“Donghae… Donghae… Donghae….” The voice calling out; the said man was gritting his teeth in frustration because of the never ending pester of the man behind him

“Donghae… Donghae… Donghae…” he halted as he had enough, “Donghae… Donghae… Donghae...” he didn’t even stopped, “What the do you want!?” he snapped earning the attentions of the other people around them

“Date tonight?” he saw a smirk right out of the reaction, Hae fisted his hand at the sight of the person in front of him “Like HELL I’ll go out with the likes of you!” he ranted

“No way will I be dumb enough to go out with you or even think of being with a ing guy! Don’t take me as a queer because I’m not got it!?” he pointed his finger and glared with such rage, “Don’t even come close to me anymore because if I really, really get fed up with you I’ll delicately skin you alive” he threatened

But as if he wasn’t even showing aggression, he only received a mischievous smile “Stop denying me and just go out with me” he teasingly said

“Ugh! Damn it” he groaned with such frustration and left him, “Donghae… Donghae…” again with his pestering, “Donghae… Donghae…” Hae saw an opportunity and saw a crowd of student going his way, he ran and pushed his way through the bustling bundle and didn’t looked back hoping he’d lost the damn man

When he felt that he had fully lost him he stopped to catch his breath, he panted heavily at the corner of the hall “Running away from someone?” he felt his heart nearly dropped when someone whispered behind his ear

He scuffled at the floor thinking it was Kyu until he had full focus on who it truly was “Damn it! Don’t sneak up on me like that hyung!” he blurted

Hyuk only raised a brow, “Sorry, you seemed so worked up with running away from something…” he paused knowing what scenario it truly was, “Or someone?” he clicked his tongue; he then offered assistance on lifting him up

“Ha… ha… very funny” he took the offer and got himself up; dusting the dirt behind him Hyuk eyed him “Still not able to get him out of your hair?” he asked although it was already obvious what the answer was

“If I was, would you think I’d be running for my life?” he sighed, “When would that dip stop his damn intentions for me? He’s been doing it since middle school and I’m damn frustrated until now!” he peeved

“Aren’t you used to it? To be honest I’ve gotten used to him, he really likes you and would you think he’d stop now? I strongly think he wouldn’t cease to pursue you until you give in, so why wouldn’t you~” Hae gave him a glare

“I’ll be damned before that’ll happen, I’m not going to date, talk nor even last a minute with him. Not now, not never!” he retorted making the older freeze at his fury

“Alright…” he raised both hands as a sign of surrender, little by little Hae’s rage subsided “I’m sorry… it’s just that being pissed everyday make me such an … it’s really driving me nuts” he gave out a weakened sigh

He placed a hand on his shoulder and gave it a light pat, “It’s fine, you can over this” he tried to lighten him up

“Come on, let’s get to class before the bell rings… you don’t wanna be late” he invited, Hae only nodded and made their way towards their classroom

He never really paid any attention to his class; he was more interested on knowing why Kyuhyun was like that. The truth was they never really got along with each other on middle school; they’d always fight and talk back like a battered couple. Only at a certain event that Donghae helped him when Kyuhyun was in a rough fight with a couple of bullies, Kyu became a friend and for about a month Kyu started asking him out and began to be clingy with him. He was confused at the sudden change but more on he’s more disgusted with what he’s acting

He mentally sighed with the thought of that day, maybe if he hadn’t come for Kyu’s help they wouldn’t be like that; they’d stayed the best enemies rather than being what they are right now but none the less everything had occurred so all he needed to do was to try and get away as much as he could. There was also one of the biggest problems he had though; Kyu was more than welcomed in their house since he became a friend for a month. It was a total nightmare how he didn’t falter to visit him and still asks him out. It was hell in his haven

After getting in the other classes, it was lunch time and he was really uneager since Kyu would be at the cafeteria. “So you brought lunch? I don’t wanna try the meat deli that’s in the menu today” Hyuk made a distasteful look in his face

“I don’t think even the meat deli would stand a chance against Kyu’s persistence” he gloomily said

