Paint It Black
November 26th
A woman of slim stature, dressed in black from head to toe, skulked down the emptying hallways towards the Music Department. She was going about her own business when the intercom radio came on. To her surprise, she recognized the voice that did not belong to anyone in the University's Broadcasting Club.
"Ah, em...Yeah..." The man's voice started out hesitantly and the brunette paused to listen to what was to be said when the speaker actually got around to it. "This is a message to Kim MinSeok Ssi of the Sport Science Department, Hwang Ria Ssi of the Business Department, and Shin JangMi Ssi of the Music Department."
The female unintentionally squeezed the strap of her mailer bag at the mention of her name. Her heart began to pound harder as the thoughts drifted through her head and she suddenly felt an uneasiness beginning to choke her.
"On behalf of the Student Council I, Kim JongIn, have been tasked with letting you know to meet at the broadcasting room in order to relay important, personal news. Please arrive promptly. Thank you in advance." The voice coming from the speaker above her head finished off shakily.
"Yeah~ That was our very own Prince Charming." One of the actual members of the Broadcasting Club sung through a chuckle. "It seems he's not quite with it today. Anyhow, please don't dilly dally and make your way to the broadcasting room as soon as possible." What the announcer was saying faded off and the brunette with the guitar strapped to her back felt her stomach bubble like magma in the bottom of an active volcano.
Putting her hand on the wall to stabilize herself, JangMi was unsure whether it was anxiety or irritation that was fizzing in her veins. Shin JangMi was a loner on many levels. She found it hard to make friends, but it wasn't like she wanted them in the first place. People being in her life only meant one thing to her, and that was that they'd always end up hurting her and then leaving without a care. Maybe that was why she was so interested in the first speaker. It wasn't that he was popular or charming towards everyone, there was something else about him that only she could understand. Something that he didn’t share with anyone.
Chewing her thumb nail, the short girl hissed. "Tch, !" Kicking the wall in realization that something was off, the brunette hung her head and grit her teeth. "ers..." She took a deep breath to calm herself but it only made her more worked up. Rolling her neck sharply, the music major marched to where she was supposed to be.
