“Araso! I’m coming!” I replied. I fixed my school’s uniform skirt and pulled the sleeves’of the blazer down to cover my recently cut scars just from the night before. I looked at myself in the mirror, put on my glasses, and practiced my fake smile before I went to my mom. I quickly grabbed my backpack before going downstairs. Once I reached the kitchen I stopped at the wall and saw my mom reading a newspaper. I sighed as the thoughts of my dad ran through my head. My dad had died because of cancer when I was just nine years old. We were both really depressed for a couple of months.