Hyuk shook his head, “Knock it off and do your best to just neglect him” he advised for the thousandth time, “Like he’ll leave me alone if I’d act he didn’t exist” he groaned at the useless thought

“Come on, I don’t wanna waste time talking about the guy~” “Gay!” he corrected, “Whatever, I’m hungry so let’s go” he pulled him down the hallway towards the cafeteria

Making their way roughly towards the lunch room they stumbled upon Siwon near the entrance as he waved at them with aninviting smile, they made their way towards him “So, you guys have some packed lunch?” he questioned the two

Sighing, “I didn’t have one and Hae doesn’t seem to have one too” Siwon giggled. “Good, I have more than enough for us today, mom made me bring these for you guys so dig in and don’t even leave a crumb of it” he gave them each a bento box, happy with the meal Hyuk whole heartedly took his part, “Thanks hyung” Hae said before taking his

“Your mom really knows how to spoil us that’s for sure” he chuckled, “That’s fine… mom is quite fond of you guys and most of all…” he trailed of and took a look on Hae’s face, “You and Kyu” all Hae could react was an eye roll

“Please don’t bring up the discussion” he pleaded and he ate his food, “Well he is nice, smart and caring. Even though he’s a trouble maker from time to time he’s someone to adore, so why not just give him a chance to… I don’t know, at least have a date with him just once” Siwon could practically heard a groan from him

“It’s bad enough that he keeps up his antics but please… don’t add up, if you see him like that it’s better off you take the date” Siwon only chuckled and shook his head “Well none the less, he still won’t stop until you give in to it…” he gave a smirk

Wondering at the way he look; Hae raised a brow, “What?” by jutting his lips up front. Knowingly Hae didn’t bother to take a look “Oh, hey Kyu… here’s yours” Hyuk handed him his share, “Thanks” he sat uncomfortably close to Hae

“I knew I shouldn’t have gotten lunch, lucky me” he chuckled but taking a gander on Hae’s face from the corner of his eye, “Yeah, lucky you” Hae mumbled in his breath

“Well, as much as I love to watch you two go romantic in front of us. Now that you guys are here, I was planning on having a little outing between friends… it’s a summer escapade for the 4 of us. My mom’s thinking to us to our vacation house just beside the shoreline, so if you guys don’t have plans after the last day of school and the start of summer break… your all free to join in” he happily invited

“Oh… I’m in, I really had nothing to do at the start of summer so it’s better off having a 4 day outing than staying inside the house all day” Hyuk didn’t had second thoughts

“I’m fine with that, maybe a little outside activity would help me since I’m going to be stuck with video games if I’m not with Donghae” Hae rolled his eyes to what he said and he could practically feel the eyes staring straight at him

“I think I’ll pass on this one… my… my mom’s thinking of going out of the city to… go to my grandparent’s place so… yeah, I won’t be able to come along” he didn’t sound that convincing for Kyuhyun though but both Hyuk and Siwon nodded

“That’s a bummer; well at least it’s the three of us huh?” Hyuk took a bite on his egg roll, “That’s a shame, mom wanted to see us all… well if it’s for your folks then, I can’t argue with that though”

“Oh… I thought it’ll be fun to have you there Hae… walking down the shore with you, holding hands, watching the sunset and maybe… kiss under the orange glow of the sun going down, it’s perfect for the two of us” Hae felt he would gag out his food and the two only laughed

“Shut the up” he retorted, “Maybe we could have a wonderful night as well, under the stars and sleep on the same bed. Kind of like having a honeymoon~” he trailed off after Hae stood from his seat

“I think I lost my appetite, see you guys later then” he left them but both Hyuk and Siwon couldn’t stop their laughter, “Are you really planning to do that stuff with him? Maybe playing around with him isn’t such a good idea Kyu” Hyuk saw the younger’s eyes dart to him

“I’m not joking nor playing, I plan on doing those things if I’m given a rightful chance” he smirked

“Well whatever you’d probably do if he’s not at the outing, you won’t do anything for a couple of days” Hyuk stated

