For a moment Kyuhyun felt utterly captivated by the sight of Donghae sitting at the edge of the bed with a book on his lap, he was just reading silently but the way he looked at that moment, he was divine in Kyuhyun’s eyes.
He took slow and quiet steps towards the older man, still busy with what he was reading, Hae didn’t noticed the younger’s approach that when he lifted his head to take a glance, Kyu was only a breath away. Hae stared back at those tantalizing eyes; he was at a daze as he was looking at it intensely. “Anything I can do for ya?” Hae bought out a toothy grin and bit his lower lip.
Kyu couldn’t help but to melt at the sight, “Have I ever told you how perfect you look?” Hae snickered at what he said. “Really now… is something up with you?” Kyu grinned and sat beside him, “You’re not at your usual ways…” he looked at him to search for that little change that was going on. “Don’t I have any right to be like this to you?” he moved closer and rested his chin on Hae’s shoulder.
“I know that I’ve let things… ponder to another level between us… but, that doesn’t make things… go down on its when you think it should” he was hesitant with his words and looking at Kyu’s hazy lit eyes, this seemed far too familiar.
Kyu planted his hand gently onto Hae’s cheek and caressed the soft and smooth skin, sending shivers to his spine. “How ‘bout just letting it go? Let things go to its… natural course” he spoke in a wispy manner. Hae felt the blow of breath damp his now sensitive skin, he shut his eyes and made a light moan that was involuntarily. Kyu didn’t let that sound escape without being appreciated.
Hae’s eyes wondered on its own as he looked at Kyu’s image up close, his gaze landed on the man’s forehead, then his nice and rather long eye lashes. “I didn’t know he had those that long…” he noted himself, his fine sharp shaped nose, those rosy colored skin… “As I recalled it wasn’t rosy pink… it should be milky white… is he… feeling hot or something” he then finally laid his eyes on Kyu’s wet and reddish lips. He couldn’t help but to bit his lower lip as it looked nice and juicy just like when they kiss.
After a minute of admiring the younger’s features, Kyu broke the silence by leaning in for a kiss. Hae’s body tensed and his heart raced like crazy, his whole body fell into dire heat. As his breathing became raspy, Kyu paused and took a look on Hae’s face. “You don’t usually act like this when I kiss you… is there something wrong?” Hae gulped before answering. “This is… rather… awkward for me” Kyu didn’t know what to say at that moment.
“I’m sorry… it’s just that…” Kyu interjected “No, you’re tensed about this… maybe you’re not in the mood for anything like this…” he smiled and it made Hae’s heart go back into a steady rhythm. “Come on… let’s get down stairs” he invited, Hae nodded and stood up. He wasn’t sure of what had happened.
They’ve kissed, heck; they’ve done that more than too many after the first. He had let Kyu do it because… he liked it; he liked the feeling of having a warm pair of lips damp with his. Kyu’s hands massaging his back or nape, Kyu’s hum whenever their kiss would deepen, even when Kyu would dare to infiltrate his cavern with his tongue and they’d end up having a luscious French kiss. With the thoughts of all those things, he was all wired up and back in heat. It was the same thing that he felt on that… night.
They didn’t talk about it nor did neither of them bring that topic up for discussion. They didn’t bother to get things cleared; it was as if that night had never happened. They kissed, hugged, cuddle, roughen each other up and even touch each other’s faces and some top part exposed skin but, that night seemed that it was just a dream that they’ve forgotten. But to Donghae, it was all reality.
Even if Kyuhyun wouldn’t talk about it, he looked as if he was looking for a right moment to bring it up. He didn’t want to shut down the topic if it would rise to the thought but, he felt really awkward right after that. He was embarrassed with what he had just said, and he didn’t want to humiliate himself about it. For him it was humiliating.
“It’s a growth spurt and it’s more likely that I just got my hormones at peak! T-That doesn’t mean that I was willing to throw myself to him… although, I had been having a lot of dreams about him lately… and some aren’t all innocent” he admitted to himself. He couldn’t comprehend what was going on since when it happens, his whole body goes wild that he doesn’t even know how to move his limbs correctly.
