"Hey do you have another pen?"

Tao nodded and handed Luhan one of his pens "Thanks"

They were sitting in the Mandarin lesson they had to take {even if they already had perfect Mandarin} in the SME buildings.

"Hello!" the manager stepped in to the small class "I need to speak with your teacher for a second, Kris, you're in charge"

The moment the door closed everyone were on their feet. The five boys started running in the room while talking loudly to each other.

"Boys!" the teacher scolded them when she opened the door just few minutes later.

The boys were re-settling in their places when the manager announced "there's a new kid joining the group! He is going to be the last member of EXO-M, be NICE!"

Everyone set in silence when HE walked in the room

"Present yourself" the teacher said kindly.

"Ah-amm... Hello, my name is Jongdae, but-but you could call ne Chen. It's nice to meet you all" he bowed nicely and walked to sit on the front row.

~~Luhan's pov~~

We were having a break and like always we sat together on the back of the class, speaking in Mandarin so no one unwelcomed will understand.

"Jongdae, ha? Defiantly not Chinese" Lay said

"Why do you think he's here anyway? He clearly can't understand a word we're saying. Couldn't he have joined the EXO-K group?" Kris said while looking at Tao playing with his fingers.

"Maybe they wanted him for something else but he wasn’t good enough for the K group and they didn’t have someone else to put here with us" Lay wondered out loud

"Yeah, I mean, he's not even good looking" Tao agreed

"Well as the oldest one and the Korean one I'm going to talk with him" Xiumin said and then walked to the boy that was sitting alone in the front row.

"GeGe? Are you okay?" it took me a moment to understand Lay was referring to me "what? Yeah-yeah I'm good"

Back at the dorm~

"GeGe can I move to your room?" I heard Tao asking Kris in Mandarin

"You don’t need to move out... I think Xiumin should stay with HIM"

"Why me?" Xiumin asked (all of them still talking in Mandarin, making only one person in that room to not be able to understand)

"Because you're Korean and the oldest"
Xiumin thought for a moment and then said "you're right, I am the oldest, this is way Tao will move in with me and Lu could stay with the new kid"

"WAIT WHAT?!"

'I did not see that coming'

After a lot of arguments and the leader being over protective for his precious baby I walked in to my new room and saw that he was sitting on one of the beds with legs up and head down.

'Oh please don’t tell me he's crying!'

"Dude… are you okay?"

He didn’t answer but I could hear a sob

'Goddammit!'

I walked out of the room and didn’t return until the next morning

We got to the recording room early, we were not going to record anything but in that way we could each go in there and practice while the trainer and other members could listen.

Our trainer was nice most of the time, but some of us really needed to get better before we could even talk about debuting. Not me of course, I was the best!

"So who is going to start today… how about we will give the new kid a chance?" the trainer said with a smile. I heard Kris snores, we already decided that he's here just because of some mistake. He's not that good looking, like me. He's not Chinese, like me. And there is no way he could sing with that voice, not like me.

We watched him walking in to the small room. He grabbed the mic and sat on the chair.

"You can go ahead and start honey" the trainer told him through the mic that was connected to his headphones. He closed his eyes. And started singing...

'WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!'

"Guys... meet your new main singer"

The manager said proudly 

Chen walked out of the recording room and saw the manger smiling at him, the trainer looking for the lyrics sheets and five shocked boys that were staring at him with huge eyes. 

Chen blushed 

Luhan got up and ran out of the room

'Did I do something wrong?' Chen had no idea why he would act like that. 

Kris got up and walked past the boy into the recording room, it was his turn.

'Should I follow Luhan-ssi?'

He walked shyly torward's the manager "May I-" "yes you may"

"Luhan-ssi?"

 His voice called my name. That voice. How could this be?!

"Luhan-ssi?" He called again, this time it was really close  

I opened my eyes and saw that he was standing in front of me. I got up and looked at him. 

"Are you ok Luhan-ssi?"

"Your voice"

Chen looked at me confused 

How cute

"Wh-what about my voice?"

"I thought.. We all thought that you were here just by a mistake.. You're not, obviously.."

He looked at the floor or was it his feet?

"Luhan-ssi.. I have a confession to make.. Last night, after you left the room I-I heard someone singing in the shower.. And it was you-you have such a beautiful voice Luhan-ssi... Do you think maybe we could..."

Could what? Could what?!

"Maybe we could practice together sometimes?"

"On one condition..."

He looked at me with big eyes

"Call me hyung..."
