Today's discussion will be solely revolving around Author's Notes. You've all seen them, whether they're in your story or if you've just read them a bunch of times.

Things that are okay to put in authors' notes:
-Notifying the readers that you will be on hiatus after that chapter
-Thanking the readers for the story's support

Things that are not okay to put in authors' notes:
-Your life story of why you haven't updated in a few days
-Putting "I hope you like it!" or "I wonder what happens next?" in every chapter.

Where to put authors' notes:
-At the beginning of a chapter
-At the very end of the chapter

Where not to put authors' notes:
-In the middle of the chapter

What else to do with authors' notes?:
-Make it a different font, size, and/or color. Preferably just a bit smaller or a blue or purple color.

What else not to do with authors' notes?:
-Make it size 72 font with bright yellow text.

I know this was a quick chapter, but the inspiration that got me to make it is small. I have a beta shop, for those of you who don't know, and a lot of people have come to it looking for a beta to improve their stories, whether it's because English isn't their first language or they want to go over it because it's for a writing contest, or whatever. One story I'm beta-ing currently has random author's notes all over the chapter, and they're.. well..

‘Hey you author! I’m really stingy! Jessica is mine and nothing can’t change that.’

(A/N: err.. ok. I’m sorry!!!)

or..

(A/N: Lu Han cry right?)

‘You, author nim! Just shut up and continue writing!’

(A/N : I’m sorry again!!!)

or...

(A/N : WHAT???! Oh what happen to you Lu Han?? you said Sehun is ?? Aniya!!!!)

‘Before I kick your author nim, how about you leave us with a peace?’

(A/N : You freaking y Lu Han.)

‘WHAT?? this is my story!!’

“LU!! What happen to you?” Jessica snapped her finger in front Lu Han. make Lu Han realised that he just having a illusion between him and the author from ‘ert Author’ who gladly shipped Kris and Jessica.

Yes, he swear he going to kick SicaKris tomorrow.