So namely, Donghae is afraid that if it were to happen again, things would be… he shook his head at the thought as they walked down the stairs. Kyu noticed and looked at him “Anything wrong?” Hae got his feet down from his thoughts; “Y-Yeah… everything’s dandy” he smiled forcefully and Kyu just shrugged it off and continued walking down.
Hae sighed at himself about his actions and then went to the couch and laid there to let his hyped body relax a bit, “This is so frustrating right now…” he whispered to himself and placed his arm on his eyes and blocked the light. “I… really… wanted it to happen…” his heart had gone wild at his thought went rampant once more. “His… lips, his touch, his body… the heat that comes out… it was all too overwhelming for me that… I had…” he gulped before continuing “Hoped that… hyung hadn’t come… to interrupt”
“What if he didn’t came, what could’ve Kyu had in mind? Was he… really thinking of doing of what I…” he stopped as the tension inside himself felt so immense that his breathing became thick. He stood up and stared blankly as Kyu walked into the living room with a tray, he just came from the kitchen and hopefully in Hae’s mind, he didn’t heard a single word.
“What’s wrong with you? You’ve looked so bothered for quite a while… is there something I need to know or what?” he placed the tray and gave Hae some juice and laid some of the cake that was still left from the party yesterday. Hae blinked rapidly before he shook his head, “Nah, I’m just a bit dazed that’s all” he smiled and bowed his head.
Kyu felt something peculiar but knowing Donghae, he wouldn’t be easy to crack. “By the way, I’ve been meaning to ask this… and I don’t know if I could still hold it in” Hae’s eyes nearly popped out of its sockets and he snapped his head towards the younger with a shocked expression. “Oh, please… don’t let it be that… that night… I-I’m not that quite prepared to answer anything about that!” he panicked.
Kyu sat beside him and Hae immediately made a distance in which Kyu had to raise a brow, “Alright whatever’s going on with you, this isn’t getting better. Could you please calm down, you know I wouldn’t bite” he kid and chuckled and Hae did so but in a forceful way, Kyu was suspecting something is a mist. “Come on; tell me first what’s going on with you”
Hae was starting to feel his body sweat and at the matter of fact, it was a rather cool afternoon unlike the rest of the days before and it wasn’t even stuffy in the living room. “… I don’t want to bring it up yet… no way!” he backed off a little more and Kyu didn’t like it any bit.
“Donghae, what is wrong~” he stopped as the door rang, “Oh, someone’s at the door, I’ll go get it” he quickly said and rushed to the door way, “God, whoever this person is, he’s a life saver” he took a deep breath before opening the door and he knows… he can feel Kyu’s eyes right behind him, still wondering on his actions.
“Oh, hey there, Hyuk is inviting you to go to the mall with us… I really wanted to spend more time with you while I’m here. I hope you’d at least give me some free time since there’s it’s not yet your curfew for school for you guys tomorrow” the person giggled. “Of course I’d go, it’s been quite a long while since we’ve ever seen each other. I’ll just get ready while you get inside and make yourself comfortable like always” in a way, Hae’s tensed and worried mood shifted to a light and easy feel.
“Oh, by the way, I haven’t really introduced you to this friend of mine…” the two walked and Hae sat at the chair while he pointed the guy to sit at the couch where Kyu was. “Kyuhyun, this is my old friend when I was a kid. His name is Kim Ki Bum and Bummie, this is my…” he tried to think of a formal way to label him “Boyfriend” Kyu finished for him and he snapped his head to him and sent him daggers but to his surprise, Kyu was dead serious in sight.
“Oh… I-I ugh… didn’t know” Ki Bum looked a bit disappointed, “By the way, how long have the both of you been together?” he looked at Kyu’s intense glare. Yes, he’s glaring at someone that had just been introduced to him. “It’s been quite a while if you’d like to know. I can tell you one thing… he really loves me back” Hae couldn’t believe what was going on. “Kill me… please just kill me!” he shut his eyes for a second and took a deep and easing breath before starting off.
