Hai, I'm back! :)

Okay, so this is officially my first published fanfic about Chanyeol.

And shamelessly (but IDC), I based it off on me.

My real name is actually Vannida, and a majority of my friends actually do call me Vani. (My last name isn't Lee, though)

And heck, I'm like, extremely Chanyeol-biased (el oh el).

And An, Nicole, and Jackie, the side characters who were Vani's besties in this story? Those are actually my besties in real life. :D

So yes, I based a lot of this off my own life. And that nightmare Vani had? That's mine. I'm monophobic (afraid of being alone).

I sorta have the same character as the Vani in this story. We are both humorous when we want to, and we like to smile, laugh, and joke.

But it was kinda hard to express that side of this Vani in this fanfic, since I tried to be creative and made the story told in a chronological order.

I did my best, lol. Vani was kind of weird and pushy as she got older in this story, so I think she could be viewed as selfish. (Omf this is weird, critiquing myself when it's not really myself XD) Then again, Chanyeol has been an ignorant hubby in this fanfic, so I guess it wasn't all that bad. Since Vani got so different as she grew up, you must be thinking something like, "Oh, why'd Chanyeol propose to HER?" But I thought it was acceptable since they had a close relationship from childhood.

The reason I did the little kid scenes was to show 1). how close they were and 2). why they became lovers instead of having a relationship where they both feel like each other's siblings. I hope that clears any confusion. :)

I'd like to say that this story got a TON of inspiration from music.

Here's a playlist that explains each song's symbolism in the story:

- Best Friend : Jason Chen [ this song expresses how two people had known each other since they were young and the guy had fallen in love with his best friend ]

- Baby Don't Cry : EXO [ this is obvious, haha. But this song expresses how a man's love would protect his woman, and how he would never let his woman cry on painful nights. Yes, Yeol in this story didn't do this exactly, but he shows how deep his love is for Vani as the story progresses ]

- Be Ma Girl : Teen Top [ this song talks about how a guy may be awkward and inexperienced in love, but still wants to do whatever he can to be the right guy for his girl. To me, this song refers to the scene where Chanyeol conforts Vani about Sehun ]

- Crooked : G-Dragon [ firstly, this song is amazing, like all of the other songs mentioned, haha! But anyways, it's about how ever since the lover changed and left him, the other lover was left crooked and afterwards, that person feels lonely and then parties every night to try and ease the pain. Yeol does something similar to this ]

- Growl : EXO [ this song is about how a guy doesn't want anybody else after his woman and wants to be the one who protects her ]

- Hate You : Ladies' Code [ this song is about how the lover hates and loves someone even after a dying relationship ]

- I Would : Henry Lau [ this song is about trying to get over somebody, but never being able to. Vani THOUGHT she was over Yeol, but she wasn't. They both never got over each other, and yay, in the end, they are back together haha :) ]

- Stupid Liar : BIGBANG [ this song expresses the wonky up & down feelings that Yeol & Vani have for each other ]

- Tomorrow : Tablo ft. TaeYang [ so in this song, there's a line that goes like, "There's no tomorrow 'til you come back", so I feel like that part expresses Chanyeol's regret and longing for his lover ]

So yeah, that's the inspiration!

Okay, and two more things ~