“No worries hyung, everything will be fine. I can handle him” he showed a triumphant grin, earning a mischievous smile on the two

Donghae on the other hand was marching towards his locker; he was rummaging some book for his next class. He’d rather go to the next class earlier than to see him again, he hated his guts for being so full of himself to just ask him out and say that he loves him like it was nothing. Now that he realized it, it was only a month since they’ve been friends from middle school and now that they’re both on junior high, it’s a puzzle to think on why a guy would fall for him in such a short span of time

He sighed, shrugging off the thoughts about it. He shouldn’t be thinking about it, he really shouldn’t. School was already a headache so if Kyuhyun were to add up in his problems it would mean chaos; he brought out one last sigh before closing the locker door. Freezing at the feeling of being looked at someone from behind, he knows it quite well on which the person is. He tried to steady his breathing, trying to calm himself not to go wild in front of the other student that are walking around the hall

“I know how you love sweets right, so here” he heard him say, he tried not to turn around and look but he felt a hand take a grip on his arm and swung him around; eyes landing on a red box with a ribbon “It’s special, I wanted you to have it since you really are special for me” he took a look on the younger’s face and saw a warm hearted smile

“What the hell is this supposed to be?” he raised his brow and waved the box that was given to him, “It’s chocolate truffles, they’re your favorite right? You said it before so, I wanted you to have it” the damn smile never seem to fade

“I really shouldn’t I mean… you could give it to a girl or~” Kyu just walked away with what he was trying to say, he didn’t want to hear anything else from Donghae’s thought so he figured it’s better to just leave him. “Hey!” he retorted with the way the younger was responding, as much as he wanted to give it back the bell rang and the crowd of student went everywhere

Knowing it’ll be hard to give it back to him with all the people around and the fact that he might be late for class; he pushed the urge back in his thoughts and placed the box inside his locker, hoping later he would be able to return it. He bit his lip with what he said. Truthfully he had told Kyuhyun about his certain likings, the food he liked, the places he wanted to go, the movies and the sport he wanted to play. They were open back then, he was a great friend before everything turned out as a courting for Kyu but knowing him, Kyu wouldn’t do anything that he had told him that he didn’t like

His mind was roaming a lot about the outing, he’s been dying to jump in the waters and have some relaxing vacation. He was much anticipated but since Kyuhyun was also going along, he thought it would be better if he wouldn’t go as well. He mentally face palmed at letting that opportunity slip since Siwon has always invited them for several occasions to go out of town and stuff and everything always turned out great but not the fact that Kyu wouldn’t stop bothering him thought so it’ll just be rather worthless if he’d stick himself to the guy

When the last bell rang he made his way to the locker room, as he returned to books he got he saw the box of chocolates again. He was either having second thoughts of giving it back or just talking it with him. It wasn’t because he wanted to chocolates that much, he just didn’t want to confront Kyu again with these and he knows Kyu will leave as soon as he tries returning it to him, but what he did said was true. He loved truffles when Kyu first gave him some and to be frank Kyu only gave him the best ones too since it came all the way from Canada when his mom got there for business

Knowing it’ll be a waste and it might probably melt if he won’t think fast, he just shrugged his shoulders and took it. He opened the box and found a whole bunch of them, his eyes glistened on how much delightful treats that was inside. He could practically feel his mouth water at the chocolaty goodness of the dark round ball. “Whoa, truffles… where did you get these?” Hyuk mused

“Uhm” he gave a second thought of telling him, “You want some?” he offered, without further offer Hyuk took three of it out of the box

“Hmm…” he sweet reaction he gave as he ate one, “Never thought I’d taste one again, so where’d you got this?” he asked once more neglecting the stressed look on the other

“Taste good huh? Just shut up and eat if you like it” he concluded his wonder

Hyuk only raised a brow until he realized on who could it be, “Kyu’s sweet with you all the time, I wonder what he’ll give you? He is always giving you gifts and stuff out of nowhere” gave a thought as he ate the last one

“If you already knew who gave it why do you have to ing asked?” he sounded very pissed, “Easy, I was just teasing” he fended

