Fairytales are a rite of passage, in a way, a part of childhood that can never be erased. This is a contest designed for the weavers of words, the spinners of sentences, the tellers of tales. In this contest, each participant will choose a classic fairytale from the prompts provided, and tasked with breathing new life into the story. There are three ways to do this.

1. Tell the tale in the original fashion of darkness and misery

2. Spin the happier version popularized by Disney

3. Weave the characters into a new story all your own (RECOMMENDED!!!)

Whichever choice is made, you must make your characters REAL. Make them come to life, dance across the screen and tell their tale with vitality and depth. Make this story your OWN, an old tale told in your words.
