I rolled around my bed. I really can’t get what Kai said out of my head.

Why does it bother me so much??

I mean… when Hani was with the others sure I missed her a lot but it didn’t bother me that much. But how come I am bothered by it now?

I decided to talk to Hani about who Kai is.

Hey honeybee are you busy??

I waited for a few seconds before my phone vibrated again.

I’m curious about this Kai kid you’re with.

Kid? Haha! He’s the same age as the two of us silly! :)) what are you curious about?

Oh just… how did you two meet and how close are you and all that…

I typed in. I wonder why but I felt… suddenly protective??

I met him in Japan. He’s really nice once you get to know him. He plays basketball and he’s good in dancing. Listen ChenChen I’ll talk to you later. Kai came over so I need to tend to his whiny . Haha! Bye bye!

I suddenly felt… angry… or maybe angry was too much… I was a little disappointed.

I don’t even know where Hani lives. All I know is she stays in a condominium with some of Jinki sunbaes friends. Other than that I got nothing from her anymore.

And now this Kai shows up and he’s already at her house??

I don’t know… I just feel like… left out?

I shouldn’t be right?? I mean… what’s so bad about Hani having a new friend? it’s not like it was different from when she met the breakfast duo.

I sent to Hani. I typed in the smiley but… I wasn’t smiling. Not at all. What is wrong with me?

Days passed and I see less and less of Hani now. Whenever we’re in school she’s always with Kai. And when school ends, before I could even talk to her, Kai already grabbed her bag and pulled her out of the room.

I wonder what she’s up to now??

She always arrives with Kai at the last minute. She’s not like that before. She would always be ten to fifteen minutes early for class but now she was at least late for five minutes with Kai.

“SAFE!!!” I heard a yell and I saw Kai stumble in the room. The teacher was late so he should be thankful.

“come on princess!! You’re so slow!!” Kai laughed and then yelped when a hand hit his arm.

“I told you to wait for me you little !!!” Hani yelled and my ears perked. Did Hani just… curse??

Out loud??? O__________O

She NEVER curses out loud. Jinki sunbae and I always stop her from doing so!!

“watch your language princess.” Kai said and pinched her cheeks

“AISH!! YAH KIM JONGIN!!!!” Hani yelled and punched Kai with extra force that he stumbled to his seat.

WOAH O______O I’ve never seen Hani hit someone that hard…

“you two are so noisy and it’s only 8 in the morning.” Sehun said and rubbed his temples.

“don’t act so mature Sehunnie.” Hani grinned and Luhan fell off his chair.

“S-SEHUNNIE!?!?” Luhan asked, bewildered

“oh relax Luhannie.” Kai snickered and Hani laughed. I unconciously smiled while hearing her laugh. It sounds so beautiful.

“Baekhyunnie and Chanyeollie liked their nicknames…” Kai said and Sehun shot him a glare.

“shut it.” Sehun said but Kai just stuck out his tongue.

“Luhannie. Let’s play basketball later during physical ed.” Hani said

Oh that’s right. We have P.E. today with section 2. Maybe Chanyeol and I can go for a few rounds on the court. I needed to train extra for the upcoming game with some other school anyway.

But wait… did Hani just say she’d play basketball??

Believe me Hani is sporty but she’s more of the aerobics, jumping rope, badminton, wall climbing type of sporty.

“Hani stop calling me that!! Call me Lu or Lulu… I ike it more…” Luhan whined

“alright alright… Lu… can we play basketball later?” Hani asked again. Yep. She definitely said basketball.

“alright but I must warn you. I am fair player.” Luhan grinned.

“teach me then!” Hani said and I smiled at her cuteness. She’s like asking for candy or something.

“no way!! Enemies don’t teach their enemies!!” Luhan said and Hani pouted. HAHAHAHAHA!! SHE’S SO ADORABLE!!! I can teach her basketball if she wants to learn that bad.

Hey I may not look like it but I play basketball. Don’t underestimate me. haha!

“I can teach you.” I suddenly blurted out and their eyes were on me. especially Hani and Jongin’s.

“what?” I asked

“oh that’s right!! You’re a varisty player!! You’ll teach me ChenChen?” she asked and I found her way of saying my name really cute. I gaver her a shy nod and a smile.

Something inside me couldn’t wait any longer for P.E.

“are you done eating baby?“ I asked and looked over at Yura who was munching on an apple.