“Well it’s definitely frustrating, just knock it off” he blurted, Hyuk then just tried to hold back a laugh, “So about the outing are you sure you won’t come along?” he brought out the topic

With a saddened face shook his head “It’s not really about you and your parents going to your old folk’s place huh?” another gloomy answer, “Can’t you just go tolerate Kyu? I mean he really does like you and it is honest, I’m starting to feel bad about him since your always turning him down. Can you just forget about everything for the~” Hae shot him a glare

“Do you understand my reason on turning him down? Yeah he’s nice, caring and very thoughtful I know that… that’s why I still consider him as a friend of mine but, what he’s doing right now is driving me away from him. I really just feel like he’s a valuable friend and not someone that I’ll consider as a… boyfriend” Hyuk took a deep breath knowing exactly what he meant

“That’s alright Hae… but still, you can never stop him from asking you out” feeling the reality in his words and knowing the man himself, he had nothing to argue with that kind of thing

They made their way towards the front so they could be seen by Hyuk’s mom;usually he was just dropped off at their place since Hyuk is his cousin and his auntie’s house was only a couple of blocks away from theirs so he always drove home along with them

“Hey guys, hope on” the car stopped in front of them and she told them to get going, “So how were your day dears?” she asked the two, “Boring… my English teacher didn’t cease to hit me with so much questions, he said that I need to practice a lot if I were to live to graduate with the subject” he grunted and Hae chuckled, “Maybe you should have paid more attention to what he was discussing… he wouldn’t say those things if it weren’t true” she chuckled

“Are you serious mom? Are you with me or against me?” he heard the two laugh, “I’m not going to side on you since I know your study habits… by the way, how’s yours Hae?” she averted her attention, it made Hae stop from his laughter “Ugh… well, it’s been rather~”

“His day was absolutely sweet in particular with someone, to boot it up he was given a box of chocolate truffles” Hae’s eyes widen with what he was spatting, “Oh… my, I never thought Hae had a girlfriend… she must be very sweet to be the one who’s giving the chocolates”

“Well actually~” Hae shut his mouth by placing a hand as a cover, mumbling with a hand stuck on his mouth Hyuk tried to pull the hand away but fails in doing so “Actually auntie, that was just came from a very thoughtful friend of mine. He happened to have some chocolates but he didn’t liked them because he was… not really a treat lover” he quickly brought out an excuse

Hyuk only narrowed his eyes and huffed, “Is that so, I thought you have a girlfriend because gosh, you guys are all growing up now” she seemed to have bought his excuse, he giggled forcefully and loosening his grip on Hyuk who was obviously eyeing on him with what he did

After a few minutes they chatted a bit more before they pulled up in front of Hae’s house, Hae waved them goodbye and paved his way to his home. He gave one tiresome breath out before going inside, “I’m home” he notified

“Hey, what took you so long?” he snapped his head on the person on the couch, “Oh hey there honey, I was just about to leave for some groceries… and I have to pick up some stuff at the mall, I might take a while so I’ve made something for the both of you to eat while I’m away. Just place it on the microwave for about a minute or two alright?” she got her keys and wallet and kissed him by the forehead and opened the door

“I expect the both of you asleep before 10 you know your curfews” she looked at the both of them and Kyu was sending a bright smile on her while Hae doesn’t seem so delighted with what she said

“I’ll be off them bye” she closed the door and the two heard the car roar it’s engine and heard it leave, sighing in what’s about to come Hae just threw his arms down and walked his way towards the stairs. Kyu’s eyes trailed him and he then got up from the couch, he followed him upstairs

Hae placed his bag at the side of the table and jumped into his soft bed, “Did you like it?” Hae didn’t want to even answer the question as he was slump under the comfort of his bed, “I was really about to bring along another box of it here but knowing that it would rot your teeth I plan on giving it to you some other time” he walked inside and sat beside the exhausted looking man

Smiling at the way he was so stubborn not to answer, he lay down beside him and turned his face to look at him. “So… still not thinking of going along with the outing?” he asked and he heard Hae mumble

