still celebrate in sadness, in a kind of mourning way--not the way they wanted to 'celebrate'.

They haven't been seen for the whole day.
