My Judging Rubric
Weavers of Words, Spinners of Tales: Fairy Tale Contest (WINNERS ANNOUNCED)So several people have asked me how I will be judging this, and though I scratched the surface of the rubric in the FAQ chappie, I thought to tell you guys fully what I will be looking for. =)
TITLE (10/10)
-- Is your title catchy, unique, fitting to the tale that you've told?
DESCRIPTION (10/10)
-- How well do you pull me in and make me want to read it, with your front page alone?
PLOT (40/40)
-- How well do you portray the tale in your own words and own way? Does the plot make sense? Could I follow it easily?
GRAMMAR & SPELLING (15/15)
-- A bit self-explanatory here
CHARACTER DEVELOPEMENT (15/15)
-- How well did you bring your characters to life? Did you give them depth and personalities and dimensions to make them feel real?
OVERALL ENJOYMENT (10/10)
-- How much I enjoyed your re-telling of the tale you chose.
TOTAL (100/100)
