Krystal received a text the following evening. It was Minho. After the little ice cream date as Krystal calls it, they exchanged handphone numbers. It wasn't an awkward thing like in all those dumb cliche dramas, but she still couldn't help blushing when Minho popped the question. He did spot it and grinned to himself. When asked why, he simply shook his head and continued smiling as always.
want 2 come over 4 a movie? friends are going out 4 d nite
Obviously yes, but would that be okay with her parents? They were the type of people who were really overprotective of their daughters especially since they only had daughters. She really didn't want to lie but she really wanted to go. She sighed to herself and texted back.
i dont think my parents would allow me 2 go out late
She pressed send and sulked her way to her bedroom. She didn't feel like eating dinner anymore. She thought she was really acting like a brat, especially over a boy. A boy she barely knew. But she really felt like he was really who she thought he is. She woke up from her thoughts as her mother called her downstairs.
Krystal's eyes widened. She thought she was hallucinating. Minho was in her house, having tea with her parents at the dining table. He then turned and flashed her his signature grin and she blushed, as confused as she is.
"Here comes the princess!" Her father exclaimed as he laughed.
"What's going on, appa?" She asked as she walked over to sit beside her father, right across from Minho.
"Your boyfriend came over to ask for permission to take you out tonight." Her father's eyes gleamed amusedly at her. B-boyfriend?
"H-he's not my boyfriend. I just met him on the beach the other day." She quickly explained.
"Well, if he really is that well-mannered to come ask for permission to take you out, I wouldn't mind if he is."
