If you've read any other tip shop chapters by other people, you've probably already seen this, but it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.

CHARACTER NAMES.

If you want your character to have a specific 'feel' to them, don't give them a name that doesn't fit (unless it is supposed to be that way). For example, if your OC is intentionally not of Asian ethnicity, do not give them an Asian name, and vice versa.. If your character is 100% German, do not name them EunJi. If your character is 100% Vietnamese, do not name them Francesca. You 'na mean?

If you make an OC that is, say, a bully, give them a bully-like name. If the bully is a girl, don't name them Valentina or some happy-sounding name.

Don't give your character a Mary-Sue name. This would include any name that makes your character 'special' or 'unique' because absolutely no one else has this name. Overused and cliche names are fine, but please try to avoid them.

Lastly, if you can't think of a name, don't put ____, use the 'you' code (you can find it in my profile) instead. It basically means the same thing, but it's better in most opinions.
