Jiyong was itching to speak with his daughter after having the conversation with his friend, Soo Hyuk. 

There was so much he wanted to ask.  He wasn’t able to talk to Dani after the audition.  It would create

an issue if he just casually approach one of the contestants.  The media might make a big deal out of it

and dig deeper into Dani’s personal life.

If he was given a choice, he would pull out his daughter from the competition.  It’s just the right thing to

do.  He doesn’t want Dani’s youth abused by the entertainment industry.  He had experienced the worst.  And he almost didn’t make it through.  He lost his chance to have a family.

Jiyong tried calling Dani on the contact number she wrote on her profile sheet.  He had been trying to

contact her for hours but, she was not answering his calls.  He already left numerous messages on her

SNS.  He even tried calling her home contact number but, he was directed to voice mail.  He is getting

impatient by the seconds.  He just wanted to grab his jacket and go to where the

participants of Kpopstar are practicing.

Dani just finished rehearsing.  She immediately grab her things and bid goodbye to everybody.  Once she

got in the backseat of her car, she fished out her phone from her bag.  Numerous missed calls were

 displayed on her phone screen.  She opened the first message sent by her mother. 

          Let’s go shopping. I’m coming to pick you up from your workshop.

Dani panicked.  Her mother can not come to Kpop Star!

          Why are you not answering my calls?

Shoot.  She’s mad.  She will not accept any excuses when her mother gets mad.  She dialed Dara’s number .  She was biting her lips to calm her nerves.  It didn’t take long for her mother’s to answer.

“Mom?  I’m sorry.  We were practicing-“

“Are you still at the workshop?”  Dara asked with a stonecold voice.

“Y-yes.”

“Don’t move an inch.  I’m almost there. “

“I can just meet you at the shopping mall-“  Dani suggested.  She doesn’t really want Dara to see where she’s “practicing”.

“STAY THERE!”

Dani just stared at her lock screen.  She should prepare herself at the incoming wrath coming her way.   Of all the things she hates the most is seeing her mother angry.

She was deep in thought when one of the staff knock on her window.  She rolled down the window to let him speak.

“Jiyong wants to speak with you.”  Only friends of her Dad calls him Jiyong. 

“Now?”

“He’s waiting at the basement parking.”

Dani can’t think.  Her mother will be there any minute.  It’s dangerous if Dara finds out her father is there as well.  That will be double betrayal. 

Dani get off the car.  She would take the risk.  Her mother won’t kill her, would she?  She followed the staff leading her to the basement but before she could make another step, someone grabbed her arm.

“Where are you going?”

“Mom!”  Dani felt the blood drained from her body.