Hae was about to speak but Ki Bum contradicted “Really now? Well, too bad for him… I thought he had good taste with people and not those nerdy looking brats you find inside the lockers” he chuckled mockingly. “Oh, dear… there really is no way to stop him unless he loses” he couldn’t believe that a verbal war has been set. “Oh, I never imagined a pretty face like you would think he’s a guy that acts like a all the time around him… I guess, pretty faces like you confuse you’re thinking… if you think that you’re a in need of heat, stop barking on my boyfriend” he sharply said.
“Oh, is that so? At least, I know that I could attract Donghae with my good looks and not like yours which looked like a reject from a baby factory. If there’s one thing I know, he’s just been drugged to hang along with the likes of you” Hae was dumbfounded with their retorts. “Is that all that came up in your so called cranium? You’re a lousy excuse for a who wants to be banged like a total idiot down the sidewalk. I suggest you’d go to a damn strip club and do your best to show off that ugly of yours and make sure you open up wide so they could stick a whole PIPE LINE inside you to get your rocks off!”
“Okay, this is getting out of hand! It’s not even a minute that I’ve introduced the both of you to each other and you’re already tearing each other’s limbs off! This is really not what I’ve expected to the both of you, to think that the two of you were decent people…” he sighed sharply and looked Kyu “You!” he looked surprised “Stop claiming me as your boyfriend before I throw you out in the gutter!” Bum snickered and Hae heard it, he then faced him with the same angered expression “And as for you! I thought you’d behave if I’d let you meet him but no… it had to be a total disaster, doesn’t it?”
Hae was infuriated and took one more glance on the two before storming to his bedroom to change. He didn’t know what to do, it was the first time Kyu had acted like that to anyone and it was also the first he’d seen Bummie go y like that. Usually Kyuhyun would be kind and friendly to new people and Ki Bum would always give his killer smile to anyone he meets. But this, this is something that he had never expected.
At the meantime, Kyuhyun had his arms folded in his chest while he sat at the edge of the couch while Bum was at the chair Hae had sat before he knocked some sense into the both of them. They hadn’t let their eyes meet, not even once after Hae had left. For some reason they’ve seem to gain a momentary cease fire between the two of them. The surrounding between them was heavy and constricting.
Kyu took a piece of cake and had a bite, the cake didn’t taste sweet that he remembered it or maybe it was because the person with him is making it bitter. He didn’t know why, he was kind to people and only out on people he thinks that are s but he didn’t felt that this guy was a total head. This guy really held an exemption because even the slightest glimpse of him sent him ticking like a bomb.
It’ll be chaos if they’d be around each other’s hair even for a short time. As a matter of fact, Ki Bum shared the same feeling. He had never encountered someone that could get him off his cool, he was the calmest and reasonable person as much as far as he had known himself but at what had happened he didn’t had the clue he’d slip at the very sight of Kyuhyun.
Well, the both of them did have a hunch that it may had turned worse if they were introduced at the middle of Hae’s classmates and his hyung. Within the whole party they’ve done all the possible way to actually evade each other to collide or even get a 5 meter radius of each other. They already had bad vibes with each other and each time they’d see each other it sent their stomachs churning, it was an odd way of hating someone even though they hadn’t done anything to each other.
After an agonizing 5 minutes of waiting, they finally heard the bedroom door close and footsteps making its way down the staircase. Kyu stood up and tidied the coffee table after hearing that he’d come along with the mall, he wouldn’t be having any interest with the cake and drink. He brought it back to the kitchen along with the tray and Hae took a look at him before he disappeared from the living room. After that he saw Ki Bum looking at him, a bit shamed at what had happened, it was obvious at his expression that he was.