“yes. I’m full.” She pouted and I laughed before taking the left over and throwing it to the bin.

“let’s go change for P.E. okay?” I asked and she smiled before nodding cutely.

We went to separate dressing rooms and I could hear the sounds of rubber being dragged along the floor. Maybe some students are here already….

I waited for Yura outside the dressing room and she came out while tying her hair.

“let’s go?” I asked and she nodded, I draped my arm over her shoulder and we walked in the gym.

“WAIT!!!!! GIVE IT BACK!!!!!” a familiar shout rang in my ears. I scanned the place and that’s when I found…

Hani and Kai.

They were already in their gym clothes and Kai was dribbling the ball while Hani chased him around.

“JONGIN!!! SLOW DOWN!!!!” Hani yelled

“come and catch me princess!!!” Kai yelled back while laughing and Hani glared before running after him.

I don’t know why but I felt my heart drop.

I was supposed to teach Hani basketball but now….

“baby you okay? Don’t you wanna sit down?” Yura asked and that’s when I realized I was frozen in my spot. I looked at her and gave a smile though I had to force it.

What is wrong with me?? why am I like this?? It was just a simple thing but I couldn’t help but feel down.

“UGH!!! DAMN IT!!!” Hani yelled and I saw her pouting at the ring. She looks so cute when she’s annoyed.

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You’re so cute princess!! Come here… I’ll teach you.” Kai said and I couldn’t help but narrow my eyes at him.

Why does he call Hani princess?? Not to be selfish but I am the only one allowed to give Hani nicknames since I’m her best friend.

I suddenly felt something like a huge boulder roll over me when Kai held Hani’s waist. I don’t know why but anger started to build inside of me when he held her arms and hands to help her shoot.

“I DID IT!!!!” Hani’s voice woke me up from my strange feel but it didn’t make me feel better when she turned around and hugged Kai.

I know Hani likes hugs but… ever since the day we started our highschool year… she never hugged me anymore. I was the one who always hugged her and she would hug back and I like it but… why do I feel so empty right now??

“WOAH MAN!!! HANDS OFF OUR PRECIOUS!!!” a loud deep voice suddenly arose and I turned to see Baekhyun and Chanyeol with Luhan and Sehun.

Kai let go and I let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding.

“haha! Sorry guys. I was teaching princess here how to shoot a ball.” Kai said and messed with Hani’s hair. Surprisingly, Hani didn’t push him off or anything like that.

“are you ready for our one on one then?” Luhan grinned

“wait! Hold it! stop! Let me put it down another way…” Chanyeol commented

“that is so lame.” Baekhyun rolled his eyes but the tall basketball player just laughed.

“I want to have a game with the boys first. You guys can play later when we’re done. 3 on 3. My section versus yours.” Chanyeol said and Kai gave a grin.

“Sehun’s in my team… and…” Kai looked around and he spotted me.

“you play right?” Kai asked

“are you kidding!? He’s our top scorer apart from me!” Chanyeol smiled and waved me over. I stood up and got down the bleachers and walked up to them.

“really?? I know you play but I didn’t know you were that good.” Hani said and her eyes showed excitement and disbelief.

“is it that hard to believe?” I asked

“yeah!!!” she shouted and I hit her arm and she smacked my forehead in return. AISH!!! THIS LITTLE!!!! WAIT TILL I GET MY HANDS ON YOU I SWEAR I’LL-----

“now now stop it I’m getting jealous.” Kai suddenly butted in and Hani rolled her eyes. But I couldn’t help but be disturbed by Kai’s words. Why would he be jealous??

“so in my team it’s Me, Doojoon and Junhyung.” Chanyeol said and called two other guys.

“I’ll be the referee!!” Luhan said happily.

“alright then!! 3 on 3 game!! Section 1 versus section 2!!!” Hani yelled and grabbed the basketball on the ground.

“don’t I get a goodluck kiss?” Kai suddenly asked and I froze. I looked at Hani and she was red but she smacked Kai on the arm.

“ow!! Why is it always my arm!?!” Kai whined and flicked her forehead

“why is it my forehead!!! You little!!!” Hani said and was about to tackle him but Chanyeol butted in.

“guys it’s basketball not wrestling. Can we play now please?” he asked and Hani huffed while sitcking out her tongue to tease Kai.

I don’t know but… I feel very uneasy.