“You should come along with us, it’ll be fun… and it would practically solve the issue that it would probably look like a date” it made Hae turn to face him with a sharp glare, “What the are you trying to say? It’s not a date it’s an outing and the will I go along with it” he seriously said

“Didn’t you say you wanted to go to the sea? Didn’t you tell me that it’ll be wonderful if you’re able to go to one and swim at the open space without lifeguards telling you not to jump here and there and run like a kid?” Hae blushed at the thought, he did told him that he had never been in the sea side, “I don’t recall saying such thing” he hid his face on the mattress

He heard Kyu chuckle, “Yeah right, you never stop telling me that before… it was always part of the to do list you wanted to clear, you dreamed of being there and spending time swimming and walking around the sand freely while you look for something that gets washed up in the shore” Hae’s face softened beneath the covers, it was still part of his dream

“Don’t let me interfere with it because you’re pissed off with me asking you out all the time, all I want is to make you happy, to see you smile and laugh… all I wanted was the person that I love would feel so delighted all the time, even… if it’s not me your happy about, as long as I see you have that smile…” he paused and Hae felt his heart beat rising

“I would never ask for anything in compensation, it would really be something for me to cherish just to have your smile in my memory” Hae felt truth with everything he was saying, he composed himself and took a look on the man laying down beside him. It made the younger smile to see him “Why do you care for me so much? Haven’t I turned you down more than enough? Haven’t I… made things clear that you’re only the best friend I could have and nothing more?”

Kyu nodded, “Actually it was like a hard slap on the face for me to hear that from you before and even until now it is, but, I would never trade in friendship for what I have for you, no matter how many times you turn me down, reject me, and curse me for all I know… I would never stop until… I could really say that I have you” he felt the intentions of his words fill him

It sent Goosebumps on his spine after he had said that and Kyu practically chuckled on feeling the bed tremble, “Maybe you can’t tell me you love me right now nor will you say it even if you feel it but… I’ll make you fall deeply in love with me that you’ll thrive to have me all the time, I’ll promise you that” he looked up at the ceiling and Hae thanked it since he felt himself burn with his vow

“You’ll never change you ” he responded, but deep inside his head. Kyu never broke an oath, he did every possible way to make sure what he swore would come true and he never does it without falter. He was scared. He doesn’t want to have a same relationship nor would he accept it, he denies that possibility and he was all against it but, knowing Kyu he wouldn’t give in no matter how hard it would be

Donghae then passed out; he didn’t notice himself growing weary with the thoughts of Kyu’s eagerness. He woke up and looked at the side of his bed, he was alone but he was well tucked in and he was under the blankets. He got himself up and looked at his clock and saw it was already around 7 in the evening, he felt his tummy rumbling. He brought himself out of the bed and down the stairs, yawing at the still tired feeling he saw Kyuhyun already having his meal on the kitchen

He didn’t made eye contact to him but Kyu silently offered him his plate with the food already heated and ready to eat, it was silent but now awkward; they were both used to eat like that. Even if Kyu would be so pesky with his date suggestions he was still welcomed in their household, he didn’t found it right to throw him away outside just because he was so irritating at time. Kyu still showed so much kindness to him

For all he knows it was Kyu who keeps him company since his mom and dad are rarely there to eat along with him or be there at time because of work and Kyu also had the same scenario. His parents are always out for work and would sometimes be away for a month or two just in a snap, he has a maid to look after him and cook, actually it was more of a nanny that took good care of him ever since childhood

Maybe that’s why he didn’t have the heart to shove him off the door to leave even if he’s fed up with his presence, plus Kyu is always there to help his with his studies when he didn’t know what to do. He was a good influence and no longer a though smartass guy after that day. He gotten used to everything and maybe his reactions are proof that it’s no longer a big deal with him

After the meal Donghae found himself sitting on the couch with Kyuhyun’s head lying down on his thigh, he always does that, and he could never shake him off at some reason. It was either Kyuhyun would straddle him down with his arms to stay put or having him snaking his arms around his waist. Yup it was a better option. Sighing at the documentary show Kyu was watching, he couldn’t think of why he was watching along with it, maybe it was because of the marine life he got to see. It was probably because of the fish and the other types of species that resided the unknown depths of the sea