“I just want to be frank, I’m not mad but I am disappointed in what had happened. I didn’t expect that from either one of you” he said in a stern voice and then right after Kyu came and they both looked at the new comer but Bum quickly tore his gaze away. “I’m sorry, I guess I’ll just head on and~” Hae grabbed his wrist “You’re going along with us and no excuses!” he ordered.
Kyu felt like a kid being told on by his parent; he nodded in agreement. “Listen, I know the both of you aren’t real s and not that I’m going to discover that you guys really are. I want the both of you to start off, I mean, there’s no reason for both of you to act like two es fighting for a ! Pull yourselves together and act your age” he preached and gave both of them a serious look that says “Don’t ing mess with me” and they seemed to have gotten his message.
The two nodded but still didn’t looked at each other, Hae sighed. “At least they’re not trying to patronize each other or degrade one another…” he rolled his eyes. “Let’s go” he marched towards the door and the two followed but still kept a distance from one another. “So, did you bring your car?” Hae asked Bum, “Yeah…” and Hae looked at the other car at the parked at the street.
“Alright then, Kyu your sitting at front” he ordered as they made their way towards the car “W-What… W-Why… you know that the~” he stopped after seeing Hae glare at him. He just sighed and did what he was told; Bum on the other hand just tried his best to get his mind off the person that was just sitting adjacent to him. “I don’t want to hear any fuss on the both of you; all I want is for you guys to get along even for a short while. The two of you are my closest friend and I don’t want either one of you to dislike each other” they just nodded but Hae knows they didn’t mean it by heart.
“This’ll be a real hassle” he told himself as he watched from the back how awkward the two was being that close to each other. “I hope this isn’t a bad idea to get them to like each other”
When Ki Bum drove, the whole ride was quiet. The only thing that they could hear was the car’s light rumbling and the sounds of cars passing along. Later on Hae’s phone sounded off which broke the silence. “Yellow?” he answered the phone, “Hae, did Ki Bum picked ya up?” it was Siwon’s voice “Yeah he did, were already on our way”
“Alright, see ya at the cinema complex so we could all pick a movie before we take a stroll, catch ya later” Hae smiled and bid goodbye as he slid back the phone. After that everything fell back into complete still. “These two aren’t really going to get along anytime sooner” he wanted to just shrug the thought off as he looked at the window as he watched the buildings they were passing by.
When they did got to the mall, they were greeted with Siwon and Hyuk who had a questioning look in their faces, it wasn’t because Kyuhyun was tagging along, they know he’d come around. The thing that bothered them was, the two of them had a distance from one another and Hae was at the middle. He didn’t know if Hae had a contagious flu or something to be apart from each other.
As they went around, Hae explained to the two what was going on. “I guess both of them are jealous as . You know that the both of them have opened up to you about their feelings” Siwon commented at first, “They probably had bad vibes with each other knowing it’s a competition” he concluded. Hyuk nodded in agreement, “That’s the only thing that’ll explain it”
He thought that the two were only being childish that they’ve gone far off, but, maybe Siwon and Hyuk were right. Now that he thinks about it, Kyuhyun was well open on saying how much he loves him and Ki Bum ‘fessed up when they were younger. He liked the two but didn’t think he had made things clear for the two that… he doesn’t know what answer to give.
The whole night was partly great but mostly terrible, the two just couldn’t get along and they always end up getting on each other’s hair. Sometimes Siwon or Hyuk needed to interpose their feuds before things became scandalous at the mall. Hae was ashamed that he had known them. When it was around 9 in the evening, Bum drove both Kyu and Hae back to the house.
Kyu got off first but stayed behind Hae who was bidding his goodbye, “Sorry… this wasn’t the get together day that I was hoping for” Bum showed an apologetic look, he should, Hae thought to himself. He shook his head “Anyways, aside from the ruckus that the both of you did. I had fun… but if this ever happens again the both of you will end up on your own and I’ll take my leave” they both smiled.
