Foreword

Hello, tis I, Serendipity, finally back and defeated the writer's block disease. During my year of absence, I've been watching tons of shows from Criminal Minds to I Hear Your Voice and boy let me just say that I am in love with mysteries & crime solving shows. I've also been watching a lot of Grey's Anatomy but unfortunately I will not being making this story medical based, we already have enough Kdramas coming out that are medical based so you don't need me to write anything in that category! You'll see a lot of those shows influence this story but nonetheless, I'll try to keep things entertaining and fresh (or so I hope). I've also been reading a lot of stories on here as well on my kindle, so I've been itching to start writing stories once again. Since it's been over a year or so since I've written, I'll be trying out different writing formats.

I've also been watching a lot of Korean variety shows such as Running Man, Barefoot Friends (love Kim Hyun Joong AH) and more. So I've been really getting into the EXO scene lately because of Weekly Idol & Beatles Code and if you guys know me, you know that I'm a er for great entertainers (the ones who make me laugh are A+ in my book) and these boys are like...12 heavenly goodies...but of course, there's always those that you favor slightly more in the group, and in my case, they're Suho, Chanyeol and Kris.

During my absence, I noticed that there's actually quite a lot of stories here that features EXO, so if any of you (people who are actually reading this, I'm hoping there's at least one person lol) have any favorite stories that you think I should check out, definitely let me know, I'm dying to read some awesome fanfics.

Without further adieu,

Ba-bump. Ba-bump. Ba-bump. She looked around for an exit. Footsteps could be heard rushing towards her direction. Seeing a door on the other side, she quickly took a deep breath before sprinting across the room.

"She's running! Hurry, shoot her!" One of the men shouted as soon as he spotted her.

BANG.

She took a deep breath as he carefully pulled out the last fragment of the bullet from her shoulder. "Are you okay?" He asked her as he finished cleaning her wound. She nodded and gave him a reassuring smile, "All in a day's work. Suho, you worry way too much!"

"Gillian, why didn't you wait for the rest of us? Things could have gotten way more serious if we didn't realize you were gone." Suho sighed, he knew that lecturing her would be useless, she always did what she wanted to do. She wasn't considered their Ace for no reason.

Here he goes again, worrying about me when I'm perfectly fine. "Suho, you should know by now that I'm always careful! Besides, I finished the job ahead of schedule didn't I? So that means we get the rest of this week off and we can finally relax. The whole team needs a break every now and then." She was right, they've been pulling allnighters just scouting the building, their whole team desperately needed a few days to rest.

Suho gave her another long stare before giving her his warm smile. "Yeah, you're right. The important thing is that you're safe. That's all that matters."

"I'm off to give my oral report, see you later Suho!" He continued to look at her carefully as she got off her chair and headed towards the door. I just wish that sometimes, you would think about yourself a little more. There are people who would be hurt if you got hurt...

Gillian slowly stretched her arm and a jolt of pain ran through her shoulders. She really needed to change her habit of always rushing in before thinking. I was actually pretty reckless this time, if Suho didn't get there on time...Gillian shook off the thought, she didn't want to start putting negative thoughts into her head. It wasn't the time for her to start doubting her instincts.

She took a look around her loft, there wasn't much in there. In fact, her apartment was pretty empty. She had a couch that can be pulled out to make a bed. A table and one chair, since she usually doesn't have guests over. A lamp beside her couch, and a bookshelf. That was all she had in her loft. She wasn't keen on decoration, she just had enough furniture around for her own use. Her clothes were all neatly hung or folded into her suitcases, usually her missions required traveling, so she always had her clothes packed and ready to go. She barely even came home to her loft because some missions would require her to stay in hotels or houses or other places that the government provided.

She took a deep breath and laid on her bed. Although she didn't have much to call this place a home, it was still her home and it felt really good for her to actually relax and be at her own loft. Maybe I'll buy a painting or something....

"This is our next mission," The current head spoke as everyone in the room looked over the files, "we have reason to believe that this man, Lee Donghae, is the mob boss"

"But we have no clear evidence against him?" Suho asked while reading over the files carefully.