Yeah, maybe it was just because he just wanted to see the shores and swim around. That’s probably it. Donghae didn’t notice himself drifting to sleep; all he could recall was seeing some school of fish being chased by a swordfish. The next morning he woke up, he was already in bed, he wondered but his thoughts began to process the arms around him. He felt the heartbeat of the person’s chest pressed on his back, the warmth of the man’s body was surely Kyu’s

Sighing and as it was bright and early, he didn’t want to make a commotion. He took a look on the clock and it was already 7 in the morning, rather early. He pulled away from the arms that kept him into place earning a grunt on the other who was still sleeping; this was actually the main reason why he wanted to calm himself. Kyu wouldn’t let him go if they’d slept on the same bed, he found himself being held hostage on his own bed whenever this occurred

“Let go, I need to go to the bathroom” he weakly said, “No…” the other replied. Trying to think not to be mad bright and early was rather tough though, “Cho Kyuhyun-ah, let me go before I strangle you and permanently give you your peace” he said in a flat voice

“Then kill me… I rather not let go of you” he retorted, “Kyuhyun-ah!” he was starting to snap, “Nope!” he answered back. “Keep your hands to yourself and let me go!” he could feel the other shake his head, “Not in a million years” he persisted

Hae only knew it won’t be easy, the only option was to go along on what he’s thinking. “What the hell do you want then” he said in defeat
 

“Kiss me” he answer and made Hae’s eyes open up wide

Donghae got down to the kitchen to have some breakfast, he was wondering on why his mom was still there though. “What was that loud wail that came from your room?” he smirked and giggled at the memory

“Nothing mom… Kyuhyun-ah just hit his head on the table” he chuckled right after, “By the way, don’t you have work?” he asked. His mom shook her head, “I do, but I’ll be leaving later around 9 so get ready before then so I could drive the both of you to school” he nodded

“Mom?” he caught her attention, “When will you let me drive?” he asked since he was at the proper age and it was also feeling rather unfair for him because Siwon, Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun already had student license and he was the only one who didn’t had one “Soon… it’s a very responsible thing to be learned and I want you to know how to in the right time. Don’t worry it won’t be long” she assured

“When will that be? When I get a family?” he joked, “No dear… oh, just in time” he snapped his head to the person his mom was looking at, “Sit down and get something inside your tummy” she ordered

“Thanks, by the way auntie, did Donghae told you something?” Hae raised a brow on that, “Something what?” she felt curious, he looked at Hae with a unknowing look “Choi Siwon hyung is having an outing for the 4 of us near the shore where there’s fine sand, he said that you’ll be leaving at the start of vacation for his grandparents is that true?” she wondered what he meant by the last part

Hae practically face palmed with what he said, “Sorry, I don’t recall having plans on going to his grandparents. Were you planning that dear?” she eyed on Hae, “N-No… w-why would I, I mean, no… I didn’t” he got lost with his words

“Well… if that’s the case then, is Donghae available to go along with us auntie? It’ll only be a 4 day outing plus Siwon hyung’s mom will be there to look after us” Hae gritted his teeth, “I so want to kill him right now” he thought

Both of them were drove off to school by Hae’s mom, though Kyu was planning on driving him to school if she wasn’t able to. As for changing clothes Kyu had some extra clothing packed whenever he decides to stay for the night there. They both walked towards the entrance and at the hall, “So… are you happy now?” he rashly said

“You don’t know how” he smile, “To be honest I feel better than I expected” he chuckled “Whoop di due” Hae sarcastically said

“The two of you seem together, you slept in their place?” Hyuk asked, it wasn’t really much of a secret that he would sleep from time to time there “Yup, and guess what. He’s joining for the outing” Hyuk gasped in excitement

“No really? Wow, you really know how to get him” he giggles making the other grunt, “Will you excuse me, I need to get something from my locker” he bluntly said, moving faster to get to his locker