Bum somehow got a glance on Kyu who gave him that spine tingling stare, “Oh… I’ll make sure you’ll pay for that attitude of yours” he thought to himself at the sight of Kyu’s expression. Kyu only gave a right back at you, “Alright then, I rather get going. See ya” he waved merrily as if he wasn’t scolded and closed the window and Hae waved back and he started to drive.
After the car was out of sight Hae averted his gaze to Kyuhyun and to Kyu’s surprise, Hae was still pissed. “Get inside! We’ll have a talk” he pointed to the house, he sighed lightly and complied. Hae watched as Kyu walked uneager to the house.
Once Kyuhyun heard a loud slam at the door, he winced and didn’t want to turn around and see a pissed off Donghae. When he heard him cleared his throat he knows he has to turn. Slowly he did and to his surprise, Donghae hugged him. He was bewildered by it; he didn’t know why he was now at the comfort of Hae’s arms wrapped around him. He looked at Hae’s head and slowly Hae faced him.
“I’m not mad, or would I ever be. I just didn’t understand why the both of you are like that. He’s my close friend since childhood and you’re my…” he still hasn’t found the right label to address him. Kyu’s eyes began to soften and his arms later then followed Hae’s lead. “Man, I love this guy so much…” he thought to himself as he looked at those captivating eyes he always ponders on.
“You don’t have to say anything yet… because for me, everything’s clear between the both of us and if your somehow ready sooner or later, you can say what I really am to you” Kyu’s eyes dwelled deeper into Hae’s as they continued to marvel on the twinkle that they see in one another’s eyes. “But let me start off first that… you mean everything to me and no one else” Hae’s heart trumped rapidly as he heard those words.
“Yes… Kyuhyun is… special to me… because I can never deny that… I… love him” he thought to himself. Hae smiled and nuzzled his face on Kyu’s chest. They just savored the moment, the most endearing moment they’ve came across.
After several minutes it was around 10 in the evening and they called it a night. Kyu, being more comfortable in living with the Lee’s household cozied himself first at the bed while Hae took a bath before getting some shut eye. Kyu was at his back, facing the ceiling and staring blankly at the thought of why did Donghae acted so pissed? Was he really upset when we had a fight? Things like that swam inside his head.
For about a few minutes he heard Hae making his way from the hall, just as he turned his face towards the door, he saw him get inside. He was half- and a towel wrapped around his gorgeous waists and remnants of water from the bathroom shower still lingered and gushed down that well-crafted body.
At one point, Kyuhyun felt himself burn in heat. It was the same at that night, it was intense and far too overwhelming to even restrain. Hae didn’t noticed the younger’s gaze all glued at his arrival, he just did what he normally did. He took some clothes at the dresser and got some loose pajama pants and a fit shirt. Kyu gulped when Hae took off the towel and he saw him wearing a fit and y looking pair of boxer briefs and he was already feeling the effects down south.
“I never get tired of looking at that fine grade and that luscious looking body” he noted to himself, Hae then turned after getting the pants on and was puzzled with the way Kyu looked at him, but specifically, at the lower part of him. Hae snapped his fingers to break the daze Kyu had “Yow! Are you half-a-sleep there or something?”
Kyu shook his head and stared back at him, “N-Nah… I… I was just… admiring the view” he couldn’t help but to bring out a grin. “ert!” Hae rolled his eyes and wore the shirt then sat at the side of the bed and tossing the towel at the study table. “Can’t I say stuff that I see?” Kyu said in a teasing tone, “You’re a natural , you know that?” Kyu chuckled.
They just stayed like that for a moment, their eyes laced together and their breathing the only sound inside the room. “So… what were you about to ask me earlier?” Hae started off and breaking the silence. “W-What? What did I want to ask?” Kyu couldn’t recall.
“Ugh… you’re getting old…” Hae then brought himself to rest his body at the soft bed and tucked himself in. “Takes one to know one” he retorted. “Aish… anyways, you said you wanted… to talk to me about something before… Bummie came” he was hesitant with his words and finally he saw that Kyu had remembered.
