Love Makes You Family
Description
Needing a break, JiYong decides to take a step back from the spotlight and agrees to be on the show 'We Got Married'. He gets matched up with an American photographer and begins to see what all he's been missing while he was busy being 'wild and young' . . . and doing it just for fun ;-)
**I know 'We Got Married' stories are done to death in this site, but I promise you, mine will be different. The bulk of the story takes place 'off camera'. Just try out the first two chapters. You'll probably like it.**
***If you haven't, you should read The Sun and The Moon first. This is a spinoff. Characters and themes will be revisited.***
Foreword
“Are you sure you want to do this, JiYong?” Yang HyunSuk asked him over tea in his office. JiYong swirled the cup in his hands and stared into the light green liquid as if it would display an answer.
“I'm . . . I'm tired, hyung. I can feel myself burning out,” he told him with complete candor. “I'm still here. I'll still come to the studio and help produce for the other artists. I'll mentor trainees, I'll still support my brothers, and you, in anyway you need me to. But I can't do the back to back tours and I can't do the back to back promotions anymore. I need a break, and I think the public needs a break from me. Also, with me out of the way, it'll give more light to my brothers.”
HyunSuk scratched his head and leaned back in his chair. “I can understand that, but . . . this show? This is how you want to spend your 'time off'?”
JiYong laughed. “I know, it's crazy, but when they approached me with the offer, it just felt right. It films one day, every other week, unless we go out of town. I'll still have plenty of time to rest, write and get my head straight. It'll take about a year, depending on how well she and I get along. That should be enough time.”
HyunSuk stood to signal the end of the meeting and came around his desk to meet JiYong. He put his hands on JiYong's shoulders, and then gave him a tight hug. “Take the time you need, but know that I'll be watching. And I still expect to see you in this building at least once a week.”
“Thank you, hyung. I will.”
“Good. Now have fun being 'married'.”

“Jo, are you sure you want to do this?”
“Do what, my pesky personal assistant?” Jodi Oh spun around in her chair to face SooYoung, who was leaning in the door frame.
“This show. You hate reality TV.”
“I know, I know, but it seemed like a good idea when the PD told me about the show. On the up side, it'll keep me in the country for a fixed amount of time. The boys need stability, and let's be honest, I could use the money and exposure.”
“I can understand that, but . . .” SooYoung puffed her cheeks out and made a funny face.
“But nothing, sweetie pie. What's done is done.” Jodi finished with a shrug. “And think of it this way, if I'm on TV, so are you.”
“That is true,” she agreed as she checked her reflection in the mirror and fluffed her hair. “I've been told have a face for TV.”
“It'd be better on radio, but oh well,” Jodi joked. SooYoung threw a towel at her and made her laugh. “So, when do I meet my intended?”
“Three weeks. You shoot on Thursdays, unless there's a schedule conflict.”
“And you really have no idea who he is?” Jodi asked with a hopeful expression.
“Nope. I tried, but they're very tight lipped. It'll just have to be a surprise, boss lady.”
“I hate surprises.”