"That's right. We heard that he will be staying at the Versaille Hotel this week. As you all know, that hotel is known as the hottest place to be for young adults. So we will need people to go undercover and try to get close to him. We need enough evidence to prove that he really is the leader of the Black Phoenix."

Gillian carefully read over the file. Lee Donghae, age 26. CEO of Kim Enterprises. Recently, there has been numerous reports stating that the Kim Enterprises have been illegally transporting goods and that is how the company keeps growing financially. "How would you like us to get close to him?"

"Gillian, Jessica, and Tiffany, I will need you three to try and seduce Mr. Kim. We are not sure if you girls will be able to succeed but it's worth a try. Suho, and the rest, we need you all to just keep an eye out. Maybe approach him and try to be his friend but if that does not work, make sure to keep an eye out and aid the girls in any way possible."

"Yes sir!" Everyone replied in unison.

Gillian walked towards the pool, making sure to locate her target before making any sudden movements. Donghae was sitting on a lounge chair, reading some sort of book. So you're the reading type. She looked around and found Suho working at the bar. He gave her a reassuring smile, as if to tell her that he's got her back in case something goes wrong.

She took off the wrap that she was wearing and allowed her perfect figure to be shown. The bikini she wore was hugging her in all the right places. She slowly walked down, catching the attention of almost everyone that she walked pass. She sat down at the empty lounge chair next to Donghae. He didn't even look away from his book. So you prefer books over women? She took a quick glance at the book, "Shakespeare?"

Donghae finally stopped reading his book and turned to face Gillian. Obviously liking what he saw, he gave her a flashy smile, "Yeah, you read Shakespeare?"

Gillian shook her head, "Nope. Not a big fan of those hardcore romance stuff. Isn't he an advocate for true love? I think true love is fake and it's just made up by some moron that just wanted to mess with people's heads."

Donghae grinned at her response. It was refreshing to hear someone's own opinion, he was tired of hearing people just agreeing with whatever he said. "Oh really? But I thought every girl believes in true love deep down."

"What kind of girls are you hanging around? I don't believe in true love and I'm pretty sure there are girls out there that don't as well."

"Did someone break your heart? Is that why?" Donghae teased, usually whenever girls are stubborn about love, it's because they had their hearts broken.

Gillian shook her head, "Oh please. I barely have enough time for myself, you think I would have enough time to get my heart broken by some loser?"

"You've never even told me your name...miss..."

"My name is Anne." Gillian introduced herself.

"I'm Donghae, nice to meet you, Anne." Donghae shook her hand. "So tell me. Since you say you don't have any time for yourself, what exactly are you doing here?"

"Wow, you haven't even asked me out on a date and you're already trying to find out what my schedule is?" Gillian joked. "I'm actually here on a business trip. My father sent me here to close a deal with one of our investors. To be honest, I was only sent here to seduce the investors."

Donghae grinned, if he was one of the investors, he would've said yes to anything she proposed. "Seduce? But I thought you had no time for men?"

"No time to get my heart broken, which means no time to date and get to know people but I never said I had no time for guys." Gillian had a sly look on her face. She could tell that Donghae was getting more and more interested in her. Too easy.

Serendipity's Notes

I'm honestly not sure if I will be using Jaejoong as another main character for this story...I'm really torn between Jaejoong and Yunho for this story! Especially because both of them are pretty suited to be the character. As for choosing Suho out of all the EXO members, I'm sorry that I'm not sorry, haha! He is one of my favorites but that's not entirely why I chose him, I promise! The character fits his image as well. Not really sure about the pairing as well. I may change Gillian's character to just some fictional character but still using her looks since I really do like her but that really depends on my mood. As of right now, I'm fine with Gillian Chung as my main girl character. Hopefully this will bring back some of the old Gillian Chung fanfics from the good old Winglin days :). Enjoy! Thanks for reading all this blabber.

xx: I'm really sorry Donghae...I really didn't want to make you a mob boss, I swear! It was Imaginatious who told me that you would make a y mob boss and I totally succumbed to peer pressure.