“Oh yeah, about that” that made Hae tremble a bit, “Oh ! Asking that kind of question in the bed isn’t such a smart idea!” he began to panic a little but Kyu didn’t bother to point out. “About that… I’ve been meaning to ask it. I really want to know…” Hae was shivering a little and he felt as if his heart was about to burst at the pause Kyu made.
Kyu was calm and didn’t dither with his words. “I just want to know from you whether~” Hae contradicted, “I did!” he just spouted and closed eyes then clenched his fist on Kyu’s shirt and making the latter wonder what he was trying to bring out, “I did… I really did want that to happen” Kyu was frozen stiff and didn’t know if he’d let him talk or not “I wanted it… you don’t know how much I felt like I was going to die if we weren’t going to continue. My whole body was in a blaze that I needed you… that I wanted to… have you” Hae peaked to see Kyu dumbfounded.
“There… I said it, I’m a total for thinking like that… but, it was true that… I really wanted you” Hae couldn’t take it anymore and buried his face out of embarrassment at Kyu’s warm and comforting torso. The younger then finally got a hold over his self and brought his arms to enclose the man. He chuckled lightly and Hae somehow thought of it as a mockery.
Hae peered at the younger with a rather pissed off look in his face, “What that supposed to mean” referring to the chuckle. “I… was just happy to hear that from you… in fact, I was amazed you said something like that to me” Kyu cupped Hae’s chin and hoisted it up so their faces were only an inch apart. “I never thought that… I’d hear something like that from you in my whole life”
Kyuhyun’s face was brilliantly captivating. His eyes, his nose, his brows, his eye lashes, his white complexion, his cheeks, his smile and his lips, “When did Kyuhyun looked like this?” he asked himself as he was stunned by the perfection he had seen. “I love you Donghae… and hearing those words, I don’t think my heart could take any more of it that I might suffocate on this feeling I have for you” he seriously said and not a beat was missed.
Hae didn’t notice that his cheek turned flush red but his eyes never faltered to stare at the young man. They stayed fixated to each other, basking at the glory of one another. They were perfectly intact at that position.
After some time in drowning at each other’s admiration Kyu smiled and Hae got contaminated. “By the way…” he looked at him with a questioning look “That night that something was about to happen, it… wasn’t the one I was about to ask” Hae felt a lump on his throat and still waited for what he was about to say, “Then what’s the question that you wanted to ask!” he wanted to ready himself for what’s about to come.
“I… I wanted to ask who that guy was since I’ve seen him at the party and after seeing him so close with Hyuk and you… I really felt insecure, I… I was jealous” for the first time Kyu had truly admitted jealousy. He was stubborn that he was being jealous with a stuffed panda but, hearing him say that about Ki Bum’s sudden entrance in the picture. He was somewhat impressed and felt that Kyu was a doll. “I’m sorry I got all defensive when you introduced him to me, I really felt annoyed when I saw him that close towards you”
“That’s alright Kyu…” he kissed him at the lips with a nice and slow motion. Kyu felt he was in heaven but not until he was thrown down the bed and made a loud thud. “Aw! What was that for?” he brought himself back up, “That’s for making me ‘fess up for something that you didn’t want to know! The kiss was just a diversion” Kyu smiled.
“Really, can I have more diversions?” he had a Cheshire cat grin his face and then a pillow went flying towards his face. “You’re sleeping at the floor tonight. Get the matt and get yourself ready to sleep, we have class tomorrow!” he ordered.
Hae then positioned himself for his sleep and Kyu couldn’t help but to only smile even more if that’s possible. He adored how Hae had acted, how he was shy about the things he had just said and for him it was all that it takes to do what he asks for. Hae heard Kyu rustling at the larger drawer behind him, after he heard Kyu lay the matt and took another pillow at the bed, he smiled beamed. “Goodnight, Kyu” that was the only thing Kyu needed to sleep peacefully.
“Goodnight, Hae” he closed his eyes, “Yeah, I could never measure how much I love this guy”
