Don’t Take My Dreams
26th November
A girl of average height with her hair tied up in a loose bun ambled down the bare corridor, her sheep skin boots causing only a slight shuffle as she made for her destination. The female dressed in opaque white dance tights and a cable knit sweater which was more like a dress watched out of the window which lined the corridor as the snow fell steadily. Thick white flakes settled on the natural scenery of the campus, yet a group of ten or so ran around on the frosted field some seventy yards away. Regardless of the bitter weather, the University's soccer team was having their practice on the AstroTurf court off to the right. Aside from them, there was only a single pair stood beside the storage shed, a female in the uniform Dobok while her company jumped up and down like someone not quite right. It made her want to go out and feel the tranquillity of the fluffy goodness, but she was already booked up. There was a Christmas production coming up and with her all of her gruelling hard work, she'd managed to claim an important role.
Shaking the desire to laze from her mind, the brunette tottered along the empty corridor at the back off the silent block. After the havoc she had seen going on in the main building, she was happy to be out of there and be on her way to her own practice. Making it to the designated door, a body from her right room bumped into her. With a tangled mess of hands flapping and heads bowing, the ‘attacker’ scuttled away muttering apologies under a heavy foreign accent.
Watching the slim male she’d seen numerous times before disappear, the dancer turned the cold metal handle of her destination and pushed the barrier open with care, knowing it to have an obnoxious squeak if you were too heavy-handed with it. Two other female's were already present and in the middle of a conversation as they used the ballet bar to stretch. "EunAh Ssi," One of her classmate's paused and held her nose in the air. "a member of the council dropped that off for you earlier." She pointed over towards the small desk in the far corner that was used by their instructor.
Expression rigid, EunAh lowered her head in mandatory politeness and then walked over to where she'd been directed. Amongst the training regimes and performance programs, the newly arrived student saw the fancy envelope with her name on it. Picking up the item and checking the other women weren't looking over, EunAh peeled back the flap and read over the words scrolled in neat calligraphy.
'Cho EunAh,
You have been selected to take part in this year's Development Program.
Please attend the meeting in the assembly hall at 4:30pm - November 26th.
Congratulations on your acceptance.'
Trembling with anxiety, the young woman scrunched her eyes as she tried to clear her mind. Breathing in through her nose and out through slowly, the brunette twiddled the industrial bar in her left ear as a force of habit to calm herself in order to think straight. She was never one for socializing at the best of times but now, she had been plucked from thousands of others to be sent out into the middle of nowhere with people she didn't know. This was just great; she'd finally got a shot at a main role after putting in the months of harsh practice and now she was practically having it snatched from her. Shrugging the strap of her oversized purse up her shoulder, the dancer kept her head low and dashed for the door, ignoring the calls from her peers.
